Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: "The First Challenge Overcome"

Asanali pulled out a strange liquid injection and proudly showed it to Aibar with a slight grin.

"Do you know how I gained my power? I obtained this monstrous strength after taking this injection. Hm… however, you can only take it once. Taking it a second time has a very high chance of death. And if you somehow survive the second dose… you gain terrifying power. But whether I could survive a second injection or not… even I don't know. Still, after destroying the school, I brought this with me to stand against the armies of the entire world. To take the risk…"

He put the injection back into his pocket.

Aibar moved, grabbing the giant sword he had been leaning on and lifting it effortlessly with one hand before launching another counterattack.

Like he was running on invisible stairs, Aibar leapt higher and higher through the air, almost as if he were flying, closing in on Asanali. Whenever exhaustion hit him, he briefly landed to catch his breath for a second before launching himself upward again, attacking nonstop.

However, Aibar's attacks were still weak.

Asanali finally began moving seriously as well. With one heavy strike, he smashed Aibar into the ground. The concrete cracked beneath him as Aibar started weakening rapidly.

Asanali descended toward him at incredible speed and began mercilessly beating him, not even allowing him to stand back up.

Aibar was on the verge of death.

Yet even while lying on the ground, Aibar suddenly kicked off like a spring, sliding away and instantly getting back on his feet.

Asanali stood up too.

The two faced each other.

Aibar slowly opened his fist… revealing the injection Asanali had proudly shown earlier.

He had stolen it.

With an emotionless face and calm voice, Aibar said:

"Fool… you gave me the information yourself."

Then he injected the serum into his own right arm.

Asanali immediately became furious.

The moment the injection entered Aibar's body, he collapsed unconscious.

Asanali burst into laughter.

"Hahaha… actually, you're the fool. Would anyone trust their enemy that much? I intentionally left out one important detail… after taking the injection, you remain unconscious for an entire day before the power fully settles into your body. Did you really think I'd let you steal it so easily? Hahaha… this was my plan from the start. I knew you would try to take it."

He grinned coldly.

"Now killing you will be easy… and after that, I'll destroy the school. And in the end—"

He stopped mid-sentence, slightly startled.

Then his face twisted into a wide smile as he laughed loudly.

"Hahahaha… after the school, the entire world will be beneath my feet. The organization will be pleased."

He slowly approached Aibar.

Meanwhile, the entire school watched in fear.

Asanali's expression suddenly turned cold.

"You understand nothing… because of this school, I… I lost priceless people. What do you know? You understand nothing…"

He moved to kill Aibar.

But at that exact moment—

CRACKKKK!!!

Lightning descended from the sky directly onto Aibar.

Yet before it could strike him, layers of wind surrounded his body, absorbing the lightning itself. Electricity danced wildly across the storm-like wind barrier.

Asanali's eyes widened in horror.

"Impossible…!"

Wind wrapped around Aibar's entire body, flames igniting over it while electricity scattered everywhere.

Aibar moved faster than even Asanali could perceive.

Before Asanali could react, Aibar was already in front of him, striking him repeatedly and dragging him upward into the sky with nonstop attacks.

Aibar's eyes glowed entirely crimson.

Filled with rage, he unleashed a relentless storm of destructive blows at unbelievable speed.

Asanali barely managed to evade some of them.

Shocked and furious, he shouted:

"You bastard… how?! How are you doing this?! Impossible! You were supposed to stay unconscious for a whole day! HOW?!"

But Aibar remained silent.

His attacks only became faster and stronger.

Then he began using the second giant sword in his other hand as well.

Aibar brutally slashed Asanali apart, leaving his entire body torn and drenched in blood.

With one devastating strike, Aibar smashed him down to the exact place where Aibar himself had fallen earlier.

Teachers and students watching from the windows were left speechless.

Yet Asanali laughed again.

"Hahahaha… pathetic… I… I underestimated you…"

Then all of his wounds rapidly regenerated.

Flames engulfed the wind surrounding his body, and Asanali entered the true form of fire.

This time, he spoke calmly.

"I don't know how you did it, but after taking the injection, you should've remained unconscious for a day. Usually, after the first injection, everyone collapses for a full day. But you… ah, whatever. The form you're using right now is the true form of wind. Yes, in the wind form you can use three elements simultaneously. But I am now in the true form of fire. The fire form stands one level above the wind form…"

Aibar calmly interrupted him.

"You talk too much… you probably don't even realize you're feeding me information again."

Asanali became slightly irritated.

"What…? I'm giving information? I'm simply warning you. Your level… is below mine. I'm pitying you and explaining the danger you're facing—"

"So that's how it is?" Aibar interrupted again with an emotionless face. "We'll see about that."

And the battle resumed.

A fierce sword fight erupted between them.

Asanali finally unsheathed the sword at his waist.

Aibar fought on equal footing—or perhaps slightly above him.

Asanali couldn't believe his own eyes seeing Aibar effortlessly wielding a massive sword with one hand.

The only advantage Asanali had was his overwhelming regeneration.

Their wind barriers had already become useless. The wind now surrounded Aibar's sword itself, meaning the elemental modes could affect weapons too.

Asanali's sword was engulfed in flames.

Aibar's wind-coated blade could cut through Asanali's fire form, while Asanali's flaming sword could clearly slice through Aibar's wind mode as well.

An overwhelming aerial sword battle unfolded in the sky.

A battle on the ground at this level would destroy an entire city.

Aibar occasionally took minor hits himself, but he continuously overwhelmed Asanali with heavier and more destructive attacks.

Aibar's physical strength, speed, endurance, defense, attack power, energy output, and weapon mastery were all far superior.

Even Asanali realized it.

Without his regeneration, he would've been reduced to minced meat long ago.

Still laughing mockingly, Asanali said:

"You can't kill me. Thanks to my regeneration, I can endure your attacks. But you? You'll just tire yourself out. Once your energy runs dry and you weaken, I'll completely dominate the battle."

Aibar calmly replied:

"Hmm… regeneration? Did you think I couldn't sense it? Your weak point is your heart… or rather, the crystal core in its place. Am I right?"

Asanali's face twisted in fury.

"You bastard—!"

Aibar remained calm.

"What? That's nothing surprising. Judging by your reaction… I must be right."

Then he continued his relentless assault.

He intentionally kept dragging Asanali higher into the sky, preventing him from falling back to the ground.

Their destructive power was simply too dangerous.

Finally, under Aibar's overwhelming strikes, the area around Asanali's chest tore open.

Something glowing became visible inside the wounds.

A blue crystal core.

Aibar reacted instantly and ripped the crystal out.

Asanali weakened immediately, slowly descending to the ground.

Aibar landed as well.

Accepting defeat, Asanali collapsed.

With an emotionless face but warm voice, Aibar said:

"You can't tell from my serious expression… but I can read people by the look in their eyes. And this school truly was the worst in Kazakhstan when it came to bullying. I forgive you. Share what burdens you. Perhaps bullies killed someone close to you, and the principal ignored it. I'm listening."

Asanali laughed again, but this time without mockery.

"Hahaha…"

He slowly spoke.

"I used to be a student at this school… and a resident of this village. I had my little brother, my father, my mother, and my grandfather. They meant everything to me. After my parents… my younger brother became the last reason I had to live."

His voice darkened.

"Yes. My parents died. Only my brother and grandfather remained. After our parents passed away, we became orphans and lived briefly under our grandfather's care."

A pause.

"They claimed my parents died in a traffic accident. But I knew… I knew it was intentional."

His anger returned.

"The bullies at school treated me and my brother like animals. One day they demanded a huge amount of money from us. They said if we failed to bring it, our parents would 'sleep forever.' When I complained to the female principal, she only made excuses out of fear. Even the local police were afraid of those bullies… or simply didn't care."

He clenched his fists.

"One day, just one day after I reported them… my parents had to urgently leave for the city. But before dawn, the bullies attached explosives to the car. The moment my parents drove out of the village…"

His voice trembled.

"The car exploded. They burned alive."

He paused before continuing.

"Later, I overheard the bullies bragging about it among themselves. I tried attacking them in rage… but I was weak. They beat me nearly to death. After that, they started beating my little brother every single day for no reason."

His eyes filled with pain.

"I couldn't protect him. I tried… but they intentionally tortured him right in front of me."

"One day… my brother couldn't endure it anymore."

"He killed himself."

"That destroyed me."

"I lost everyone precious to me. Think about it… I was only sixteen."

"After my brother died, my grandfather passed away too from heartbreak."

Then he continued quietly.

"One rainy night, while I was crying outside, a stranger approached me. He introduced me to an organization. He promised they would help fulfill my dream… and that the school would be their first target."

"From that point on, the school became our organization's first objective. And if any member dies… the organization hunts down the killer without stopping."

"Their ultimate goal is to destroy the world and create a new one."

"And if you betray the organization… you die."

Another pause.

"I joined them. They gave me this overwhelming power."

"Then I searched for the bullies who ruined my life."

"And once I found them… I burned every single one of them alive."

"Today I came to destroy the school. Especially after hearing that the current principal is the son of the old principal who ignored everything."

"One of those bullies was the younger son of the principal from my era."

"And now I came here to kill her eldest son."

"Yes, I don't know whether the current principal is good or bad. But I already killed his mother and younger brother. I enjoyed burning them alive."

"In my eyes, they deserved it."

"The school must be destroyed… so monsters like them are never created again."

"To destroy a product, you destroy the factory."

"That's why I came."

Aibar quietly answered:

"You can't tell from my serious face… but I truly share your pain."

Asanali replied coldly:

"Even if you let me go, I may attack the school again. And if I don't… if I betray the organization… they'll torture me to death."

He lowered his head.

"So… kill me instead. I'm already tired. Tired of suffering. Let me rest in the afterlife."

Aibar answered coldly:

"I'll take all responsibility onto myself. To me… you're a hero. A hero who simply walked down the wrong path."

"As you said, the organization's main target is now me."

"But you… rest now."

"May your soul find peace."

He crushed the crystal core in his hand.

Asanali looked at him with genuine respect for the first time.

"Thank you…"

He smiled softly and closed his eyes forever.

Aibar carried Asanali away in his arms.

He washed and buried him according to Islamic tradition.

After the funeral, the next day classes resumed.

But during class, an older student entered and called all the boys downstairs, claiming the principal wanted to see them.

However, he specifically said:

"Except for a boy named Aibar."

Everyone immediately sensed something suspicious.

Still, the boys quietly left the classroom.

Inside his mind, Aibar thought calmly:

"I can sense what's about to happen… my turn has come."

Without being noticed, he secretly followed them.

The older students gathered all the younger boys into an empty classroom downstairs and slammed the door shut.

Aibar listened from outside.

Then the sounds began.

"WHERE'S THE MONEY?!" one older student screamed while beating the younger boys.

The boys started crying.

Aibar kicked the door open with one strike.

"What's going on here?"

The leader of the older students, Meyirzhan, didn't know who Aibar was.

Meyirzhan was feared not only at school but throughout the village. He was sixteen.

Looking at the others, he casually asked:

"New guy?"

One frightened older student answered:

"Yeah."

Meyirzhan noticed everyone acting scared.

"Why are you all afraid?"

He punched Aibar in the stomach.

But it felt like hitting solid iron.

Pain shot through his hand instantly.

Aibar remained emotionless.

To Meyirzhan, it no longer felt like a human was standing before him.

It felt like a bloodthirsty monster.

Fear crept into him.

A terrifying crimson aura began radiating from Aibar.

It formed the image of a massive red monster.

Everyone trembled in terror.

"What… what is that…?"

Meyirzhan barely managed to speak.

The atmosphere was suffocating.

Coldly, Aibar said:

"So you thought… by deliberately not inviting me here, you could freely carry out your filthy little game?"

Then he kicked Meyirzhan in the stomach.

Meyirzhan flew through the window.

The others panicked.

"A red monster…"

Aibar calmed down. The aura faded away.

"Return to your classes."

His voice was cold and harsh.

The older students sighed in relief.

"Gladly…"

They fled immediately, carrying the unconscious Meyirzhan with them.

The younger students also returned to class.

Meanwhile, Aibar walked into the principal's office.

The moment the principal felt Aibar's aura, he jolted upright in fear.

Aibar calmly asked:

"I heard something… Asanali's principal back then… was your mother, right?"

The principal trembled.

"Y-yes…"

"And her younger son… your little brother… was the leader of the bullies who ruined Asanali's life."

"That's why Asanali came to kill you."

"He already killed your mother and brother."

"Of course… I share your grief as well."

The principal, Jasulan Abdullauly, finally spoke calmly.

"Yes. I never supported my brother either. He never listened to me. Our mother spoiled him too much."

"I'm not angry at Asanali."

"And I don't think I even have the right to be."

"My family received the consequences of their sins."

Aibar replied calmly:

"Good… because I made a promise to Asanali. I think you already know that, don't you?..."
