Clara Grant's lip twitched. 'Does he mean he's going to call me that from now on?'
She wanted to tell him she'd never get used to it if he kept calling her that. But with his personality, complaining would only make him more smug. It was better to say nothing. Maybe he'd forget about it soon enough.
So, she dropped the subject. Frowning, she took a few large gulps of water, which finally soothed her mouth and stomach a little.
Seeing her frown, Seth Quinn assumed she was feeling terrible. Half-annoyed and half-amused, he said, "You can't even handle this, yet you dared to tell me to speed up! Do you have a death wish?"
When she'd told him to hurry, he figured her schedule was tight, so he'd unintentionally slipped into his street-racing speed.

'She had told him to drive faster, but she hadn't told him to drive like a complete maniac!'
