The only troubling issue was that these creatures, bearing the Mother Goddess's Protection, naturally possessed a corrupting ability. When they gathered in numbers reaching a critical threshold, they interfered with the communications between the Mechanical Bodies and their operators, causing delays and errors.
"Airships can carry relay stations to keep signal delays at an acceptable level, but those corrupt creatures also have aerial units, so escorts are necessary," Andre explained to the Sky Knights, outlining the significance of their next mission.
By comparison, performing surgical strikes on Pomerania's capital or acting as aerial welders had been relatively safe jobs. The enemy they now faced was far more threatening.
