By the time Aurora finally returned to her cave late that night, exhaustion had settled deep into her bones.
She had spent the entire evening afternoon and evening tending to Briana. Between forcing medicine down the unconscious female's throat little by little, checking her fever repeatedly, massaging pressure points to ease the stomach pain, and preparing additional herbal mixtures, Aurora barely had time to sit down properly.
Thankfully, her efforts had finally shown results. And for the first time in days, Briana's condition had visibly improved. The fox female's fever had lowered slightly, her breathing no longer sounded as strained, and most importantly, she had finally managed to keep down both water and medicine without vomiting it back up immediately.
