Dylan and Arion looked at each other for a moment, then simultaneously formed a very sincere smile of relief in front of Arvin.
Arion took one small step closer to his husband. His pale light purple eyes stared intently into Arvin's eyes.
"My Star, may I ask one thing that I have wanted from you all this time?" asked Arion with a gentle tone filled with hope.
"Ask one thing?" repeated Arvin with his brow slightly furrowed in confusion, yet a faint smile still adorned his face. "What is it? Just tell me! If I can indeed fulfill it right now, I will definitely give it to you."
Hearing that absolute permission, Arion's courage peaked. Without hesitation, the youth closed the distance between them. He leaned his face closer, tilted his head slightly, and then...
Mwah!
Arion kissed Arvin's lips affectionately. He did it bravely right in front of Alrian, Dylan, and Davin who were still standing in the same room.
Realizing his lips were suddenly kissed by his ninth spouse, Arvin did not refuse. He instead closed his eyes slowly, accepting and returning that sweet kiss with a gentleness that made Arion's heart beat fast.
"I will patiently wait for the day you officially propose to me in the eyes of the Gods and give me that Life-and-Death contract, My Star." said Arion with a whispering voice after he released the lock of their lips, his face blushing red. "For now, I can only give this first kiss of mine as a sign of surrendering myself to you."
Seeing that unexpected romantic scene, the brownish-white-haired youth in the corner of the room pouted his lips.
"Hey, you are being very unfair, Arion!" chimed in Davin with an annoyed and sulky tone, his eyes staring in protest because he could not accept being preempted by a family member who had just joined. "I should have been the one to kiss our husband first here, because I am his eighth spouse! You stole my chance!"
Hearing that complaint, Arion turned his head and smiled teasingly. "Then, why didn't you just kiss him directly when you and he bound your souls together that time? As I recall, you only hugged him tightly instead of taking the initiative to kiss him."
Checkmate. Davin's face instantly turned red hearing that spot-on reply. Not wanting to be outdone again, he immediately stepped forward to approach Arvin. The youth stood slightly on his tiptoes to match his height with his husband's.
Mwah!
Once again, Arvin's lips were kissed with full affection. This time by Davin, the eighth spouse who gave the kiss slightly awkwardly yet filled with deep love.
"I have given my first kiss to you, My King." said Davin with a shy smile after releasing his kiss, his hands still holding the edge of Arvin's uniform. "Just like Arion, I am also waiting for you to officially propose and marry me in the eyes of the Gods later."
Arvin chuckled softly. He looked at Davin's and Arion's faces alternately with a very warm and affectionate gaze. He raised his hands, rubbing the tops of both cute youths' heads simultaneously.
"I will definitely keep my promise. However, after I finish my business with Kylen and Dylan first, only then will I immediately propose to both of you based on the proper order." replied Arvin giving absolute certainty so there would be no more jealousy among them. "Please be patient a little longer until that time comes."
Davin and Arion nodded in understanding simultaneously. The two of them did not mind at all and were willing to wait until that happy moment arrived.
"Alright, our business here is finished. Let's leave here immediately!" invited Arvin then, returning to his serious mode.
With orderly steps, they left the dormitory room.
However, while walking casually down the quiet dormitory hallway towards the exit, Arvin's brain started spinning again. Suddenly, he remembered Alvein's words some time ago about a magic tower that stored various kinds of ancient records there.
Arvin's mind immediately went to one very specific subject: the lifeless body of Orvion.
If one day I manage to find the right method to make and create a Morpher subordinate of my own, can I use Orvion's corpse as the vessel for the experiment? thought Arvin, his eyes narrowing in calculation.
Because that curiosity kept haunting his mind and without thinking any further, Arvin immediately made his decision.
"Davin, stop your steps for a moment!" called Arvin when they finally arrived at the fairly shady front yard of the Victoriaz academy dormitory.
Davin and the others turned their heads.
"Can I ask for your help to escort Allen, Alrian, Dylan, and Arion back to the temporary residence first after we leave this dormitory area?" requested Arvin with a calm tone.
"Of course I can. But, where are you going, My King?" asked Davin curiously, realizing his husband would not be going home with them.
"There is something I have to check and do for a moment inside this academy." answered Arvin mysteriously, not explaining his plan in detail.
Hearing the answer of his husband who had his own plans, Davin could only nod in agreement. He was always willing to carry out the order to escort them home safely using his dimensional magic.
Arvin lowered Allen's still unconscious body from his back carefully and then placed the body of his first spouse onto Dylan's back.
"Listen to me, Davin. When you activate your dimensional magic gate later, I will walk at the very front and pretend to enter it, then immediately use invisible magic on myself." said Arvin starting to explain his plan with a low voice so it wouldn't be heard by other students who might be passing by. "Once you feel me pat your shoulder from my invisible form, immediately close the gate after all of you enter."
Davin nodded again, understanding the camouflage scenario, and then extended one of his hands straight forward.
Instantly, a dimensional gate in the shape of a purplish-black oval vortex appeared floating in front of them.
Arvin began his plan. He walked forward first towards the dimensional vortex. Right when half of his body looked as if it entered the dimensional space from an outsider's perspective, Arvin immediately activated his invisible magic.
The blue-haired youth's body disappeared without a trace. To anyone watching from afar, Arvin looked like he had been completely swallowed and relocated through the gate.
But in reality, Arvin only stepped sideways, still standing in the dormitory yard.
Not long after, Davin felt a gentle touch on his left shoulder.
Understanding that it was a signal from his husband, Davin immediately turned his body and asked Alrian, Dylan who was carrying Allen, and Arion to walk into the dimensional space gate first.
"Guard Allen well and don't let anyone dare to approach him while he is unconscious." ordered Arvin, his voice heard whispering softly right in their ears from within his invisible mode.
Alrian, Dylan, and Arion gave small nods, signaling that they understood the absolute command while continuing to walk and step into the gate.
After Davin passed through it, the purplish-black dimensional gate shrank quickly and disappeared completely without a sound, leaving the dormitory yard which now only left empty air.
