Aurora didn't hear the rest.
Her feet barely touched the mountain slope before she propelled herself downward again, using the martial arts techniques she had once mastered to move across terrain no ordinary human could traverse at such speed.
Within seconds, she had disappeared down the mountain.
The three men stood frozen.

Far below them, Aurora was already racing toward the battle, toward Asher and Reis, and toward the hundreds of demon beasts. She wasn't running from danger, but was running straight toward it.
