There on my window, blood was sketched at the edge with a white paper tucked there.
I felt chills surge through my whole body as goosebumps rose on my skin.
With trembling feet and an unstable heart beat, I walked towards the window and picked up the paper.
The smell of blood made me gulp my breath, dropped the paper and ran to the toilet to puke.
The smell of the blood was really bad, I couldn't help but gag involuntarily.
Going back to the window, I picked up the paper again and looked through it.
Nothing was written there, I nearly threw it away when something caught my eye.
On the edge of the paper, with a really small writing, glancing at it closely I finally saw the wordings.

I wanted to scream but couldn't, already feeling dizzy, I went straight to bed.

"Ma'am, we need a clear run through of everything that happened." The officer ordered.
I gave him a run through of everything that had happened as Honey comforted me, rubbing my back.
When I finished, the officer glanced at her partner and ordered him to check my room.
"Ma'am you have to see this." He came out of my room not quite long after we spoke.
We immediately followed behind, and the blood stains at the window were still there with the paper.
Honey couldn't believe her eyes as we walked into my room.
She cradled Moonie against her chest more, giving me a glance as if saying
'What the hell happened?'
The officer crouched down and picked it up, going through what was written, she called her partner and handed it over to him who put it in a transparent white bag.

"Ma'am, we'd advise you to be really careful around your environment and stay safe. Don't ever hesitate to call us again if something like this happens next time." The police officer advised as we both nodded.
The officer checked around the room one more time before leaving.
"My goodness Kira, wh.. what was that?"
Honey asked with concern.
Actually, I didn't even call Honey immediately after seeing that incident.
My first thought was the police, I was scared that the intruder might still be hovering around.
Only called her when the police arrived and she was fast enough to reach here before the questioning.
"Honestly, I don't know. I just…
"My goodness..I wish I was here with you at least you wouldn't have been all alone."
She hugged me.
"What we need to do is to leave this place as soon as possible." She advised, holding my arm and taking me to my room.
I stayed silent as I watched her put my stuff in a box, rambling on how the intruder might actually barge in next time or do something worse.
Moonie was just relaxed in my bed playing with her paw.
Reaching forward, I gently tapped Honey at her arm and said,
"No need for all of these, I can't leave here."
As those words left my mouth, she paused and slowly stopped what she was doing.
"What do you mean Kira?" She asked with a slight tremble in her voice.
I felt my heart clenched at that.
"I meant what I said." My voice stoic, I repeated.
Honey stared at me for a while, blinking a few times and asked
"Why the sudden change in you Kira? I came here to comfort and help you. Now you don't need this. Someone is freaking trying to get you or worse have you dead, yet instead of finding a way to escape, you want to keep still in the same spot where they are likely able to get to you. Are you out of your mind?!"
She screeched and walked towards me, grabbing my arms.
I couldn't even look her in the eye.
"Kira, you are in danger! This place is not safe at this point and we don't even know who the mastermind behind all this is, yet you want to stay back. For what again?!"
Releasing me, she held herself together.
I heard sniffles and immediately turned towards her.
Honey was actually crying.
I felt so bad and tried to get closer to her to offer comfort.
"Don't touch me!" She smacked my arms away.
"You are my only friend, I don't understand why you just want to let yourself get killed. You are so selfish for trying to take yourself away. What about me?!"
"Stop it!" I shouted.
"I'm not trying to be selfish here. It's pointless for me to run away again."
Memories of the time I was attacked at the mall, the time when someone tried to break into my apartment and the elevator scenes flashed before me.
It's already pointless since the person knows my every move already.
Those incidents were never a coincidence, they were planned.
"What do you mean?"
She calmed down and asked.
"We have a lot to talk about."
I said as we sat on my bed.

I told her about the elevator incident and nothing more.
She just stared at me.
"Aren't you going to say something?" I asked as I feared her silence might be something deeper.
She just shook her head, not uttering a word.
Okay now everything seemed off in the atmosphere.
"Please say something." I shook her body.
"What do you want me to say? If I suggest you leave or report to the police, you would literally be against it. I don't know Kira?...and for the fact you didn't tell me all this earlier…I..I'm actually disappointed that you couldn't even share your own struggles with me." She bursted out, detaching my hands from her shoulder.
I felt guilty and knew I deserved it.
"I'm sorry." I apologized.
"Like I literally share my problems with you, why can't you do the same. Don't you trust me that much or you think I can't be able to help you? Girl you are literally being stalked right now! Had it been you told me this, I could have..I don't know maybe found something." She grabbed my hands softly and spoke.
"Please kira, we need to leave here."
I didn't have the mind to leave here right now, but I didn't know what to say.
"If you don't leave here, then I'll cut our friendship. Decide now." She spoke with finality after seeing my hesitation.
My eyes widened as I could not believe she would say something like this.
"Why…why would you say that?" I asked
She let my hand go and stood up.
"It's up to you now. Leave or stay back here and watch our friendship end."
