Hu Liena felt her head throb as she looked at the empty space where her teachers once stood. The three powerful versions of Bibi Dong, her mentors and the pillars of Spirit Hall, were simply gone. It was as if they had vanished into thin air without leaving a single trace of their presence behind.
Su Yan looked at Hu Liena with a gentle smile on his face. He seemed completely relaxed, as if nothing significant had happened at all. Hu Liena stared at him blankly, her lips parting in total shock. She could hardly find her voice to speak. She finally managed to whisper, asking if it was really over.
Su Yan was half-amused and half-exasperated by her reaction. He told her that of course it was over and asked if she really wanted him to fight them for three days and three nights. He joked that he would be completely exhausted if he had to do that.
In the chat group, the Future Bibi Dong questioned if he was actually tired. Su Yan responded by saying he feared the jade towers in the sky and the chill of those lofty heights. He wondered how any of them could understand the loneliness of standing so high above everyone else.
Bo Saixi asked if the fight had even started yet. Liu Erlong chimed in, telling Hu Liena to hurry up and send a video or some pictures. She wanted a play-by-play of the action immediately. Others joined in the excitement. Yanzi is not a Swallow posted food emojis, while Winter Cutie expressed a desire to see a peak showdown between masters.
Call Me Her Majesty the Empress cheered loudly, and I Am an Orphan called out Hu Liena's name. The Nine Treasures Little Princess wanted to know what Brother Su Yan had done to make him sigh like that.
Ma Xiaotao bet that the fight was incredibly intense at that very moment. Red Dust Dream Dream Dream mentioned being too excited to sleep just thinking about watching the strongest Spirit Master duel in history. Hu Liena could only respond with question marks, feeling completely overwhelmed.
Meanwhile, in a boundless and pitch-black space, the three versions of Bibi Dong were utterly dumbfounded. They looked around at the infinite void, unable to comprehend where they were. One of them called out Su Yan's name, while another angrily asked what kind of game he was playing.
Su Yan's voice rumbled through the darkness like heavenly thunder echoing in a world of pure black. He asked Her Majesty if she was ready to admit defeat yet. Bibi Dong was completely bewildered by this.
She called him a little bastard and argued that they hadn't even started fighting, so she didn't understand why he was talking about her surrendering. She demanded to know what he was doing and where this place was.
The endless darkness felt like it was ready to swallow her whole, making her feel deeply uneasy and almost frightened. She was furious that even though she hadn't locked him in her secret chamber, he had managed to lock her up first.
Su Yan explained that his Divine Ability had suppressed her and sealed her inside a Sleeve Space. He asked how she proposed they fight while she was trapped there. He told her to admit defeat so he could let her out. Bibi Dong exploded with rage, calling his words bullshit. She claimed she didn't even know what happened and accused him of pulling tricks again.
Su Yan's voice echoed once more from the surrounding darkness. He spoke of an Immortal Mansion of Ageless Life and a Daoist household lasting as long as Heaven itself. He told Bibi Dong that she had never heard of Patriarch Zhen Yuan, the Lord of the Earth-Immortals. He explained that even a tiny shred of that power was more than enough to suppress her.
Bibi Dong ground her teeth and snarled. She accused him of still playing ghost tricks and insisted it was just a spatial Spirit Ability. She didn't believe he could force her to surrender that easily. She declared that she would break his ability right then and there, and then she would go out and punch his face until it looked like a pig's head.
She activated her Seventh Spirit Ability, the Martial Soul True Body. The three Bibi Dongs instantly released their forms. One was a Soul Eating Spider Emperor and the other two were Death Spider Emperors. They stood in a triangle formation. All of them were human above the waist but appeared as giant spiders below.
Bibi Dong felt oddly irritated by her appearance. She thought the form looked ugly. She asked Su Yan if there was a Spirit Ability that could change the appearance of her True Body. Su Yan didn't know whether to laugh or cry at her vanity. He remarked that it was just like her to worry about her looks at a time like this.
Furious, Bibi Dong shouted at him, calling him a little bastard again. She vowed to break his ability first and then stomp him into the ground. She initiated a Tri-Unity Spirit Fusion Skill called the Supreme Spider Emperor.
In an instant, a terrifying aura flooded the darkness. Three pillars of light burst from the Bibi Dongs, condensing in the air to form a colossal purple-gold spider. It was enormous and intimidating. Each leg gave off a deathly qi that made souls tremble. Even a light touch seemed capable of annihilating anyone instantly.
Su Yan told her to take her time and just call him when she was ready to admit defeat.
Outside, Hu Liena was starting to panic. Everyone in the group was waiting for a brilliant peak spirit power showdown, yet it looked like the duel had ended before it even truly began. She worried about what was happening to her teachers.
Liu Erlong told Hu Liena to stop sending question marks and asked where the video and pictures were. Bo Saixi asked for a status update, wondering if they had even started. The Nine Treasures Little Princess sensed that something was off. I Am an Orphan told Hu Liena to speak up and explain what was happening. Everyone in the group was confused.
I Am a Little Bird asked Nana if the shockwaves from the fight had hit her head. Yanzi is not a Swallow wondered how it could be over before it began. Liu Erlong joked about whether Bibi Dong had kicked her brain, while another member made a joke comparing Bibi Dong to a donkey. Cat in the Shadows just wanted to see the video.
Hu Liena replied that she knew they wouldn't believe her, but she couldn't believe it either. She confirmed it really ended before it even started and sent a seventeen-second video. Everyone opened the clip curiously. In the video, Hu Liena spun in place, filming Su Yan and the Little Monkey, but there wasn't a single Bibi Dong in sight.
The group reacted with more confusion. Loves Eating Carrots wondered if she was trolling them. Liu Erlong called her a little fox for daring to fool them all. Tang Yuehua pointed out that they didn't even see the Supreme Pontiff in the video, so they didn't understand how it could have started or ended. Bo Saixi even threatened to fly to Spirit Hall and beat her up if she didn't show them what happened.
At Spirit Hall, Hu Liena was on the verge of tears. She shouted that she wasn't lying and that she really didn't know where her teacher went. In her desperation, she grabbed Su Yan's arm and begged him to say something. Su Yan patted her head to calm her down. He told her to wait a moment because Senior Qian Daoliu was coming.
As he spoke, Qian Daoliu, who had been observing the scene in secret, finally flew over to them. He was frowning as he asked Hu Liena about the three powerful auras he had sensed earlier. He noted they felt very much like Bibi Dong and asked why she hadn't shown up. Hu Liena froze, not knowing how to explain the situation to the High Priest.
Qian Daoliu glanced at Su Yan and then at the Little Monkey. He was confused by what was going on. He noticed the Little Monkey had spirit rings that were rumored to belong only to Vicious Beasts.
As he looked closer at Su Yan, he realized the boy looked very familiar. He remembered the news from Heaven Dou City about a handsome brat who had stolen his granddaughter's heart. The boy in front of him looked exactly like the portrait he had seen.
He recalled the intel on Su Yan, which mentioned a variant-Spirit Little Monkey at his side. Everything matched the description. He became angry when he saw Su Yan being touchy-feely with Hu Liena. Clenching his fist, Qian Daoliu asked in a low voice if he was Su Yan.
Su Yan replied with surprise, greeting him as Senior Qian Daoliu. He asked if the Senior had heard of him. Qian Daoliu thought to himself that it really was him.
He had been planning to look for the boy, but he never expected Su Yan to deliver himself right to his door.
His face darkened, and he swung his fist straight at Su Yan's handsome face, wanting to see how many stories that face could tell. Su Yan was left completely confused by the sudden attack.
