Chapter 146 - Chapter 145: Round 5 B

Monoma was probably a dumbass. He chose to fight the strongest boy in 1-A, and he chose to go for the throat insulting the kid that only ever said nice things to him. And he probably deserved the fact he was getting the shit kicked out of him by the boy in front of him. "And this is for Shoto, and this is for Toru, and this is for Mina!" And the hits just kept coming one after another. It was a miracle he remained conscious.

"You have a lot of friends…" At the moment he wished Iruma didn't if it meant the assault would end sooner. He was low on options. His time had run out on using his comrades' quirks and he didn't touch anyone before he was launched.

"And you insulted every one of them!" He shouted, punching him bare in the face. Wait, that was it! He reached out and had his hand hit. "Why would you block that, now you broke your own hand!?"

"It was to copy your quirk." He grinned, reaching in and … "Oh shit, it's a stockpiler isn't it?"

"That's what Bunny-sensei told me." Another punch was sent into his gut. "My power can't be taken, no one but me can ever use it!" He found himself suddenly tossed into the air. "And this, this is for making me think for a second my Mom doesn't love me!" He jumped, meeting him midway in the air. "RABBIT AX CANNON!"

He was lucky he blacked out before hitting the ground.

Aizawa came onto the scene, looking at the damage in question. A couple of destroyed buildings, relatively unharmed students, and Monoma being launched right next to him. A lot less destructive than what he'd been expecting.

"Wait, so what the hell just happened?" Vlad voiced his thoughts out loud.

Suzuki fell down to them, blinking. "Oh, hey Aizawa-sensei." He waved a lot less enthusiastically than normal.

"Explain, Problem child." He demanded.

"Monoma insulted me and my mom and I got really angry and suddenly a bunch of black licorice shot out of my arms." Said substance manifested and hit the boy in the face. "... Black Ramen?" Another hit. "Shut up, it's my quirk, I decide how to use it and what to name it."

"Suzuki, why are you arguing with your arm?" He asked, slightly concerned for the boy's sanity.

"Hm…how do I explain it…" The boy thought for a second before snapping his fingers. "Oh, my quirk is like Dark Shadow. It's alive and talks to me. It's like a pot of soup that I need to stir constantly through my body, and gets crazy when it's too hot." If it was somehow possible, the whip looked resigned to misery.

"... And the rampage?"

"It acts on angry thoughts, and it's the first time I've used it. I only stopped because Ochako weighed me down and Shinso said please." Somehow that was the most logical part of this whole event.

"And…you're okay now?"

"Yeah! I won't use Black Licorice until I know about it better, but I still need to win!" Despite everything, the cheery determination stayed on his face. "I need a complete win to help control my strength, now it's time for-"

"No." He stated clearly, the boy looking confused. "You just received a dangerous Quirk you can barely control. I won't count you out, but you are not going out there to fight. If you say otherwise, I'll take you out myself." He argued.

"What if I don't use my quirk then at all?"

"No, you barely know how to turn that one off. The whip hasn't disappeared once." He gestured to the thing.

"Oh that's easy. Calm thoughts … calm thoughts …" The boy opened his eyes to see it hadn't gone away. "... I have way too much adrenaline pumping after beating up Monoma …"

"Yes." Vlad spoke with a twitching eye. "So you'll stay out."

"Just leave it to your classmates." Aizawa looked at the field in front of him. "They've already got a handle on it."

Well good news, Suzuki was out of the fight, so 1-A's strongest player was out. Bad news, Monoma was out after getting creamed by Suzuki, and Shoda was still unconscious in the ground, so the playing field wasn't exactly level anymore.

Sure, they had their hailstorm of super powered objects, but that meant little to acid, balls that took forever to squish, and gravity manipulation. "Damn it, Monoma, you really screwed us over!" Shinso shouted, doing his best to capture Uravity off guard. "Why did that egomaniac have to insult the nice kid with anger issues!?"

"Never even knew he had anger issues!" Reiko shouted. "According to Shiozaki's babble, the kid is supposed to be an 'angel' or something."

"It's a recent thing. Getting tortured by the incarnation of evil tends to piss people off a little!" Uravity yelled. Oh yeah, he was kidnapped by villains a while back.

"U.A. is slowly dwindling mental stability." Kodai muttered. "Soon all that will be left is chaos and spite in a world of agonized bliss." Her poetry skills have been coming along nicely.

"Maybe, but we're far too deep into it to change anything about it!" Grape Juice shot one of his orbs at her hands, making them both stuck to it. "Just like you're too late to do anything to stop us from winning!"

"Hmm." Her girl muttered, running straight at Pinky in an attempt to either stick together or disintegrate her orbs.

"Not on my watch!" Uravity attacked her from behind, pinning her to the ground. "Have fun trying to move two times your personal gravity!"

"You guys really are impressive." Shinso grinned with a small laugh. "Even after all this crazy shit that happened, you keep your calm and level headed, don't you?" The girl didn't respond, grabbing a discarded object and trying to toss it at him. She responded by manipulating it to avoid hitting Shinso.

"Level headed. That's funny." Pinky scared the boy from the side and delivered her own punch to his face. "There's no one in this class that has their head on straight. We're all crazy, and we go all out! That's Plus Ultra for you!"

"Which means it's time for the perfect combo!" The grape boy jumped at the pink girl. "The union of man and woma-!"

"Perverted home run!" With no hesitation she yeeted the boy at one of the balls, creating a bouncing effect of him zooming around. "You didn't notice, but he threw his balls in specific directions, especially the ones that 'missed'."

"Making him the perfect trapping missile!" Uravity shouted as Grape Juice threw more and more balls at her, some she was able to get out of the way with her quirk, but that only led to two hitting her every four projectiles that she deflected.

While she was busy with that, Pinky was able to rush her with a grin. "Acidman tackle!" The girl shouted, tackling her while covered in a low level acid. "Move any more and I up this stuff to melting instead of burning." She spoke, holding her tight with a slimy body.

While it wasn't exactly a position she didn't mind being in, the pink girl wasn't exactly who she imagined doing this with. "Fine, I surrender." All the planning in the world met zilch when it came to these complete lunatics.

"And no rubble means your mine!" Uravity shouted, jumping at Mine and increasing his gravity.

"And I don't have to worry about this!" While Mineta captured their latest comrade Shinso … leaving no one around that wasn't captured.

"Bullshit, Bullshit! Aizawa, what the fuck are you teaching your students!? "

"Seriously, how the hell are you making me miss Mic of all people? Class 1-A wins, end of story."

"Three to two, fuck yeah!" Pinky cheered. Ugh, Monoma was going to a night long rant….if he ever woke up from his coma that is.

"Chin up Iruma-kun, your team won!" Toru patted her soulmate on the back as the day started to wrap up. "A complete win too!"

"Yeah, but I hurt everyone when I went crazy and hit Monoma too hard." The boy glanced at the boy covered in plaster and casts.

"It's not worse than what Bakugo did to him during the sports festival." Ochako added. "Besides, he insulted your mom, the prick was asking for it."

"I'll take my beating like a man …" The boy stated with a muffle. "However … we may have lost this battle, but we'll win, and prove 1-B is the dominant class of UA!"

"Okay, I think I see why my class doesn't like you." Iruma-kun rolled his eyes. "Just wish I was able to do more. If it wasn't for this stupid power coming out of nowhere…"

"You didn't get knocked out or thrown in a cell. You won, just like you wanted." Bakugo growled. "If you controlled your shitty power better, yes, things would've been different. So learn from what happened, and don't be so stupid next time." Holy crap, Bakugo actually sounded like he was helping Iruma-kun.

"Understood!" The boy shouted. "I will control Black Licorice!" The power itself seemed to hit him. "I'm naming you after a food and there is nothing you can do about it!" Now he began rolling around in a strangling match, Aizawa watching with dead eyes.

"Toshi, prepare to have three separate lectures from me, Recovery Girl, and Nedzu by the end of the day." Aizawa-sensei groaned. "Now with that out of the way for the moment, let's move on to more pressing matters." Both classes turned to Shinso. "Your performance through both battles…was a passing grade."

The boy had sparkly eyes that could rival Iruma-kun on a good day. "I … passed …"

"Next year you can look forward to a transfer into the Hero Course." The man nodded, turning back to his class. "So make sure it's not one of you."

"Oh shit, oh shit, we're doomed, we're doomed!" Sero spiraled in agony. "We're going to lose our place in class!"

"There's only so many weeks we have left until the new year." Tsuburaba yelled out. "What can we do to avoid this fate!?"

"Why couldn't I have done better, why did we have to fight Bakugo!?" Awase shouted.

"It was nice knowing you all." Shoji nodded respectively.

"I suppose this is what I deserve." Aoyama looked the most resigned to his fate. "My light just wasn't meant to shine among the best." The only ones that weren't panicking were Shoto and Tokage. Understandable, they were top of their classes already, so this wouldn't really affect them in the long run.

"1-B will once more rise to the top, so we'll double your training, understood!" Wow, the man really was a drill sergeant. It made her feel lucky they had to deal with Aizawa at times.

Banjo grinned. "That went well."

"In what universe would you call that going well!?" Second yelled.

"The one where we won the exercise." He smiled back.

"The kid sprouted a whole new quirk in front of both hero classes, and the hobo man is most definitely going to be on Suzuki's case now if he wasn't already!" Third countered. "We were lucky that Fa Jin could potentially act like an extension of his super strength, and the kid's already so good at dodging no one thought twice about danger sense!"

"You're just mad the ninth named your quirk leftovers." Nana snickered.

"All the effort I go through with a name and he calls it that." The man growled. "It's almost as bad as Cookbook."

"Well the name fits." Hikage sighed. "And bad names or not, the food metaphors have helped him gain control. We certainly didn't expect Fa Jin to manifest so early on."

"Neither did we expect All For One to capture and torture him." En sighed a bit guilty. "It's a miracle his will stayed strong. We all feared he'd give One For All up the moment someone said please."

"Luckily we've broken him out of that mindset." Banjo smiled.

"We did jack shit, it was his friends that broke him out." Nana pointed out.

"It's the thought that counts." He shrugged. "I almost thought he would be too nice to use Blackwhip, but he's got spite in spades. Now all he needs to do is learn how to guide and direct it."

"He's not exactly the same doe eyed kid who received a quirk almost over a year ago." Yoichi looked a bit downtrodden. "All that happiness is getting clouded by anger."

"Well sunshine and rainbows ain't exactly going to stop your bastard brother." Second argued.

"Yes … but all that darkness isn't going to make a good hero, will it?" He asked back.

"I had plenty of darkness and you trusted me."

"Look, the fact is this kid has been through a lot of shit, okay?" Nana interrupted. "The same shit that I tried my damndest to keep my family away from, and doing that led All For One to Tenko. Suzuki in the end just wants to help people." She sighed. "We just have to trust and leave it at that."

"I just hope … it ends up well enough." The man sighed, leaning back. "He'll never find a happy path if he's just angry all the time."
