During Rorschach's "press conference," the effects of the great explosion dissipated. The rift still remained, its spatial fractures now even finer, but it was clear that the parts that had turned illusory were much quieter. No more active clusters of light or color could be seen within; the monsters from the other side had apparently been wiped out as well.
The Elder Council had arranged this "demonstration" both to remind all factions of the grave threat posed by the Mother Goddess and to showcase their own might. They trusted that all who had appreciated the "ultimate art" would now recognize the reality of the situation and cooperate fully with the Guild.
After Rorschach completed his task, it was time for the other Mages to begin their work.
Once again, a ring appeared in the sky, projecting a device to suppress the contamination.
