Plenty of people looked up at the sky and gasped in surprise.
They all saw a burning shooting star flying straight at the meteorite, shining bright through the darkness, giving them hope and vigor.
Tsunade who'd closed her eyes in fright for a second opened them wide as she looked below after her ears had popped multiple times by now.
They were up, high up in the air, about half a kilometer up already in just half a minute.
Tsunade's heart started to beat a little faster as they travelled even higher and her limbs wrapped around Haruto a little tighter subconsciously.
Haruto on the other hand had his eyes straight up on the meteorite.
"Tsunade-sama! My chakra is running low! I'll turn around and stick to the bottom! You'll have to carry me to the top after that!" Haruto shouted against the wind.
Tsunade clicked her tongue again but that was inaudible as the winds rushed past their faces so she shouted out loud, "Alright!! Land slowly!"
Haruto nodded and raised his hands into the air as he slowed down his ascent.
Then with a little bit of maneuvering, Haruto reversed his flying and began to match speeds with the falling meteorite.
Soon he stuck his feet to the meteorite's surface allowing Tsunade to stand too. Only a second later Tsunade yelped in pain.
"God!! This thing is hot!!"
"It is?" Haruto mumbled, slightly unsure of himself since he was standing bare foot. "Did I gain heat resistance?"
Tsunade wasn't one for providing an explanation however and she immediately, in a puff of smoke, transformed back into her adult form.
"Get on! Quick!" Tsunade said, slightly lowering her back.
Haruto nodded and quickly climbed onto her back much like how she had just done with him.
With Haruto settled, Tsunade instantly began running, cutting through the air that was being pushed aside by the meteorite as it fell through the sky.
That was when Haruto finally looked down.
They were fast approaching the village. The people that looked like miniature dots were starting to grow as large as ants.
"Faster!" Haruto shouted in Tsunade's ear causing her to look below for a second before she pumped excessive chakra into the soles of her feet to use its repulsion to propel herself forwards using the body flicker jutsu.
"Hold on!" Tsunade shouted before both she and Haruto vanished from their spots as parts of the meteorite underneath Tsunade's feet cracked and shattered.
Haruto held on for his life much like Tsunade from a few seconds earlier and tightened his grip around her neck and her waist.
After only about three or four short stops, travelling about four kilometers, they were already on top of the meteorite, standing right below the clouds as wind rustled their clothes and made them both shiver.
Tsunade looked at Haruto for a second and paused to ask him seriously.
"Are you sure you can do this? It's not going to be just another fireball jutsu is it?"
"You can trust me." Haruto nodded equally seriously before speaking up.
"You should create a hole as deep as possible for me to launch my jutsu at it, so that the meteorite fractures from within and nothing remains intact as it reaches the ground."
"Hmmm…" Tsunade looked away from Haruto before speaking calmly, "Do your best to stay on your feet."
"Huh?" Haruto asked in confusion but Tsunade didn't respond, instead she formed the ram seal causing the blue diamond on her forehead to glow pink.
Haruto's eyes widened.
He remembered exactly how much power Tsunade was capable of in this mode since she'd broken Madara's skeletal Susanoo.
'Will the meteorite even survive?'
The pink diamond soon expanded as bindings drew on Tsunade's entire body, spreading around like strands of DNA.
All of a sudden Haruto felt a strict difference between the Tsunade before the seal was released and after. He felt a deep sense of danger emit from Tsunade at this moment.
Had there been a sensor they would've immediately pointed out that Tsunade's chakra had multiplied by a hundred fold in a matter of seconds.
But to Haruto's diminished senses it felt like he was suddenly staring at a dragon instead of a tiger.
"Wha-"
"This is the strength of a hundred seals!" Tsunade proclaimed boldly before lifting her hand high up.
Haruto saw her muscles tighten around her arm before she slammed it down onto the meteorite.
BANG!!!
There was silence for a second with only the sound of wind bellowing around them any indication of the stakes they were facing.
And then it trembled.
The meteorite shook as cracks began forming in its surface before the entire surface sank with spiderweb like cracks spreading out all over.
Haruto stumbled forwards for a second before Tsunade gripped him by the scruff of his collar and held him like a misbehaving kitten.
Tsunade jumped into the air and landed at the edge of the nearly hundred meter wide crater and placed Haruto down.
"How's that? Does it work? That's the deepest I can go without fragmenting the meteorite." Tsunade promptly asked.
Haruto, mouth open wide, stared in awe.
He'd only ever seen a crater form like this once before, when Megumin had launched her explosion in excitement in the Template Inventory Space.
Granted Megumin's explosion crater was about a kilometer wide and Tsunade's was just a tenth of that, still the spectacle left him rather dumbfounded since Tsunade had just used a single punch.
"Well?" Tsunade asked impatiently as her hair fluttered in the wind.
Haruto finally snapped out of it and nodded, "Fine! This is fine! Send me your chakra now. And go back to being a child."
Tsunade nodded and in another puff of smoke her appearance, clothes and all, changed into that of a child that was in her early teens.
Then placing her hand on Haruto's back, Tsunade began to transfer the chakra stored within her and her forehead seal.
As Tsunade's perfectly balanced chakra entered Haruto's body, he began to feel invigorated, but slowly the feeling passed ecstasy and stepped into the territory of bliss.
Haruto shuddered as the chakra was pumped into him, making him suddenly feel omnipotent, as if he could do nearly anything he could imagine with the chakra he was given.
But Haruto's focus wasn't on that.
In spite of feeling like a god, Haruto felt the exact emotion that Tsunade was feeling while transferring him this vast amount of chakra.
'Save the village! Save everyone!'
Tsunade didn't need to say anything to convey the meaning of those words.
So with the feeling and its expectations a soft weight settled on Haruto's shoulders.
With a soft sigh Haruto simply relaxed himself and let Tsunade pour more and more chakra into his body, to the point that Haruto felt chakra bubble around him and drown him entirely much like Naruto's Nine Tailed Fourth Shinobi War Cloak.
Except this cloak was a deep pink, the colour of Tsunade's chakra.
There was a comfortable silence between the two as Haruto embraced this new chakra and prepared himself mentally for what was about to come.
Soon, after a few more seconds, Tsunade collapsed onto his back in exhaustion. "I gave you everything I had, is that enough?"
Haruto nodded, "This much should be enough. Now let's end this."
