Arvin took a deep breath, trying to maintain his composure and stringing together the right words so as not to make the situation even more complicated.
"The detailed explanation regarding the battlefield, the betrayal, and who Dalvanel is... I will tell the rest openly later when we have all gathered, including you." answered Arvin with a serious yet calming tone. He then looked straight into Elenora's eyes. "And regarding your brother, Savin... in the future that you saw, he was killed because of the absurd power implanted within him!"
"Absurd power?" repeated Elenora with a deeply furrowed brow, feeling increasingly confused. "What do you mean, Arvin? My little brother is a cute boy and doesn't possess great combat magic power."
"This is not about combat magic, but rather about the unique powers the two of you possess." explained Arvin slowly. "You possess the 'foresight' power, a vision magic that can catch a glimpse into the future like what you just experienced. Meanwhile your brother, Savin... he possesses the 'hindsight' power, a power that can see someone's past, even if that power is directed at a dead person!"
Hearing the secret fact that she didn't even know about her own brother, Elenora was shocked beyond belief. Her body froze.
And at that exact same moment, like pieces of a puzzle finally coming together, she remembered Arvin's words yesterday asking her to leave the Holy Galdius Kingdom and never return there again.
"So..." Elenora's voice trembled softly. "Is your main reason for asking me to defect, leave my kingdom, and come with you because you knew about my power and my brother's power? Because you knew we would be hunted?"
Arvin nodded without hesitation, confirming the woman's suspicion.
"You're right! My initial intention, later after all my affairs are finished and I officially propose to you, I might also propose to your brother then take the two of you out of that religious hell so you won't die tragically by those who are there."
Hearing the sincere confession aimed at saving both of their lives, a feeling of relief as well as emotion enveloped Elenora's heart. A heavy burden seemed to be lifted from her shoulders.
"Then," asked Elenora again, remembering another strange detail, "what about my appearance in that vision? Why was I in a man's body called by the name Gavin?"
"Ah, about that..." Arvin smiled faintly, feeling relieved that a part of his plan went smoothly in that alternative timeline. "...it seems in that future, Alrian successfully changed your form and gender into a man permanently using his unique magic. By changing identities to Gavin, they will no longer be able to track your traces."
Arvin stared at Elenora intently. "So, after knowing part of the truth, are you and your brother willing to trust me and live with our family?"
Without needing to think long or weigh things anymore, Elenora immediately nodded in agreement. She would do anything for the safety of her only brother.
However, the woman's facial expression hardened again, filled with the remnants of anger from her vision.
"I am willing. But, there is one absolute condition!" asserted Elenora with a very serious look in her eyes, pointing right at Arvin's chest. "You must never make Orvion, Lorvin, Hubert, and Robin as your spouses, whatever the reason! If it's true that my power can see the possibility of a bad future, it means it is certain that those four people are traitorous bastards!"
Hearing the emphasis from her mouth, Arvin smiled and nodded in understanding.
"Thank you very much for taking the trouble to warn me, Elenora. This is highly valuable information. I will immediately discuss and explain this to Alrain so he will dash his desire to make Orvion one of my spouses."
"That's good!" said Elenora, slightly relieved. Then she remembered one more name that was quite dominant in her dream. "And... what about Oliver? He was also on the battlefield. Who is he really?"
"If you mean that Oliver, he is the third prince of the Astoria Kingdom. What did you actually see about that person in your vision?" asked Arvin, slightly curious about the role of one of those romantic targets.
"He is your spouse! He stood on the front lines with you on the battlefield!" answered Elenora without hesitation, recalling the youth's face full of hatred. "In my vision, he was very vengeful and wanted to kill his own older brother, Dalvanel. He said Dalvanel had justified any means to seize the throne, including framing and killing their own father while on the way to the Marland Kingdom for a peaceful negotiation mission!"
Hearing that crucial information, Arvin calmly nodded in understanding. His brain reorganized all of his strategies again.
"I see. At least, from your vision, I can confirm one important thing that Oliver will definitely take my side entirely."
His nature and character turn out to be indeed very detailed and exactly match what I remember from the game! Arvin thought very enthusiastically, hiding his smile of satisfaction. If Oliver's heart is successfully conquered, his loyalty level will be on par with Alrain, absolute and entirely unshakable. I must immediately discuss this matter with Alrain so he can accept the fact that Oliver, who is a member of the royal family he hates, deserves to be my spouse too.
Arvin looked at the golden-haired woman with a gentle gaze.
"Once again, thank you very much for this valuable information of yours... Gavin." said Arvin, intentionally using that name from the future.
Instantly, Elenora was startled in shock hearing the masculine nickname coming out of Arvin's lips. Yet strangely, there was a warm feeling spreading through her chest. She smiled a little and did not reject it at all.
"I am relieved because I have said all the burdens on my mind that I wanted to say to you!" said Elenora, feeling much calmer now.
She then turned her head, staring sharply at Kylen's face who had been standing silently listening to their secret conversation all along without interrupting the slightest bit.
"And you, Arrogant Prince!" pointed Elenora right at Kylen's face. "You heard our conversation yourself, right? Don't you dare say anything about my secret and my brother's to anyone! If this information leaks and my brother is in danger because of your big mouth, I myself will find and kill you without mercy!"
Hearing the groundless accusation and death threat hurled directly at him, Kylen felt very unaccepting, his pride wounded.
"Huh?! What did you just say, chatty woman?!" exclaimed Kylen angrily, his eyes glaring. "Why would I waste my time doing such a lowly thing, idiot?! Listen to me carefully! If that bad thing ever happened to your brother, my husband would definitely feel sad, and all the grand plans he has painstakingly arranged would definitely fall apart and fail! I will never let my husband's plans be ruined! Do you not have a brain, you foolish woman?!"
"How dare you call me foolish! I think your blunt habit is truly an unstoppable dirty mouth disease." replied Elenora no less fiercely, stepping forward.
"What did you say? Disease?!" exclaimed Kylen even more unaccepting, his mana aura beginning to churn unstably. "Do you really want to feel the sensation of your skin blistering and melting right here, right now? Come forward, you foolish woman! Let me melt that big mouth of yours!"
Seeing the bickering getting more heated and almost leading to a magical brawl in the middle of the square, Arvin could only sigh in resignation.
He stepped between them and directly held both of their shoulders with a gentle yet firm touch, stopping their movements instantly.
"That's enough arguing. Come on, let's go back inside the academy area now!" invited Arvin with a very calm and soothing tone, trying to ease the tension between the two. "After this tournament is over, there are still many things and important plans that we must immediately arrange and do together."
Hearing the words and feeling the gentle touch of the blue-haired youth, Kylen and Elenora's hostile aura slowly subsided. The two of them snorted softly, yet still nodded obediently to his instruction. Arvin's invitation had successfully calmed their emotions down again.
With steps that were once again in sync, the three of them walked side by side across the square, heading back to the special participant stands to return to the remaining unfinished tournament matches.
