Chapter 178 - Chapter 179: I am the First Emperor, Send Money!

Ryu looked at Roy with sheer amazement. He actually possessed intel on the Daedalus Labyrinth, the Ikelos Familia, and even the Thanatos Familia. She didn't doubt him for a second; Roy had already proven he knew everything down to the details of the "Juggernaut." She truly wondered where his terrifying information network came from.

"Alright," Ryu said seriously. "I will scout the middle floors for you. But I have one condition!"

"Name it," Roy said.

Ryu stared him down with absolute gravity. "Stay here and recover. You are not to leave this bed by even a single step!"

Roy gave a bitter laugh. "In my current state, where exactly do you think I could go? I promise."

Satisfied, Ryu left the room to prep her gear. She planned to hide her identity and head into the Dungeon to track the Labyrinth. Meanwhile, Roy lay back. To conquer the Labyrinth, one usually needed a key—the "Eye of Daedalus"—but there was a backdoor. Barca, unlike Dix, was fully consumed by the ancestral curse and was still deep underground engaged in construction.

By using the Earth Magic Sword to tear through the terrain and find the active construction site before it was sealed by Orichalcum walls, they could break in. Once inside the Labyrinth, things would get interesting. Roy sneered internally.

"Cough! Cough!"

The pain flared as he coughed. He was stuck as a mummy for now, but he still had his "tools." He activated Divine Descent. Checking in on Natsuki Subaru, he saw the boy was busy dealing with the mabeasts near the Roswaal Mansion. Roy withdrew his gaze. The rewards for Level 2-tier mabeasts were too small to be worth his direct intervention.

He quickly selected a new world: Fate/Zero.

[Please choose your Hero!] Artoria, Kiritsugu Emiya, Irisviel, Gilgamesh, Tokiomi Tohsaka, Kirei Kotomine, Kayneth, Kariya Matou...

Roy scanned the list. He immediately ruled out Heroic Spirits; those ancient legends were in their "rebellious phase" and wouldn't take kindly to his control. Moreover, the "Divine Descent" rewards were based on the combined strength of him and the target. Choosing Artoria (Level 5 tier) meant he wouldn't get rewards for killing anything below that level.

The best choice was a Master—someone weaker than him who came with a servant "bodyguard."

Tokiomi Tohsaka? Too cowardly. Kirei Kotomine? A joy-seeking freak. Kariya Matou? Only cares about revenge. Kayneth? Obsessed with his fiancée. Waver? A total rookie.

Roy's gaze landed on Kiritsugu Emiya. Decisive, efficient, and cold. He was exactly Roy's style.

[Divine Descent Target Selected: Kiritsugu Emiya!]

Fuyuki City, The Docks.

Artoria and Diarmuid were engaged in a chivalrous duel. Weapons clashed, sending sparks into the silent night sky. Various factions watched from the shadows, waiting for the victors to exhaust themselves. This was the Holy Grail War—seven Masters, seven Servants, and one omnipotent wish-granting machine.

Kiritsugu lay atop a warehouse, searching through his sniper scope for hidden enemies.

"Hello. I am a Demon God from Hell. Slain by a hero a thousand years ago, my soul escaped while his guard was down. Now, I only need the souls of six Masters and Servants to assist in my resurrection. In return, I shall grant your every wish!"

A weak, ancient voice echoed in Kiritsugu's mind. He froze, then whispered into his comms, "Maiya, I'm under some kind of magecraft. Someone is monitoring me. Find them."

In another world, Roy gave a mental thumbs-up to this "Magus Killer." Steady as a rock! Not as easy to trick as Subaru, but no matter how clever you are, you're still drinking my bathwater! Good luck trying to find me across dimensions.

"Such a cautious brat," Roy's voice rang out again. "I was born of chaos. A single glance tells me the past, present, and future. Do I need to lie to a child like you?"

Kiritsugu remained unmoved. Roy watched through his eyes as Artoria's arm was wounded by the Gáe Buidhe.

"Fine then. I shall demonstrate my sight. In ten seconds, Rider will descend in his chariot to stop the fight."

Kiritsugu didn't believe it. Why would anyone jump in now? The logical move was to wait for both sides to be crippled.

BOOM!

Thunder crashed. "Lalalalala!" With a mighty roar, Iskandar drove his chariot between Artoria and Diarmuid.

"Put away your blades! One must not be rude in the presence of a King! I am Iskandar, the King of Conquerors!"

Kiritsugu's eyes widened. It wasn't just Rider's recklessness that shocked him—it was the "Demon God" in his head. The prophecy was terrifyingly accurate.
