You detonate your bombs on Earth, while they watch fireworks from space. Amanda had never felt them so powerless as she did now.
Amanda thought for a moment and decided to deal with Superman first; Shazam was not a difficulty they could challenge right now.
"You've entered the Justice League now; can you find a way to get some Kryptonite?"
Atomica replied: "I've searched both the Hall of Justice and the Watchtower, and found no trace of Kryptonite. Other members' identities are unknown, so I can't get it from them.
I generally don't see Shazam. There's only one person who might still have some Kryptonite..."
Amanda immediately knew who she was talking about.
"Batman..."
"Yes, only Batman. He is the only superhero whose identity is almost semi-public.
And judging from the war against Doomsday at the time, his research on Kryptonite had clearly entered a very deep stage."
Amanda felt a bit strange: "You know a bit too much about these things, don't you?"
Atomica calmly said: "Isn't that precisely my purpose?"
"What are your thoughts? You might as well state them all at once?"
"Waller, since we both know who Batman is, why don't we try to steal the Kryptonite from him?"
Amanda frowned, lowering her voice: "Can you guarantee that this matter will absolutely not be discovered by him?"
Atomica confidently said: "Of course, Batman is just an ordinary person. He can't see me and will absolutely not discover me!"
After thinking for a moment, Amanda finally nodded.
Although Bruce was a wealthy man in Gotham, Checkmate was not a lackey of capital and was not afraid of this.
However, to avoid official trouble, Amanda still warned: "Get the item and leave. Do not engage in any conflict with Batman!"
"Understood."
That night, Atomica infiltrated Wayne Manor based on Checkmate's intelligence.
They already knew that Batman was currently on duty in Gotham City, so there was no one else in the Manor.
Although Bruce had hidden the Base well, Atomica had someone behind her who knew the place well, guiding her.
The Outsider was familiar with the house; even though Wayne Manor was slightly different from the one in their World, it didn't pose a challenge for him.
Under his guidance, Atomica quickly found the Batcave, and there, she discovered a piece of Kryptonite the size of a fingernail.
"Is this enough?" Atomica wondered. This tiny piece wasn't even enough for Ultraman to snack on.
The Outsider sneered, "In fact, we need even less. You'd best take a tiny fragment from the top; don't let Batman notice. He's a very perceptive man."
Atomica, following the Outsider's instructions, shrunk herself even smaller and then broke off an even tinier fragment from that piece of Kryptonite.
This tiny piece was negligible compared to the fingernail-sized fragment.
"Is this enough?"
"It's enough. As long as it's in the right place, it's more than enough to give Superman a hard time."
Atomica nodded and immediately rushed out after taking the item.
She felt a chilling sensation there and wanted to leave quickly.
Although Batman and Owlman were different people, Atomica always felt they shared some similar traits, such as both being like lunatics.
About three hours after Atomica left the Manor, Batman returned to the Batcave after finishing his work.
He went to his workbench, intending to continue his research on the Kryptonite on the table.
He turned on the laser, allowing it to shine on the Kryptonite. The laser reflected from the Kryptonite hit the receiving device, but the position was off, and the light began to scatter.
Batman frowned. He began to check if the Kryptonite's position had shifted, but it hadn't.
Moreover, he had already adjusted the Kryptonite before he left. If no one had touched it, the Kryptonite's relative position couldn't have changed, and Alfred or other members of the Bat-Family wouldn't have moved it either.
Batman narrowed his eyes, a hint of suspicion arising in his mind.
He began to use the equipment to calculate the Kryptonite's mass and found that it was an incredibly tiny bit less than before he left.
This minute difference was not an error; he was certain of it.
To verify it, Batman magnified the Kryptonite with a microscopic enlarger, allowing him to see more details.
He discovered a small missing piece at a certain point where the light shone, and it was this small piece that caused the light to scatter.
Furthermore, he roughly estimated the size of the gap and found that the missing portion perfectly matched the mass of the lost part he had calculated.
The conclusion was already clear: someone had stolen a part of this Kryptonite while he was away.
Batman immediately pulled up the surveillance footage. He reviewed the Manor's recordings from that period but found no abnormalities.
Even when he switched to multiple views, thermal imaging, or pressure sensors, it was the same; the invisible person seemed to have taken the item out of thin air.
However, Batman's first reaction was not to think of magic or anything of the sort. He searched his mind and realized that there was someone in the Justice League who could stealthily steal his things without triggering any of his alarm mechanisms.
So he immediately contacted Dane.
"Is there something wrong with Atomica?"
"Oh? Why do you say that?" Dane was a bit surprised, but the next second he reacted.
"What? Did she take something from your place?"
Batman's tone was flat: "So can I assume that she stole it? And you're condoning her."
"I didn't, I'm not, don't talk nonsense."
Dane immediately denied it three times.
