Synopsis
I used to believe time would blur what happened between Chenhui and me. Two boys in the same classroom, drawn into something we never dared to name. But even now, ten years later, I still wonder what really happened that summer. Why does every smile still make me think of him? With Lee back in my life and winter closing in, I can't help but ask myself: is this what it means to grow up, carrying the past even as we try to move on? (My story is quite personal and mainly reflects my feelings towards my high school memories. So it may not be as exciting or fast-paced as many popular stories here. As the website said, the plot of my story is not engaging enough and difficult to follow, and the writing pace is too draggy, which I have to admit is true. So if you're looking for a story that constantly keeps your attention, mine might not be your cup of tea. But I still want to thank you for reading this far.)

Chapter 1 - Intro. – Winter

I think I had a long dream.

It's pouring. I'm standing on the last step in front of the main building of our high school, wearing my uniform. In the middle of the sports ground, Chenhui's standing all alone, smiling, with his head tilted. But the rain's so heavy that my vision's all blurred, and I can't tell if he's smiling at me. Even though I'm totally soaked, I don't feel cold at all.

I start shuffling toward him, begging him to look at me. But no matter how far I walk, he still seems so far away. Getting nervous, I walk faster and faster, then I start trotting, then I'm running, shouting at him, over and over, more and more hysterically, "Chenhui, look at me! Look at me!"

I take off my glasses and rub them hard, trying to wipe the water off. The moment I put them back on, I realize it's Lee, not Chenhui.
