Chapter 240 - A Sanity-Threatening Vision

Arvin turned his body for a moment. The battlefield wind blew his blue hair. He looked at the faces of all his spouses, including Elenora who was inside Gavin's body, one by one with a loving gaze that contrasted with the atmosphere of warfare.

"Thank you because all of you have faithfully stayed by my side up to this moment." said Arvin sincerely. He then turned back to face the sea of enemies, raising his hand high. "Now... let's destroy all our enemies without a trace!"

"Yes!!!" they all answered in unison with a booming voice, including Elenora who unconsciously joined in shouting carried away by the atmosphere, even though she was still confused about what was really happening in this timeline.

"All troops!" commanded Arvin loudly until it spread behind him. "Let's destroy all enemies and spread into the attack formation that Lorrin has explained to you!"

"Yes, My Lord!" answered tens of thousands of soldiers behind them loudly and full of fighting spirit.

And in the next second, they all ran charging forward, attacking the charging enemy troops like two tsunami waves crashing into each other.

The clash of weapons, magic explosions, and splatters of blood instantly filled Elenora's vision before a massive magic explosion hit right in front of her face.

"Haaaaahhhhhhhh...!!!!!"

The sound of an extremely greedy and strong intake of breath was heard breaking the silence of the room.

Elenora opened her eyes wide and immediately woke up from her lying position. She sat up panting, her chest heaving roughly. Cold sweat poured down soaking her forehead, neck, and body.

She looked around in a panic. There was no smell of blood, no sea of soldiers, and no sound of war screams. She was currently on a white bed inside the quiet and deserted medical care room of the academy.

What just happened? Elenora thought while holding her pounding chest. What dream was that? Why was there such a terrifying war?

The fragments of memories from the dream kept spinning in her head very clearly, like a future memory forcefully inserted into her brain. She remembered the foreign names, the betrayal of Arvin's four spouses, and their suffering.

Then, her eyes widened as she remembered the purple-haired youth's words and also Alrain talking about her brother's tragic fate.

My brother... Savin... Elenora gripped her blanket tightly. My little brother was killed barbarically? What actually happened in that dream?

Without thinking further, Elenora immediately jumped down from the medical bed in a hurry. Her mind was in complete disarray. She ran to find and approach Arvin Vedegra.

That blue-haired youth was the only key who might be able to give her the absolute answer to the nightmare threatening her sanity.

In the special participant stands area, Kylen was sitting very comfortably on Arvin's lap. He leaned his body back, closing his eyes while enjoying the gentle caress of his husband's hand on his back.

The atmosphere around them seemed lively with the cheers of the spectators watching the match in the arena. But for Kylen, the world only centered on the warmth of the blue-haired youth's body.

That peace suddenly shattered into pieces when Elenora ran up the stands' stairs with hurried breaths. Her uniform was still slightly wet from cold sweat, and her facial expression looked very pale yet filled with desperation.

Ignoring the strange stares from the other participants, the princess of the Holy Kingdom of Galdius directly approached Arvin and Kylen's seats.

"Arvin, come with me right now!" requested Elenora with a slightly trembling tone of voice but possessing a very serious and demanding gaze. "There is a very important matter that I must discuss with you privately!"

Hearing the voice ruining his intimate moment, Kylen slowly opened his eyes.

The bluish-white-haired youth immediately furrowed his brow, feeling very annoyed by the woman's impudence. He turned his head and stared sharply at Elenora.

"Are your eyes already blind? Can't you see that I am currently sitting on my husband's lap?" asserted Kylen with a curt and unfriendly tone. "Earlier you said you only wanted to see from up close, now you dare to tell him to go? You intentionally want to provoke my anger, don't you?"

However, Elenora did not care at all about the threat from the Prince of the Flamort Kingdom. Her panic over her little brother's fate was far greater than her fear of Kylen's corrosive magic.

Without asking for permission, the golden-haired woman reached out both her hands and directly pulled Arvin's arm strongly.

"I beg you, Arvin, come with me even if it's only for a moment!" urged Elenora, ignoring the grumbles of protest Kylen directed at her.

Seeing Elenora's pale facial expression and hands that felt cold, Arvin realized that there was something extremely urgent that had triggered the woman's fear.

Arvin placed his hand on Kylen's head and stroked his hair very gently to soothe the emotions of his sixth spouse.

"I'm sorry, Kylen. Can you get off my lap for a moment?" asked Arvin gently, looking into his spouse's eyes, expecting his understanding. "Seeing from her panic, it seems there really is a very emergent and important matter she wants to convey to me."

Even though his heart felt very reluctant and disappointed because his pampering moment had to be cut short, Kylen could not argue with his husband's gentle tone. The bluish-white-haired youth let out a rough sigh, then obediently complied in resignation and slid off his lap.

"Alright." grumbled Kylen. "But, I have to come with you! I won't let this woman be alone with you and steal an opportunity!"

Arvin nodded in agreement, not minding Kylen's presence. "Let's go to a quieter place."

The three of them immediately got up from their seats, walked side by side down the special participant stands, and exited the stadium area towards the academy square which was quite deserted because most of the students were focusing on watching the tournament.

Upon arriving at a corner of the square that was far from the crowd and obstructed by shady trees, Arvin turned his body around.

"Tell me, Elenora. What exactly made you so panicked?" he asked calmly.

With breaths that were still slightly panting, Elenora did not hold anything back anymore. She immediately explained every terrifying detail she had just experienced in her unconsciousness in the medical room.

She started telling about the flashes of the destroyed battlefield, herself suddenly being in a man's body and being called by the name Gavin, the identities of four traitors named Orvion, Lorvin, Hubert, and Robin. She told about the massacre, about the past life memories of someone named Dalvanel, and what devastated her the most... about her little brother's barbaric death.

Hearing all the details spoken by the woman, Arvin's eyes widened slightly, shocked beyond belief.

Did she just get a future vision that was supposed to be the destruction route if I didn't intervene with the original plot? thought Arvin, his brain working at full speed to assemble the facts. Her foresight power awakened faster than I expected!

Seeing the youth's silence, Elenora gripped her academy uniform. "Please tell me, Arvin! What is the meaning of all those dreams? Why must my brother be killed?!"
