Chapter 251 - Chapter 254 Water, Come!

  Chapter 254 Water, Come!

In the scorching heat, every breath Fini took was hot.

Due to limited visibility, Fini's flight speed was slow, taking him a long time to reach the volcano Heimdall had mentioned. He searched the area around the volcano but couldn't find a single fire demon as described.

"Could they have tricked me again?!"

Fini couldn't help but wonder, but immediately dismissed it as unlikely.

Recalling Heimdall's words, Fini suddenly looked up at the crater belching black smoke.

  "Is it inside?"

Fini felt there was no other possibility.

Fini used his Flying Technique to reach the crater and peered inside, but the thick black smoke obscured his view.

  "Wind!"

Fini calmly used the 'Golden Great Evolution Technique' to summon a gust of wind, dispersing some of the smoke and dust, thus revealing the interior of the volcano.

Besides the flowing, fiery red lava, numerous creatures hung densely on the volcanic walls.

With two horns, a dark brown body resembling magma ash, and crimson eyes somewhat resembling his 'possessed by a demon' state, Finney was startled by the terrifying number of fire demons.

  At

first glance, it seemed there were thousands.

Because they were invisible, the fire demons hadn't noticed Finney. Although confused by the earlier gust of wind, their limited intelligence prevented them from thinking too much about it, and they continued to sleep hanging on the wall.

Feeling the intense heat of the crater, Finney hesitated for a moment, then revealed himself at the entrance, calling out,

"I am a mage of Kamar-Taj, and I wish to spar with you!"

Muspelheim was one of the Nine Realms, with translators available, so communication wasn't a problem. Hearing Finney's voice, the fire demons inside the volcano stirred, exchanged glances, and began climbing outwards along the walls.

Watching the fire demons emerge from the crater like ants, Phineas wondered how to talk to them.

But before he could decide, his heightened hearing, enhanced by his 'breathing technique,' allowed him to overhear some unfriendly conversation among the fire demons.

  "What's that?"

"It looks like someone wearing armor."

  "Can we eat it?"

  "I don't know!"

Phineas frowned. The fire demons' conversation almost entirely revolved around whether he was edible, which inexplicably filled him with unease.

Suppressing this worry, Phineas looked at the fire demons still emerging from the crater and said in a deep voice, "I am Phineas Hellscythe, a mage of Kamar-Taj. I wish to spar with you!"

  "What is he saying?"

  "I don't understand!"

"Should we capture him and hand him over to the King?"

"The King is resting and said not to disturb him!"

  "Then let's eat him?"

  "Okay, let's eat him!"

Phineas suddenly realized he had made a grave mistake. He shouldn't have gone to Jotunheim first. If he had come to Muspelheim first, the situation might have been quite different.

Looking at the fire demons who had suddenly decided to eat him, he understood why Heimdall had specifically warned him that their intelligence was limited.

After a deep sigh, Finney raised his voice, drowning out the fire demons, and said again in a deep voice, "I mean no harm, I just want to spar with someone!"

But the fire demons didn't care about that; their limited brain cells only knew how to sleep, eat, and obey their king's orders to fight.

  "Eat him!"

one of the fire demons shouted, and the fire demons immediately charged towards Finney.

To be polite, Finney had landed on the crater's surface when he spoke earlier. Looking at the thousands of fire demons before him, he was somewhat confused about how things had developed this way.

However, Finney didn't dwell on it too much. Although the development of events was somewhat unexpected, the result remained the same; his goal was simply to gain experience through combat.

"Since you're in such a hurry, then I won't be polite!"

Under his mask, Finney sighed, summoned the 'Breath of the White Dragon' from his storage space, and casually swung his staff, smashing it at the first fire demon that charged in front of him.

  "Crack!"

To Phine's surprise, this single blow shattered the fire demon's head, leaving him stunned.

Although he had unconsciously used extra force, and the 'Breath of the White Dragon's' was incredibly hard, the fire demons' physical defenses were surprisingly weak. The

fire demons seemed unfazed by their companion's death, lunging at Phine with gaping mouths.

  "Water Mode!"

Phine channeled water energy, unleashing the 'Water Mode' he had recently developed in Jotunheim. His

silver-white armor instantly transformed into sky-blue, a thin, pale blue water shield enveloping his entire body. He then expanded the water shield to its maximum size, immediately pushing back the fire demons that had just approached him.

While testing the water shield's defensive strength in 'Water Mode,' Phine also began testing the power of his 'Explosion Magic.'

  "Explosion!"

Because he had killed a fire demon with a single blow, Phine didn't dare use a powerful 'Explosion Magic,' only unleashing a simple, ordinary one.

However, the fire demon, which was extremely vulnerable in physical defense, performed exceptionally well in defending against 'Explosion Magic'.

Although it was just a simple instant-cast spell, without any enhancements or incantations, it was still 'Explosion Magic' with its strongest attack attribute. It hit the fire demon, seemingly without causing any damage.

Seeing this, Finney wasn't particularly surprised; this situation was within his expectations, which was the main reason he hadn't made Muspelheim his primary target.

The damage from 'Explosion Magic' mainly comes from two points: the terrifying heat and the explosion.

The fire demon is a creature that can live inside volcanoes, and even its body seems to be composed of heat-resistant materials, so the high temperature of 'Explosion Magic' has virtually no effect on them.

Seeing the fire demon quickly surrounding him with a water shield, Finney frowned. Fortunately, 'Golden Grand Evolution' was very effective here.

  "Water, come!"

Finney focused intently and then used 'Golden Grand Evolution' to summon a small waterfall around him.

A torrent of water erupted from the sky!

If the frost giants of Jotunheim are weak to fire, then the fire demons of Muspelheim are undoubtedly weak to water.

Scorching flames cause them negligible harm, but clear, icy water inflicts excruciating pain. A little water is bearable, but such a large quantity is something none of the fire demons have ever seen in their entire lives.

  Screams of agony instantly erupted.

Out of fear of water, the fire demons near Phineas scrambled to escape, trying to get away from Phineas's water shield. However, their sheer number made approaching easy, but escaping was much more difficult.
