Asher frowned slightly.
It seemed like he's rrying to explain something he didn't fully understand himself.
"When I first met you..." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "You didn't feel like the same person as you are right now."
Aurora's heartbeat skipped. But Asher didn't notice. His gaze grew thoughtful as he spoke, "I don't know how to explain it." And he genuinely didn't. "I just know something changed after that day."
His voice was quiet ashe corrected himself. "Or that night after you fell unconscious for a few moments."
He was talking about the very exact moment the original owner of the body had collapsed, and the moment Aurora's soul had entered this world.
But Asher knew nothing of it. All he knew was that the female who drugged him and tried to take advantage of him was nothing like the one who offered him the deal of curing his poison in exchange of him letting go off the drug matter.
