Chapter 250 - Chapter 253 Fire Demon

  Chapter 253 Fire Demon

After Frigga left, Finney couldn't help but ponder.

Concealment wasn't a particularly powerful spell, but it was originally used in military campaigns, indicating it wasn't something easily acquired.

Yet Frigga had taught him the spell so easily. Perhaps she didn't have any special intentions, but Finney preferred to think more complexly.

"Is it because she found out the reason and wanted to express her apology?!"

  Finney couldn't help but wonder.

However, Finney felt that even if that was the case, it was Frigga's own doing, because Odin, given his personality, was definitely not the type to do such a thing.

Finney had to admit that Odin had a good wife, even knowing that Frigga's purpose might be to win back his attitude towards Asgard.

But he still fell for it, because the spell was incredibly useful to him, and during this time, Frigga hadn't neglected his needs in any way; he remembered all of that.

With a sigh, Finney used Concealment to hide some of his belongings, immediately feeling much lighter, and once again marveling at the convenience of this magic.

Lying on the soft bed in Asgard, Phineas wondered what Frigga would say to Odin about his trip to Muspelheim. He wished he could resolve the matter without seeing Odin.

However, Phineas's hopes were quickly dashed, as Odin sent for him the next day.

Arriving at the palace hall, he found it nearly empty, with only a few guards, Odin, and Frigga waiting for him.

  "Your Majesty!"

Although he disliked Odin, Phineas still bowed; after all, they hadn't truly fallen out, and besides, he represented Kamar-Taj.

Odin nodded, his face expressionless. Seated on his golden throne, gripping Gungnir, he said in a deep voice, "Frigga told me you plan to go to Muspelheim and the other realms to challenge people?"

  "Yes!"

  Phineas nodded, saying nothing more.

Odin gazed at Phineas. Although he didn't quite believe Phineas's reasoning, he trusted Frigga's judgment, so he finally said,

"I will have Heimdall keep an eye on you. As long as you don't start a war, Asgard will absolutely not interfere with your affairs again."

  "Alright!"

Phineas agreed. Although he didn't like being constantly watched, that was the reality. Before reaching a certain level of power, he could only choose to compromise on some things.

After saying this, Odin didn't say anything more.

  ...

After resting for a day in Asgard, Phineas prepared to depart for Muspelheim.

Upon reaching the Rainbow Bridge, Finney saw Heimdall waiting for him there. Thinking about the possibility of being watched for a while, he said with slight annoyance, "Listen, no watching me when I'm in the bathroom."

Heimdall remained expressionless, not responding to the question, but instead staring at him and asking, "Are you really planning to go to Muspelheim?" "

  Is there a problem?"

"The environment there is even harsher than Jotunheim!"

  "It's alright!"

Finney waved his hand dismissively; harsh environments would only make him stronger.

In its normal state, 'Demon Possession' didn't have fire resistance, so perhaps going to Muspelheim would allow 'Demon Possession' to evolve again.

Seeing Finney's resolute attitude, Heimdall didn't try to persuade him further, simply adding, "If there's any emergency, remember to call my name."

Hearing this, Finney glanced at him and replied, "Aren't you going to keep watching me?"

  "I trust you!"

Heimdall said something, then turned and walked towards the control panel, sword in hand, leaving Finney standing there, momentarily stunned.

A smile played on Finney's lips as he shook his head. Although the Asgardians were somewhat arrogant, becoming friends with them had been quite pleasant.

Following Heimdall, Finney stood before the teleportation portal.

"Don't send me random locations this time. I'm going directly to the vicinity of their palace."

Fearing a repeat of last time, Finney had specifically reminded him before teleporting, but Heimdall's reply surprised him.

"If you're looking for their king, then forget it!"

Heimdall shook his head, looking at Finney, and said, "The fire giant of Muspelheim has been gone for a long time. The original palace is now in ruins. I can't find his location either. At most, I can only help you find a place where fire demons gather."

  "Uh..."

Finney was dumbfounded; he truly hadn't known about this situation.

Heimdall noticed that Finney seemed unaware of this and asked, "Still going?"

"Yes, let's send the message to the Fire Demons!"

Finney nodded. Even if he couldn't find the enemy, he wanted to leave a coordinate. These worlds with their unique environments might come in handy someday.

Hearing Finney's reply, Heimdall didn't speak further. He inserted his longsword into the device and activated the Rainbow Bridge.

As a dazzling light shone, before Finney entered the Rainbow Bridge passage, Heimdall's voice rang in his ears again:

"The gathering place is in the volcano one kilometer to your right. Also, the Fire Demons' intelligence is very limited; they might not understand you!"

  ...

Muspelheim was a land of fire. Finney had imagined what it would be like before coming, but like his initial arrival in Jotunheim, Muspelheim was far hotter than he had imagined.

The sky in Jotunheim was gray, and so was the sky in Muspelheim.

However, this ash was genuine ash, because Muspelheim was riddled with active volcanoes, and volcanic ash blanketed the entire sky.

  "Cough cough!"

The thick sulfurous smell in the air made Finney feel extremely uncomfortable. Lacking resistance, he found Muspelheim far more unpleasant than Jotunheim.

  "Temperature drop!"

  "Air purification!"

Fortunately, Finney was relieved that the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' was highly effective in Muspelheim, almost as effective as on Vormir.

So he immediately used the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' to improve his surroundings, which made him feel much better.

Finney looked around. Except for his immediate vicinity, where he could see clearly thanks to the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' everything beyond that was a hazy gray, completely obscured.

Seeing this, Finney couldn't help but frown. While the environment in Jotunheim was also harsh, at least he could see clearly, unlike here, where he could see nothing beyond a few meters.

He once again envied Heimdall's eyes, wondering how he managed to see clearly in this environment.

Remembering his words before teleporting, Finney sighed, activated stealth mode, and flew towards the location where the fire demons were gathered.

It seemed a little too late…
