Jiraiya looked at the shooting star going up into the sky towards the meteorite with a surprised expression on his face.
'Is that Tsuande?'
While he couldn't see her, he could still recognise her by her chakra with the chakra he had mixed into the atmosphere.
He watched as she landed on the meteorite before rushing towards the top.
'What is she doing?'
'Does she think she can smash her way through the meteorite?'
'And who is that flying anyway? The person has nearly as much chakra as a half-decent genin. When did the leaf village have a flying jutsu in its arsenal?'
And only a few seconds later, Jiraya felt an enormous mass of chakra gather at the top of the meteorite and detonate.
'Wha-!?'
Jiraya slammed his hands together as soon as he felt that before the hair on his body expanded and covered him entirely.
'Needle Jizo!'

Fugaku Uchiha looked at the shooting star flying towards the meteorite with his three tomoe sharingan and opened his mouth in disbelief.
'Is that Tsunade-sama!?'
'To have courage even in such despair… she truly embodies the spirit of the village, the will of fire, better than me.'
'But who is that other child flying with her?'
They soon went out of even the range of his sharingan as they moved to the top of the meteorite before the world suddenly flashed white as he heard a terrible explosion.
With his sharingan quickly adapting to the light, Fugaku saw it, and his mouth opened wider in disbelief.
'Wha-'
***
Jiraiya felt a powerful flash of light penetrate even the darkness of his needle jizo, however he found himself adapting to it very quickly since he kept his eyes shut.
As the light faded away a sharp tremor passed through Jiraiya's body before he heard it, a rumbling explosion that shook the entire village to its core.
Opening his eyes slowly, and then undoing the needle jizo jutsu, Jiraya looked up at the sky.
"WHAT!?"
Jiraya's mouth hung in disbelief.
"WHERE DID IT GO!?"
The meteorite had simply vanished, gone, as if it had been deleted from existence entirely by someone.
The sky was bright again and the clouds had cleared up because of the recent explosion.
Jiraiya stood there frozen when he suddenly noticed two figures tumbling down towards the Earth at great speed.
'Tsunade!'
Jiraya dashed towards the spot he predicted the two people who were clinging onto each other for dear life would crash.
He poured as much chakra as he could control into his legs to speed up.
'I'm not going to make it!' Jiraiya realised quickly, so he rapidly formed hand seals before his hair suddenly extended.
'Can I make it in time?'

Fugaku noticed the two people tumbling through the air and quickly realised what had just happened.
'Tsunade-sama has performed a miracle!'
'She must be saved!'
'At any cost!'
He was however too far to save them from crashing into the Earth.
His eyes scanned the area rapidly before he noticed Jiraiya dashing towards them as well.
'He won't make it.' Fugaku instantly concluded.
Then-
-his eyes transformed.
From the plain three tomoe sharingan to the pinwheel like structure that he desperately hid from everyone before he became the Hokage.
Now it was time to reveal this hand he decided.
Fugaku stepped out of the Hokage tower and rapidly dashed into the air.
As soon as his body left contact from the floor, a deep purple skeletal construct formed around him.
It was the susanoo.
The skeletal humanoid figure kicked its legs and covered the distance between itself and Tsunade and Haruto in mere moments!
Grabbing the two out of the air, with its bony fingers forming a firm yet gentle grip around their figures, Fugaku saved the two of them from certain death.
Fugaku quickly laid down the two people in his grasp on the ground to prevent flaring up of any hidden injuries before turning to Jiraya.
"Jiraya-sama… please… save them!"
Jiraya who had just reached the site looked at Fugaku's Susanoo with a little shock and surprise before quickly snapping out of it and focusing on Haruto and Tsunade.
Only as soon as he looked at Tsunade, his expression collapsed.
Tsunade had welts that had sprouted up all over her adolescent body. They had formed and then they had burst with puss, gore and blood leaking fresh out of them.
Jiraiya quickly knelt down beside Tsunade, and the second he did, Tsunade's head snapped in his direction.
And even through all the pain she was facing, Tsunade spoke, her throat hoarse but her voice steady, "Give me your chakra."
Jiraiya didn't delay for a second, he gently grasped Tsunade's hand and began pumping as much chakra as he could muster into Tsunade's body.
The changes were immediate.
Tsunade's entire body was covered in a greenish hue before the welts started to dry up, and then they all fell off.
New fresh skin shone from underneath as Tsunade's body recovered quickly. But the dried blood remained.
She quickly sat up even before her body recovered fully, her eyes snapped open as she looked around for a few seconds before her eyes narrowed on Haruto's body beside her.
As she looked at the pristine condition of Haruto's body, surprise came over her.
'No burns?'
Tsunade was surprised, the wind that had passed over them had been hot, so hot that had she not purposefully extracted chakra by depleting her lifeforce to heal herself and cover Haruto in a blanket of it, they'd have combusted spontaneously.
Yet only she'd faced burns beyond imagination.
Tsunade became suspicious for a second but then Haruto groaned in pain before he whispered, "Tsunade… are you there?" and it caused all the walls within her to shatter.
The face of her brother and her lover overlapped with Haruto as she felt a deep sense of worry and fear.
Was Haruto going to die?
Just like everyone else she'd trusted to live?
Tsunade forgot her fear of blood even as her blood soaked hands came into view and she began pumping chakra into Haruto to diagnose his condition.
However the second her hand came in contact with Haruto's body she flinched!
'Hot!' Tsunade exclaimed in her head. Yet she forced herself to bear the pain and treat Haruto as she would any other patient.
'His ears are shot.'
'His eyes are shot.'
'...from the explosion?'
'But everything else seems to be fine?'
Tsunade finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Healing the eyes and the ears wasn't something too difficult for her, her newly acquired chakra traversed Haruto's body and found the right spots that needed to be healed before activating the body's natural healing factor.
Haruto who felt the foreign chakra entering his body realised that Tsunade was healing him and tried sitting up gently.
But Tsunade pushed him down firmly.
"....-an you hear me now?" Tsunade suddenly said and the voice reached Haruto's ears.
His expression immediately brightened as he practically shouted, "I can Tsunade-sama!!!"
"Calm down." Tsunade said strictly.
Haruto obeyed immediately.
But not before long he quietly asked, "Did we do it, Tsunade-sama?"
Tsunade remained silent as did Jiraya and Fugaku.
"Tsunade-sama?" Haruto asked again with a little worry in his tone.
Right then Tsunade spoke softly, "Why don't you look for yourself."
Haruto's already wide open eyes slowly regained their light as the first thing Haruto saw became the fresh blue sky.
Haruto's eyes widened.
Then his eyes went down where he saw Tsunade's hands and then her tired face.
"We did it?" Haruto asked, pushing himself up a little.
"Yes, we did it." Tsunade nodded, causing Haruto to simply collapse back into the ground with a sigh.
"...I thought we were going to die."
