Evening, half past seven.
Inside the elevator,
The silver doors slowly slid shut with a soft hum.
Gojo Satoru leaned lazily against the mirrored wall, hands in his pockets, then suddenly poked Yukinoshita Yukino's shoulder with his finger. A mischievous smile curved on his lips.
"So?" he said casually. "Was dinner delicious tonight?"
Yukino didn't even look at him. She crossed her arms and stared straight ahead at the digital floor numbers lighting up one by one.
"It was… so-so. Who knows if that's the only thing you know how to cook?" Her tone was light, almost indifferent as she didn't even spare him a glance.
Gojo raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Just so-so?"
"Yes. Just so-so."
Of course it was delicious.
But you want her to admit it directly?
Absolutely impossible!
Maybe in the next life—No! It's not even possible even in the next life.
Gojo leaned closer, bending down slightly so his face was almost at the same level with hers.
"Hey, Yukino~," he dragged out her name deliberately, his eyes searching for any movement or twitch from behind his blindfolded, "being too arrogant can ruin your life, you know."
"I'm not arrogant. I'm being honest." Yukino said as she heard his words, her eyes still at the shiny buttons.
"Really~?" His voice was long and teasing, chuckling lightly at the end.
Yukino frowned slightly, finally turning her head to respond—
"Of cour—"
Her words stopped. She finally noticed that their faces were suddenly too close.
Too close!
Her breath caught for half a second. Their noses were almost touching with her lips being just a few centimeters away from his.
Time seemed to freeze inside the quiet elevator.
However, Gojo Satoru immediately took a step back in the next second and said dramatically.
"What are you doing, Yukino?!" he said in exaggerated horror. "Let me tell you, we're teacher and student. We can't cross that line."
"…What?" Yukino's face instantly flushed.
"It should be me asking that!" she snapped, her voice cold but shaken, "You're the one who suddenly leaned in!"
"Ah? Don't accuse the innocent," Gojo said with a click of his tongue. " It was you who turn around at the exact time, You're quite bold, Yukino."
"You—!" She clenched her fists, words stuck in her throat.
Just a little more.
Just a little more and her first kiss would've been gone for no reason—
And to him of all people!
This shameless white-haired menace.
She folded her arms tightly, turning her head away with a dark expression, refusing to speak another word.
Gojo watched her from the corner of his eye, as he had stepped back on purpose.
After all, whatever strange bond they shared, he was still technically her teacher at Sobu High School. And in this mixed world—he had enough complications already.
And also If Yukinoshita Yukino was really about to seal it at that time, apart from anything else, she would first give him a tight slap in his handsome face, before severing every ties between them.
The elevator chimed.
The doors slid open.
Yukino walked out immediately, her expression still cold. As she turned left without hesitation.
Gojo leaned casually against the doorway, watching.
Five steps later— She stopped, paused for sometime before she turned around and walked back silently.
Gojo smirked, as he asked playfully, "Wrong direction?"
"Stop talking and send me home," she said flatly, not meeting his eyes.
He shrugged. "Yes, yes, Miss."
They walked toward the parking area together.
.....
Outside, the night air was cool. Streetlights cast long shadows across the polished pavement.
A loud engine roared to life.
Gojo Satoru was sitting on his Kawasaki motorcycle, helmet already on. The engine vibrated beneath him with a low growl.
Yukino stood beside him, staring at the vehicle for a second.
"…You ride this thing every day?"
"Of course. It's cool, right?"
"…It's noisy."
"Get on."
She sighed softly but put on the spare helmet and sat behind him. There was a brief moment of hesitation before she lightly held onto the side of his jacket.
The motorcycle sped out of the apartment complex.
{T/N: Yea, so look like Gojo's house is not just a normal house but a big apartment....😅 🤦♂️}
The city lights blurred past them.
After about fifteen minutes, they stopped in front of a high-end apartment building.
Gojo tilted his head slightly.
"This should be your place, right?"
Yukino looked around, then nodded. "Yes."
She removed her helmet and handed it to him without another word. Then she walked toward the entrance without saying anything.
Gojo watched her figure disappear through the glass doors.
"Still mad, huh…"
He placed the helmet back and twisted the accelerator—
Buzz.
When, he suddenly felt his phone vibrated in his pocket.
He took out his phone as he glanced at the screen.
It was a message from Yukinoshita Yukino.
Yukino Yukinoshita: "Safe travels."
Gojo stared at the message for two seconds, as a smiled appear on his face.
"…Cute."
He typed back quickly.
"You're cuter when you're not being tsundere."
He put his phone away before she could reply and drove off, the motorcycle's roar echoing down the quiet street.
.....
Inside the apartment building,
Yukino stood in the elevator alone now, arms folded tightly.
Her phone buzzed, stopping for a second—she took out her phone as she glanced at the message.
Gojo-sensei: "You're cuter when you're not being tsundere."
Her face instantly heated up.
"Idiot."
She locked her phone quickly.
After reaching her floor, she walked down the quiet hallway and unlocked her apartment door.
Click.
The door opened with a soft sound.
The room was dark except for the faint light from the city outside passing through the window.
Yukino stepped inside and began changing into indoor slippers.
Only to froze.
Next to the shoe rack were a pair of elegant high heels. The high heels couldn't be any familiar, her eyes narrowed.
"…Don't tell me."
She quickly stepped inside the living room, as she had thought—
There, on the sofa, lay a woman sleeping gracefully.
The woman's face was about seventy percent similar to Yukino. But where Yukino was cold and sharp, this woman seem warm and was dangerously charming.
She was Yukino's big sister—Yukinoshita Haruno.
As if sensing her sister return, Haruno stirred slightly, making a seductive noise,
"Mmm…"
As she slowly opened her eyes, rubbing her eyes with her fair right hand.
When she saw Yukino standing there with a extremely cold face, she instantly smiled brightly.
"Yukino~ You're back!"
Before Yukino could react, Haruno stood up and walked over, wrapping her arms around her younger sister in a tight hug.
"I've been waiting for you for so long."
Yukino stiffened slightly but didn't push her away.
"You're here waiting for me? I have a little personal matter today," Yukino said calmly. "But how do you have the key to my apartment?"
Haruno smiled innocently as she said teasingly, "Oh, that's easy. The locksmith who changed your door last time? He's been working with our family for years. I just had to asked him to make a spare key. Simple~"
"You did what?"
"Don't be angry, I just wanted to surprise you."
Yukino's expression darkened as a faint irritation flashed across her eyes.
She had specifically instructed the locksmith not to make spare keys for anyone without her permission.
And yet—He still gave one to her sister!
"I see," Yukino said quietly, as she calm herself down.
Haruno tilted her head slightly, studying her sister. "You're in a bad mood tonight."
"I'm not!"
"Oh? Then why does it feel like someone teased you?"
Yukino's eyes narrowed. "No one did."
"Really?" Haruno leaned closer, smiling playfully. "Your ears are red."
Yukino stepped back immediately. "It's cold outside."
"Mhm~ Of course it is." Haruno laughed softly, clearly unconvinced.
She walked back to the sofa and sat down elegantly, crossing her legs.
