Aurora had died.
That was the first clear thought she had. And the second was that death felt… deeply uncomfortable.
Her back ached. Her head throbbed. Her lungs burned as if she had swallowed fire instead of air. But before she could focus on what else ached, she felt something shifting beneath her.
It was hard, warm, and very much... alive.
Her eyes snapped open immediately.
For a brief, disorienting moment, all she saw was darkness. But she soon realized that her eyesight seemed to have improved after death as she suddenly found herself being able to see even in the dark.
That 'something' shifted under her again, making her finally look down, and she froze. Because nothing could have prepared her to find a man there.
That's right. She was straddling a man!
And not just any man, but some sort of supermodel... or maybe some immortal deity?
His features were sharp and sculpted as if carved by something far beyond human hands. He had broad shoulders, taut muscles, and beautiful sun-kissed skin streaked with dried blood and dirt.
Even in his current bound, blindfolded, and clearly injured state, he radiated a dangerous and primal power.
But if his appearance was divine, his expression was anything but.
Even with his eyes covered by what looked like a strip of rough animal hide, the fury rolling off him was unmistakable. His jaw was clenched, his lips were pressed into a hard line, and his muscle beneath her tensed as if ready to snap the restraints at any moment.
He was not happy.
Which, Aurora realized was completely reasonable since she was practically crushing him under her.
Right! Crushing. Because turned out, something had happened to her body.
Gone was her toned, muscled, battlefield-honed physique. Gone were her fair, smooth skin, and long blonde hair she had grown out for several painful years.
Instead, she had become huge. Not thick or curvy, but HUGE. She now had a body so big it could cast a shadow on an elephant.
Not only that, but her skin was blotched with dirt so thick she could scrape it off in layers. Her arms jiggled. Her legs jiggled. Even her chin jiggled.
And her hair...
Dear God.
Her hair looked like it hadn't seen water in ages. They were knotted into a greasy, monstrous nest that birds would be ashamed to live in.
And she was wearing…
Is this… a dead cow on me?
The hide she wore was shredded, stained, and smelled like something had died wearing it.
Aurora gagged, making the man beneath her stiffen at the sound. And then he let out a deep, dangerous growl.
Her gaze returned to him, and she almost felt her cheeks warming up when she noticed he was completely naked except for a piece of animal hide wrapped around his lower half, but even that did little to hide the sheer power coiled beneath his skin.
His wrists were secured tightly above his head with thick vines, restraining him, while she sat on top of him.
She blinked in confusion, completely lost about what was going on. "…What the hell?"
The man beneath her jerked at the sound of her voice, and his body went rigid.
"Get. Off."
His voice was low, rough, and dangerous. He wasn't making a request, he was warning her.
However, Aurora didn't move. Not because she intended to defy him, but because in that moment, something far more pressing crashed into her mind.
Memories.
But none of them belonged to her.
A flood of foreign thoughts, images, and sensations slammed into her consciousness with brutal force. And a life she had never lived unfolded in her head in fragments.
Her expression darkened as she instantly realized what was going on.
"…You have got to be kidding me." She muttered.
She had indeed died, but then she somehow ended up transmigrating.
And into what, exactly? A pig!
A faint, incredulous exhale left her lips. "Of all possibilities…"
She felt the memories finish settling. She went still for a moment, and then closed her eyes, searching through the memories to learn exactly what was going on.
When she opened them again moments later, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
The universe couldn't have messed her up worse than this even if it tried.
Because not only she had transmigrated in a primitive beastworld, but also in the body of a woman who was a S-Tier trash.
The original owner of this body, who shared the same name with Aurora, was an orphan of the Tiger Tribe.
In this world, female were rare because of their depleting population and low birth rates. They were considered precious.
And yet, despite being part of such a valuable group, the original owner had managed to become universally hated.
She was spoiled, cruel, and loud. She bullied weaker females, hit children, insulted elders, and stirred conflict wherever she went.
Her father had once protected her and indulged her every whim which turned her into an uncontrollable disaster. But he had died years ago while saving the current tribe chief, no less. And instead of learning humility, she had grown worse.
The only reason she hadn't been driven out of the tribe already was because of that lingering debt.
Even so, no one wanted her. Not even in a world where females were desperately sought after.
Aurora let out a quiet breath. She had only heard about such females in the story audio books she used to listen during free time. But this was her first time seeing one for real.
But that was a problem for latter.
Her gaze slid down once more to the man beneath her.
Right.
This.
The original owner of the body had found him in the mountains. Seeing him wounded and alone, instead of helping him… she had decided she wanted him.
And when he resisted?
She drugged him, intending to force him into becoming her mate. But before she could succeed, her body - this body - gave out, and she died before she could even touch him from heart failure, exhaustion, and overexertion.
Aurora's lips twitched. "What a lustful woman." She paused for a second before adding, "… and extremely stupid."
She stared down at the restrained man. Then at herself. Then back at him.
For a long, silent moment, the cave was filled only with the sound of their breathing - one controlled and measured, the other heavy and strained.
And then-
Ding!
