Although she wouldn't admit it, Morgan Joyce knew Nathan Redgrave must have been giving her a hard time again.

Morgan Joyce covered his bowl with his hand, looking exactly like he did as a child, jealously guarding his candy from Hannah Hale.
Inside the small, late-night restaurant, a few people who had just finished their night shifts trickled in to eat. Morgan Joyce and Hannah Hale kept their heads down as they ate, occasionally reminiscing about old times.
The glass windows were fogged up. Outside, the snow continued to fall with no sign of stopping.
