After the details, Conrad waited for a moment while he ate some snacks, and then his computer made a notification sound.
He wiped his hands and then opened his mail to check on the details.
As his eyes landed on the details, he checked the images and videos. Conrad felt that his blood was boiling.
"Torture, trafficking, drugs, children..."
"Everything is pretty official, and documents do not seem to be wrong."
"From any kind of a moral point of view, this guy must die."
Lanista Matara was an evil man. Conrad understood that much at this point. He understood why he would have enemies that would like him to be killed.
Not to mention the fact that he is from some sort of royal army, which would already make him a target for many people due to political influences and everything.
Now, the fact that his evil side can be seen is documented heavily.
It is only to be expected that somebody would kill him dead.
Conrad closed the computer and then took a deep breath. He informed Adarte and Anisa that they should meet in the morning.
He wanted to give them more details and move.
The time passed quickly, and in the morning, Conrad already gave his answer to Elena about accepting the task.
Elena sent him another file about the Matara Kingdom, how to get there easily, and who works with the Hunter Association. Everything that could be helpful to them, and then said, "Good luck," without talking much.
Conrad, Adarte, and Anisa meet up in a restaurant and order some breakfast for themselves, and Conrad starts talking, giving information.
"So,"
"We have a mission that I sought to find from my friends."
"First of all, it is an assassination of a different government, some sort of a monarchy, and as you can expect, it is a dictatorship of some sort."
Adarte and Anisa nodded and kept on eating. They were excited but not scared.
They believed and trusted themselves. They trusted Conrad even more.
They know that if he takes a mission, it must be something important and not a small job.
Conrad drank from his tea as he ate and then said.
"After completion of the task, we will each be paid one billion yen."
These words made both think and stop eating for a moment.
Even for a hunter, or in the case of Adarte and Anisa, one billion yen is no funny amount of money.
Some of the servers cleaned the table as the breakfast ended, and Conrad placed some papers on the table for Adarte and Anisa to see.
Both took the papers and read them quickly to have more details about the mission.
Their faces could be read without much of a problem at all.
"Fuck this guy," Adarte could not hold it anymore and said as he tossed the paper on the table. Not looking and inspecting the papers anymore.
His blood boiled from the anger as he read about the details and what their target did to people and how much of an evil guy he is.
Anisa kept on reading.
She tried to keep on reading without changing her face and giving reactions, but it was easy to see that she was having a pretty hard time keeping a neutral face.
Conrad looked at the both of them after they stopped looking at the papers and said.
"We are not heroes or anything."
"We do not have any reason to be heroes."
"We are not that clear-minded, people," he kept his silence for a moment after these words and then added.
"But it feels great when making money also involves cleaning the trash of this world."
Adarte and Anisa both nodded and felt the same.
They did not go out of their way to do evil or good.
If it works for them and is important for them enough, they are pretty much capable of doing evil deeds and being selfish to the core.
But knowing that they will get paid to kill this monster of a human.
It made them feel good.
"From your reactions, I can safely say that you guys have no problem accepting this mission."
Adarte and Anisa nodded, and Anisa spoke first.
"If I knew this guy and believed that he would be not much of a threat to me, I would kill him without even needing to get paid from it."
"The money makes it easier to just go and kill him." Anisa said her eyes were red.
Adarte nodded.
"I agree with Anisa."
"We are with you, Conrad; just say the word and we are ready to move."
Conrad nodded.
"Great."
"That is what I expected."
"Now, as you can see in the details."
"We are expected to crush one hundred men armed with guns and at least three nen users that are part of the royal family."
"It is more than likely that these three nen users paid good money to be there and protect that guy and would likely have knowledge of Prince and his heinous acts."
"From this, it is not hard to tell that these people are also evil to the core."
"These three nen users gave us what we are looking for in terms of life-and-death experience."
"Each one of us will take one of them down."
"Their information is pretty hidden, so discovering it is on us when we reach there."
Adarte and Anisa both took a moment to think and then nodded.
"Good."
"We will leave in the nighttime. Prepare while you have the chance and get ready to leave at night."
Conrad then got up and left the restaurant and went back to his room.
