Merus, who was currently in a meeting at the Galactic Patrol headquarters, suddenly received a communication and was taken aback, a look of confusion on his face.
Merus: "????"
Merus was a bit confused for a moment.
Who is proactively contacting me?
I've never seen this before.
"Who are you..." Merus asked with a bewildered look, then as if suddenly remembering something, he hurriedly turned to the Galactic King sitting in the main seat and said respectfully, "Apologies, Lord Galactic King, I need to step out to take a call. I'll be right back."
"Go ahead, go ahead, don't take too long." The Galactic King waved his hand, not objecting, and continued discussing work with the other patrolmen.
Merus, holding his scepter, quickly walked outside. After confirming no one was around, he once again inquired about Soya's identity. "May I ask who you are?"
"Merus, I am a Supreme Kai from another parallel world, named Soya." Soya said with a smile, his tone friendly.
"So it's Lord Supreme Kai. Hello, hello, my apologies, my apologies." Merus immediately greeted politely, bowing slightly to Soya with an attitude of respect.
"There's no need to be so polite. We're all on the same side." Soya said with a laugh. "In our world, there is a new universe. You are the angel of that new universe, and I am the Supreme Kai of that new universe. We could be considered old acquaintances."
"So that's how it is..." Merus suddenly understood and nodded, though he was a bit puzzled inside.
It seems in our world, there is no such thing as a new universe.
Never heard of it at all.
"Then... may I ask what you need from me, Lord Supreme Kai?" Merus asked again, his tone still respectful.
"I came to this parallel world for study and work... Now, there's something I'd like to ask you. How can I use the crystal ball to project the energy of the characters within the image, allowing others to sense it as well?" Soya directly stated his question without beating around the bush.
"So it's about this. It's simple." Merus said with a smile, patiently explaining. "This is quite easy. The Supreme Kai's crystal ball is essentially a true projection of the image. If you carefully focus your senses and concentrate, you should be able to sense the real energy of the characters inside through the crystal ball... As long as you can sense it, you can project that energy, allowing others to sense it too, just like being there in person."
Having said that, Merus paused. His gaze inadvertently swept over the flying cube behind Soya, and he suddenly felt something was a bit off. A flicker of surprise passed through his eyes.
Why do I see two Destroyer Lords stuck in this Supreme Kai's cube?
Lord Heles and Lord Quitela?
What is going on?
Who gave him this cube?
It can even trap Destroyer Gods... That's really strange.
But Merus did not ask further.
Everyone has their own secrets.
"I'll give it a try. Thank you, Merus." Soya quickly expressed his gratitude. "It's nothing urgent. I'll hang up now so I don't disturb your work."
"Alright, Lord Supreme Kai. Feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions." Merus nodded gently, politely ending the call.
However, just as Merus was about to put his scepter away.
Jaco walked over from behind, stepped forward and patted Merus on the shoulder, then looked curiously at the scepter in Merus's hand, his eyes wide open. "Merus, what is that thing in your hand? It looks amazing. Is it a new type of weapon?"
"It's... it's nothing..." The corner of Merus's mouth lifted in a strained curve as he hurriedly hid the scepter behind his back, making up a random excuse. "I just found it outside. Someone probably dropped it."
"I'm going to the bathroom. Do you want to come along?" Jaco didn't think much of it and asked in his usual blunt manner.
"I... I won't go. I need to get back to the meeting." Merus shook his head.
"But speaking of which, Merus... I don't think I've ever seen you use the bathroom. Don't you need to, you know, excrete?" Jaco tilted his head, examining Merus with a serious look as if studying some rare species.
Merus: "..."
Merus felt a bit uneasy.
Angels don't need human physiological activities like using the bathroom.
"Doesn't Officer Jaco urinate from his face? No need to go to the bathroom separately, right?" Merus had a sudden idea and asked with a smile, trying to change the subject.
Jaco's face instantly darkened, a vein throbbing on his forehead. "Could we not talk like that? It's disgusting!"
...
After ending the call with Merus, Soya followed his method and tried to sense the energy of Son Goku and Vegeta within the crystal ball, to see if he could project their energy over.
To his surprise, Merus's method really worked.
Before long, Soya felt two powerful streams of energy coming from the crystal ball, incredibly clear.
Soon, Soya could clearly sense the auras of Son Goku and Vegeta in the Seventh Universe through the crystal ball, even distinguishing the subtle differences in their energy.
Soya marveled at this. The crystal ball was really a great item, its functions were so powerful.
"Can you two sense their energy levels now?" Soya asked with a smile, looking at Heles and Quitela who were stuck and unable to move.
Heles and Quitela glanced at each other, quickly communicating with their eyes.
"This kid is actually a Supreme Kai from a new universe? Is he reliable?"
"His angel is Merus? Never heard of that."
"Have you heard of an angel named Merus? Sounds a bit familiar."
"I think I have some impression... I remember he might be training in the Seventh Universe."
"Never mind for now. Let's see what he actually wants to do. We can't move right now anyway, so we have to cooperate with him for now."
After briefly exchanging thoughts for a moment, they both silently nodded to Soya, indicating they could sense their auras and could clearly distinguish their strength.
"Which of the two do you think will win?" Soya asked.
"Judging from the energy intensity, of course the one with the evil energy has an absolute advantage. His energy is stronger and more stable." Quitela quickly gave an answer, his tone certain.
"That's right, indeed. I think so too." Heles agreed more with Quitela's words, nodding. "The Saiyan in the orange clothes, while his energy is not weak, is clearly inferior to the one in the armor."
"So, you two are picking this person named Vegeta to win, right?" Soya grinned, showing an expression of understanding.
"However, based on the usual tropes, since you're asking this question, it probably means the guy in the orange clothes will ultimately win. I've seen this kind of story plenty of times." Quitela chuckled lightly and said to Soya, a hint of playfulness in his tone.
