Chapter 414 - Abyss of Despair

Upon his throne, King Pratesias's face covered in cold sweat. His grand robe flapped violently, pulled by the brutal suction of the gravitational anomaly created by the last Vedegra descendant in the middle of the room.

He quickly activated his earth element magic and forcefully fused both of his feet permanently with the palace's floor structure.

Stone and earth crept upward, locking his ankles to his calves like steel pegs driven deep into the ground, exerting all his strength solely to hold his ground and keep from being dragged away.

The slightest mistake would cause his body to be sucked into the black hole that continuously devoured everything indiscriminately.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Arvin's pair of blue eyes observed one of his opponents who could now only defend himself from being sucked into his darkness element magic.

Seeing that the Victoriaz King could no longer move, he felt it was time to end this increasingly boring fight.

There is no point in me wasting time lingering here. the blue-haired man thought to himself as he continued to parry Wiltan's attacks from various directions. Because after this business at the palace is finished, I also have to move quickly to attack and destroy the Flamort Kingdom and the Marland Kingdom, who have dared to join this ridiculous alliance.

While continuously swinging his sword with highly precise movements to block the Second Prince's sword slashes from multiple directions, Arvin began to change his strategy.

He then activated his wind element magic.

The wind magic he created blew incredibly softly, so gently that the breeze couldn't even move a single strand of his hair.

That thin and gentle breeze spread rapidly throughout the throne room, filling every remaining pocket of air, and transformed into an invisible radar net.

With this wind magic, Arvin could detect the slightest movement from all living beings around him. No matter how small the movement within the range of his wind magic, he could pinpoint their exact positions.

Now, the movements of his opponent, who constantly attacked from various directions, could be detected with ease. Arvin could also predict the exact spot where his enemy would teleport.

A second later, his wind radar caught a movement originating from his blind spot.

However, before the Second Prince could launch his attack, Arvin moved first.

Arvin pivoted his body, swung his sword straight ahead, and thrust the sharp blade right where the Prince appeared.

"Goodbye."

Zrash!

The sword pierced Wiltan's left chest, impaling the Second Prince's heart dead-on until the tip of the blade protruded from his back.

Fresh blood spurted out from the stab wound and stained the blade Arvin was gripping.

Wiltan's pupils trembled violently as he saw with his own eyes how a sword had pierced his chest.

From his slowly dimming gaze, Wiltan seemed unable to believe what had just happened. The speed he had always been so proud of was completely shattered by a single, precise slash that seemed to have predicted his movement.

With the sword penetrating his heart, Wiltan died instantly.

Watching from a distance as the sword pierced his brother's body, killing him right before his very eyes, King Pratesias's eyes trembled fiercely. He was in deep shock.

"WILTAAAANNN....!!!!"

The scream, laden with profound sorrow, burning rage, and shattered despair all mixed into one agonizing cry, broke out, echoing loudly throughout the throne room.

"Damn you, Vedegra!" the King cursed in a fury-filled tone. He glared at Arvin with deep-seated hatred. "If it weren't for that blasted black hole, I would definitely kill you here with my own bare hands!"

Paying no heed to the scream, Arvin yanked his sword back with a rough jerk, letting Wiltan's lifeless body stagger forward.

A split second before the body hit the floor, Arvin's left hand moved and touched the Prince's chest.

Crack!

Arvin froze Wiltan's body, turning it into a statue of ice.

Thud! Crash!

He kicked Wiltan's frozen body with immense force, shattering it into pieces right in front of his older brother, who could only stand frozen in silence, unable to do anything as his feet were locked to the floor.

After destroying the Second Prince's corpse, Arvin pivoted his body. He glared sharply at King Pratesias, who was still trying with all his might to hold his ground and avoid being sucked into the black hole.

"Why do you feel so angry when I take your brother's life?" Arvin asked in an incredibly blunt tone. "Didn't you also do the exact same thing to my people over there?"

"Shut up!" snapped King Pratesias with a loud voice. His rage toward the blue-haired man had reached its absolute peak. "Dispel that black hole! I swear I will kill you in the most agonizing way possible!"

Hearing the demanding shout from the King, who still acted arrogantly despite being cornered, Arvin smirked. An idea suddenly popped into his mind.

"You want me to do something about the black hole?" Arvin said in a chillingly low tone. "Very well."

Arvin raised his left hand forward and activated his magic.

And what happened next...

Exactly seventy centimeters above King Pratesias's head, space twisted and tore itself apart. From that tear, a new black hole emerged, smaller in size compared to the first one.

Because the distance was less than a meter above the King's head, the suction force of the second black hole felt incredibly strong. Everything beneath it, from the pillar debris and the throne's canopy fabric to the finest dust, instantly shot upward and was sucked away without a trace.

The pulling force of the black hole was terrifying. It tried to drag King Pratesias's body in, even though both of his feet were currently fused with the palace floor due to his earth magic.

He exerted all his strength solely to lock his body to the floor so he wouldn't be sucked upward and swallowed into eternal darkness.

The King desperately wanted to launch an attack at Arvin. However, the dual suction force of the two black holes, one from the front, and the other pulling from above his head, was so massive and unforgiving.

King Pratesias had no other choice but to remain perfectly still and dedicate one hundred percent of his focus just to keep himself anchored to the floor.

He was completely bound to his spot, turning into an easy target if Arvin decided to attack him.

Now, the supreme leader of the Victoriaz Kingdom was faced with a bottomless abyss of despair.
