Chapter 165 - A Delicious First and Delusional NPCs

The bright midday sun accompanied their journey along the capital streets toward the academy. The friendly weather provided a warm nuance that harmonized with the light conversation flowing among them.

"Hey Alvein, what did you feel after you eat human food for the first time during breakfast earlier?" Allen asked, glancing at the silver-haired youth beside him. He was truly curious about the reaction of the creature who had lived for thousands of years upon tasting the texture of solid food.

"Very delicious!" Alvein praised honestly, his eyes sparkling remembering the taste of Allen's cooking this morning. "For thousands of years, this is the first time I can taste what humans have been consuming all this time. It feels very filling. It seems I should start getting used to it so I don't always rely on absorbing energy. Hehehe."

"It is good if you like it!" Alrain chimed in with a determined smile. "But remember, we must not let our guard down. You and I must learn to cook as seriously as possible from the two of them. We must be able to become the ideal spouses for our husband!"

"Of course, Alrain!" Alvein replied no less enthusiastically. He clenched his hand in front of his chest as if making an oath of loyalty. "I don't want to be left behind by the two of them. I am sure, if we learn together, we will definitely become skilled in a short time!"

Ordion, who was walking on the other side and heard their ambition, chuckled softly.

"Do not rush too much until it stresses you out. The two of us will always train you until you can master the basic cooking techniques well."

That light conversation occurring among them continued to accompany the steps of the five of them until they finally arrived at the academy. Arvin directly led the way to Dean Saires's office to register Alvein as an academy student like them.

When they were in Dean Saires's room, the Dean was quite surprised to know that there was another new student registering, considering Alrain had also just become a new student in the middle of this semester. Moreover, the middle-aged man did not expect to find out that the silver-haired student was the fourth spouse of an Arvin Vedegra.

Without overthinking and asking many questions, the Dean immediately processed all his registration documents professionally. Arvin, acting as the head of the family, stepped forward to sign the files and officially became the legal guardian for Alvein.

After finishing registering and taking care of all administrative matters, the five of them expressed their gratitude and immediately stepped out of Dean Saires's office.

However, after walking a few meters, Arvin suddenly stopped his footsteps.

Seeing the head of the family stop, Arvin's four spouses automatically also stopped their footsteps and turned to look at him.

"My Love, why did you suddenly stop?" Alrain asked in wonder. "Is there something left behind in the dean's room?"

"The four of you go home first to the mansion!" Arvin suddenly said, giving an instruction. "I want to go to the dormitory area using invisible magic to monitor and find out the daily lives of all the students there directly."

That sudden plan made his four spouses quite surprised. However, they nodded obediently and did not want to hinder their husband's plan.

"Alright, the four of us will return home first!" Allen decided, taking over to represent all his husband's spouses. "But before afternoon arrives, you must be back. Remember, you promised to teach us magic today, right?"

"Yes, Allen, I still remember that promise." Arvin answered quickly, without any hesitation in his tone of voice. "I will return to the mansion before the afternoon approaches. But if I am a bit late, ask Alrain to teach you the basics of mana control first."

"Okay!" Allen replied enthusiastically. Then, he turned to look at the second spouse. "Are you willing to teach us if our husband arrives late later?"

"I am willing!" Alrain answered firmly. "I also want you to be able to become stronger to support our husband. Especially you, Ordion!"

"Of course I agree!" Ordion replied quickly, his facial expression turning serious. "I really want to become even stronger so I can protect all of you and feel worthy of standing by our husband's side with pride."

"I'm in too!" Alvein chimed in, not wanting to be left behind. "Hopefully I can grow stronger so I can protect him!"

The dedicated answers coming from Ordion's and Alvein's mouths made Alrain even more excited to train them.

"Good! In that case, let's go home now and train immediately!" Alrain invited.

"Yes!" the three of them answered in unison.

After bidding an affectionate farewell to the head of the family, the four youths turned around and walked back toward the academy gates to return home with spirited steps.

Seeing his four spouses so enthusiastic to train, Arvin could only smile faintly while shaking his head watching their departure, feeling endeared by their spirit.

After they disappeared from sight, Arvin immediately focused his mind. He channeled his energy and activated the invisible magic.

Instantly, his presence disappeared completely. There was no trace of magic left behind, no mana exuding, and no physical form visible to the naked eye.

With calm steps, he walked toward the academy dormitory complex to see the daily lives of all the students living there.

Upon arriving at the park area near the dormitory building, the atmosphere felt very lively. There were so many academy students gathered on park benches or under the trees, casually chatting with their friends. The sounds of laughter and light chatter continued to be heard, just like the typical activities of youths during break time.

Not a single one of them realized the presence of the King of Terror who was currently around them.

Arvin kept walking and accidentally overheard the conversation of two students sitting on a long bench.

"Hey, what if Arvin suddenly proposed to you?" asked a second-year student to his friend. "Your face is quite handsome, you know."

Spontaneously, Arvin stopped his footsteps right near them, feeling curious about the continuation of that conversation.

"Of course I would feel very happy!" the other student answered with a hopeful tone. "If he ended up proposing to me, the hidden power I possess would definitely awaken instantly without the need to accept his love, right?"

"Hahaha." The second-year student laughed in confirmation. "You are right! There are many students in this academy who are secretly waiting to be proposed to by that madman. They all hope to awaken their hidden powers instantly like what happened to that Class 1-C student back then."

Arvin was quite surprised after hearing the absurd rumor about himself circulating after the proposal incident in Class 1-C the other day, ignoring the fact that he had just been called a 'madman' by that student.

What are they actually thinking about me? Arvin thought in confusion. He truly never expected that there were actually many academy students who precisely hoped to be proposed to by him. Do they think Ordion's magic power suddenly appeared because of the effect of my proposal?

They are completely insane! he cursed in his heart, unable to comprehend the logic of the NPCs near him. Do they have such shallow thinking just for the sake of gaining power instantly? Idiots!

"Then, if your power truly awakens, what will you do afterward?" the second-year student asked again, still continuing his fantasy.

"Of course I want to challenge that Class 1-C student in an official duel to test my strength!" answered the student he was talking to with an arrogant tone. "If he loses, I can confidently challenge Arvin and take over his title to become the next King of Terror. Hahaha."

The conversation filled with absurd delusions almost made Arvin snort a laugh. Not because he felt threatened by the ridiculous challenge, but because of the stupid rumor that, unbeknownst to him, had actually been circulating freely throughout the entire academy.

And then, Arvin turned around, leaving the two students who were still busy daydreaming, and resumed his footsteps back toward the entrance of the dormitory building, intending to find out further about how bad the rumor was inside there.
