Nathan Redgrave repeated those words, his gaze darkening. He leaned over the coffee table, took a cigarette from the pack, and lit it. "So you were having dinner with another man late at night?"
"What do you mean by that?"
Nathan Redgrave had planned on explaining to Hannah Hale that there was nothing going on between him and Fiona Keating, but the sight of that scarf had inexplicably left a bad taste in his mouth.
Hannah Hale suddenly found it all so ironic. 'He was the one getting cozy with another woman, he was the one who wanted to sign some bullshit prenuptial agreement, and he was the one who didn't even like her...'
'All she did was have dinner with a friend, yet he made it sound like she'd committed some terrible crime against the Redgrave family.'
"If there's nothing else, I'm going to my room to rest."
Without sparing Nathan Redgrave a single glance, Hannah Hale grabbed her bag and went upstairs.
