The evening feast soon followed.
The long wooden tables were covered with roasted meat, stews, vegetables, wheat bread, rice dishes, fruits, nuts, cheeses, butter, honey, and countless dishes prepared by the Food and Culinary Arts students. The chefs and students had spent days preparing enough food to ensure that nobody left hungry. But even with the feast already impressive enough, Aurora had one final surprise.
Grape wine.
She had discovered the wild grape plants in the surrounding mountains and immediately understood their potential. Over the past days, her students had harvested enough grapes to produce several jars of fresh grape juice and a limited amount of wine that had been carefully prepared for the festival.
The moment the guests tasted it, the celebration became even livelier.
Aurora watched with amusement as the chiefs cautiously accepted their first cups before taking hesitant sips.
Then Reis stole a second cup only for Asher immediately took it from him.
