It took one more full day of hard work before all the four walls of the longhouse were finally completed.
Standing a short distance away, Aurora couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as she looked at the massive structure. The lower half of the walls consisted of carefully stacked stones held firmly together by the clay-and-grass mixture she had taught everyone to prepare. Rising above the stone base were woven bamboo panels coated with another thick layer of clay on both sides. Although the surface still looked rough in many places, the building had already begun resembling the longhouses she remembered from history books back on Earth.
More importantly, it stood strong and firm. Even after several warriors deliberately pushed against different sections to test its strength, the walls didn't budge in the slightest.
Excited cheers immediately erupted throughout the construction site.
"It really became a house!"
"We built it!"
"I still can't believe it."
