Chapter 249 - Chapter 252 The Art of Concealment

Chapter 252 The Art of Concealment

Fortunately, Odin wasn't as bad as Phineas thought. When he returned to the palace, he didn't have Phineas's belongings disposed of.

After finding the star map and carefully storing it on his person, Phineas began to think about how to tell Odin about going to Muspelheim.

However, before he could think of what to say, Frigga found him first.

"I heard you caused quite a scene in Jotunheim just now!?"

Frigga didn't sound accusatory; instead, she showed a hint of sadness and said, "Thor and Loki did the same thing!"

"Can I know your reasons for doing that?"

Phineas was someone who responded better to gentle persuasion than force. If Odin had kindly persuaded him to go back, he might have listened.

But who was Odin? The King of Asgard, the Allfather, accustomed to being high and mighty, and with the Frost Giants present, it was practically impossible for him to treat Phineas that way.

But Frigga was different. Although she was a queen, she was still a woman, and her gentle and kind tone didn't seem strange at all. Coupled with the meticulous care she had received during this time, and the gold coins, all of this made Finney feel very favorably towards her.

"I just want to find someone to fight!"

Finney looked at her frankly and answered, "Besides, I didn't intend to kill those frost giants. I have control over the power of my magic; it won't cause any casualties."

Hearing Finney's words, Frigga's face showed a hint of surprise.

She was a witch, and a very intelligent and powerful one at that. She had her own methods of judging people and trusted her own judgment. She felt that Finney wasn't lying, which was why she was surprised by this answer.

"Just want to find someone to fight!?"

Frigga unconsciously asked again; this reason was truly unexpected.

Thor and Loki's rampage in Jotunheim stemmed from two reasons: firstly, Loki's scheme had allowed the Frost Giants to interrupt Thor's coronation; secondly, the Frost Giants and Asgard were practically sworn enemies.

  "Yes!"

Finney nodded. Odin trusted Frigga implicitly, and using her to convey his thoughts was a good approach.

Frigga looked at Finney with some confusion and asked, "Then why go to Jotunheim to find the Frost Giants?"

  "Not just Jotunheim!"

Finney looked at Frigga and explained, "Actually, I plan to go to Muspelheim next, and also Alfheim and Svartefheim."

Frigga paused again, asking, "Are you also looking for someone to fight?"

  "Yes!"

Although Frigga believed Finney wasn't lying, she didn't quite understand his reasons. She actually had a very good impression of Finney.

Because she also loved reading, and when she learned that Finney spent a lot of time in the library every day, she wondered how Finney and Thor, with such different personalities, could become friends.

But now it seems there's a reason.

"Is it not possible in Asgard? We have many powerful warriors too. If all else fails, I'll be your opponent. To be honest, I've always wanted to see your fire magic!"

Frigga looked at Finney. She knew Finney had almost no rivals in Asgard; even Thor had been defeated by her.

However, this didn't mean Asgard was weak; it just meant Finney was very strong. If no one in Asgard could defeat Finney, it would be even harder to find someone in other realms who could.

Hearing Frigga's words, Finney showed a hint of helplessness. Although she was somewhat looking forward to the experience Frigga could offer, she still said:

"It's not about the opponents. Asgard is wonderful, but I also want to explore the other realms and experience different races and abilities."

Hearing this, Frigga couldn't continue trying to persuade Finney to stay in Asgard.

  "Alright!"

Frigga sighed, looked at Finney seriously, and said, "Mr. Hellscythe, Asgard has sacrificed a lot for the peace of the Nine Realms. I hope you can understand that."

  "I understand!"

Finney nodded. After so long, his anger had subsided, so he said, "When I go to the other realms, I will challenge people in the name of the sorceress of Kamar-Taj. I won't start battles casually."

Frigga's gaze softened considerably. She knew Odin was worried that Finney would cause turmoil in the Nine Realms, but after understanding Finney's thoughts, she felt that the possibility was unlikely.

Afterwards, Frigga didn't leave but instead discussed magic with Finney.

During this time, Finney had read a lot about Asgardian magic in the library, and there were still many things he didn't understand. Now that he had the greatest sorceress of the Nine Realms to ask, he naturally asked immediately.

He even unexpectedly learned a small spell that was extremely useful to him:

  Concealment.

As the name suggests, it's a spell for hiding treasures, a combination of spatial and concealment magic.

Finney's spatial talent, enhanced by the Space Stone, was quite good; while his concealment skills were slightly weaker, with the guidance of the master Frigga, he quickly mastered the techniques.

So, he learned the spell in just a few hours.

Concealment is a small-scale spell. Initially, it was used specifically for carrying certain foods during wartime, but Frigga later modified it into the spell it is today, capable of storing items.

However, the storage space is very limited, at most for weapons and small items, and it cannot be stored for too long, otherwise there's a risk of loss.

Even so, Finney was still very happy.

He had been worried about how to take the Mind Staff out, and although he had thought of a solution, he hadn't had time to implement it due to being too busy.

Now, with the 'Breath of the White Dragon,' while carrying the staff every day looked cool, it was sometimes a little inconvenient.

After learning this spell, he no longer had to worry about how to carry his weapon.

  "Thank you so much!"

By the time he finished learning the spell, it was completely dark. Finney thanked Frigga earnestly. Although the spell wasn't very powerful, it was truly very useful to him.

"It's nothing. I didn't expect you to be so talented. Loki took two days to learn this!"

Frigga smiled gently, not minding, but a hint of sadness flashed across her face when she mentioned Loki.

Finney didn't know how to comfort her. In his heart, he felt that Asgard couldn't keep Loki imprisoned forever, even without the Dark Elves' attack.

Thinking of the Dark Elves that might appear in the future, Finney looked at Frigga again.

For the sake of this spell, Finney felt he should save her. Besides, he was determined to get the Reality Stone, and it was uncertain whether he could even get it into Thor's girlfriend's body.
