By the time the sun stood almost directly overhead, Aurora finally called for everyone to stop working.
The dozens of warriors who had spent the entire morning digging deep foundation holes, carrying tree trunks heavier than several beastmen combined, and raising the enormous wooden pillars into place were drenched in sweat. Even beastmen with their incredible physiques couldn't hide the exhaustion settling into their expressions after several hours of continuous labor.
Aurora looked over the construction site with satisfaction. The progress was much better than she had expected. Since everyone had worked so hard, it was only right to reward them.
"I'll prepare lunch," she announced.
The moment those words left her mouth, nearly every wolf beastman instinctively turned toward her.
For the past week, everyone had already experienced Aurora's cooking every night. Just remembering the roasted meat, fish, and sweet potatoes was enough to make several warriors unconsciously swallow.
