Aurora had thought of a few reasons behind Briana's illness on her way here, including poisoning.
But as she now gently pressed her fingers against the fox girl's stomach after finishing reading her pulse, an entirely different reason started coming to life.
The female lying weakly beneath the fur blanket certainly looked close to death with how pale her skin had become and how dry her lips were, yet the signs became clearer the longer Aurora examined her. The slight swelling in the lower stomach, the sour smell lingering around her despite the herbs rubbed onto her skin, the weakness in her pulse, even the way she unconsciously flinched when Aurora pressed certain parts of her abdomen - it all pointed toward something painfully familiar.
Digestive illness.
And a severe one, but still treatable.
