Chapter 157 - Like Husband, Like Spouse: The Invisible

The question that sounded very serious early in the morning made Alvein tilt his head. His facial expression turned curious. He stared intently at his husband's pair of blue eyes who was currently still lying beneath him.

"What is the important thing you want to discuss with me this early in the morning, Honey?"

"Do you want to enroll as a student at the magic academy like the four of us too?" Arvin offered to the point. "I want you to get a proper education so you can know many things about this new world of yours. I don't want my spouse to become a fool who knows nothing about your new world right now."

Alvein's eyes widened slightly hearing the offer. "Academy? Does that mean I can always be with you and the three of them every day?"

"Of course, Alvein. You can learn, interact, and spend time with us." Arvin answered with a faint smile. "So, are you interested? If you are interested, I will immediately take care of all the registration files and your fake identity today."

Without needing to think twice or weigh it anymore, Alvein immediately nodded in agreement very enthusiastically. Being by his husband's side was his main goal.

Arvin let out a sigh of relief because Alvein agreed to blend in and become an academy student just like them.

However, in the midst of Arvin's relief, Alvein suddenly changed the topic of conversation.

"Honey, aren't you the least bit curious about these wings of mine?" Alvein asked. He felt puzzled and slightly dissatisfied because since last night, his husband had not once tried to truly hold or explore the wings on his back directly and only touched them while soaping them.

"It would be a lie if I didn't want to touch them directly." Arvin answered honestly, his gaze shifting to the transparent wings that occasionally vibrated. "But, I assumed that a fairy's wings are something very sensitive. That's why I didn't dare to—"

Alvein didn't let his husband finish speaking. He immediately placed his index finger right over Arvin's lips to silence him.

Without further ado, Alvein grabbed his husband's right hand. He pulled that hand and placed it directly onto the surface of one of his transparent wings.

"Hold and feel these wings of mine directly!" Alvein protested in a spoiled tone. "You, who made love to me passionately last night, actually don't dare to hold my wings just because of fear? These wings of mine are not that fragile and sensitive. Just touch them as you please!"

Hearing the adorable scolding and not wanting to make his spouse pout in the morning, Arvin obliged. He began to touch and gently stroke the surface of the transparent wing using his thumb.

So, is this what it feels like to hold the real wings of a fairy? Arvin thought in amazement, feeling the texture on his fingertips. The material is very thin yet very strong. It feels like I'm stroking a giant-sized dragonfly's wings.

A pleasant feeling of comfort was being felt by the silver-haired fairy as his husband's warm fingers caressed his wings with a regular rhythm.

Right at that moment, a movement emerged from the other side of the bed.

Allen slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw upon waking up was the sight of Alvein sitting astride Arvin's stomach, who was stroking his wings.

He smiled seeing their behavior in the morning, then crawled closer.

Mwah!

A light morning kiss landed on his husband's left cheek.

"Good morning, My Husband. Good morning to you too, Alvein." Allen greeted with his gentle and friendly voice.

"Good morning to you too, Allen." Arvin replied gently, his hand still stroking Alvein's wings.

Alvein turned his head, looking at the first spouse's face which looked very fresh. "Good morning, Allen."

"Since I am already awake, I will go to the kitchen and cook breakfast for all of us!" Allen said while beginning to throw off the blanket and getting off the bed. "You two hurry up and get ready so we can have breakfast together at the dining table later."

"Allen, wait!" Alvein interjected quickly, stopping the first spouse's steps. "I don't need to eat human food like you guys. I just need to absorb mana from our husband's body to survive. Besides, if I eat that solid food, I'm not sure my body organs can digest it like you guys do."

Hearing that excuse, Allen rolled his eyes and placed both hands on his hips.

"You have a hole, right?" Allen asked rhetorically.

Alvein nodded innocently. "Of course I have one! If I didn't have one, how could I make love with our husband last night?"

"See?! If you have a hole to be penetrated, biologically it means you also have a stomach and intestines inside your belly, you fool!" Allen stated firmly, not wanting to hear any refusal or illogical excuse from his husband's fourth spouse. "Anyway, starting this morning you must join breakfast at the dining table. Stop considering yourself a magic entity and just act like a normal living being in general!"

The decisive and logical answer coming from the first spouse's mouth successfully made Alvein gape. For the second time since last night, he was forcefully asked to act like a normal living being.

Alvein slowly turned his head down, looking at his husband's face who was holding back a laugh. "Honey, this first spouse of yours indeed has the exact same forceful nature as you, huh?"

Arvin could no longer hold himself back. He chuckled softly hearing Alvein's words which accurately compared his dominant nature with Allen's.

"Hahaha. Don't be surprised, Alvein. The three of them indeed have their own personalities and ways of caring." Arvin said reassuringly. "You will soon understand their good intentions after getting to know them better."

Hearing his husband's explanation, Alvein again looked at Allen's face, who was still standing there waiting for him with a demanding gaze.

"Okay, okay, I understand. I will try eating human food today." Alvein finally conceded. "But in exchange, please let me join you in the kitchen. I want to learn how to cook from you."

"A very good choice!" Allen answered enthusiastically, a satisfied smile blooming on his face again.

Alvein then slid down from his husband's body and stood up beside the bed. Meanwhile, Allen stepped to the other side of the bed and began shaking Alrain's and Ordion's bodies to wake them up.

It only took a few shakes, and Alrain and Ordion woke up.

Once awake, the two of them immediately crawled towards Arvin, kissed their husband's cheeks interchangeably, and greeted him cheerfully.

"Good morning, My Love / My Dear!" greeted Alrain and Ordion in unison.

"Good morning to the two of you as well." Arvin greeted back with a gentle voice.

Seeing what the three of them did in the morning after waking up, Alvein, who was the fourth spouse, also did not want to be left behind. He leaned down towards Arvin and followed what his seniors had just done.

Mwah!

Alvein gently kissed his husband's right cheek. "I'm going first, Honey. I will join them to learn cooking in the kitchen."

"Yes, go ahead. Happy cooking to you and also the three of you." Arvin replied while sitting up on the bed.

The four of them then immediately turned around and walked out of the room together. However, right before stepping past the doorway, Alvein suddenly stopped his steps and turned his head back to look at Arvin.

"Oh right, Honey, I almost forgot to tell you one thing." Alvein said casually. "Because you are now my master and we also exchanged saliva when binding the superior-subordinate contract at that place, now you can use my special ability."

Alvein winked one eye. "If you want to use the 'invisible' magic, you just need to focus and imagine your body blending with the air around you until you are unseen."

Arvin's eyes widened slightly hearing the sudden information. "Okay... thank you very much for the explanation, Alvein."

The silver-haired fairy nodded in satisfaction, then resumed his steps to catch up with Allen, Alrain, and Ordion who had already walked towards the kitchen on the first floor.

After the departure of his four spouses, the bedroom became quiet again. Arvin, who was still sitting on the bed, could only shake his head. He truly never expected that he would be able to master Alvein's unique ability.

It seems this new ability will be quite good and very useful for spying on my enemies' movements secretly. Arvin thought in his heart, beginning to analyze the potential of his new power with great enthusiasm. And most importantly, I can use this magic to eavesdrop and find out the true intentions of all the romantic target characters in this world.

Arvin's brain as a former game player began spinning to plan strategies.

Especially if in the future I want a spouse from an NPC. This 'invisible' power will be very useful so I can monitor and find out their true intentions secretly when they try to approach me.

With his firm resolve and peaking curiosity, Arvin immediately adjusted his sitting position on the bed, crossing his legs to sit cross-legged.

He closed his eyes, regulated his breathing rhythm, and began focusing the flow of his mana to the entire surface of his skin, trying to practice Alvein's instruction to be able to blend with the air and master the 'invisible' magic, his fourth spouse's special ability.
