Chapter 128 - Chapter 127

"I didn't expect Gojo-sensei to be the older brother of Gojo-san."

Yukino Yukinoshita said, before she lifted her coffee cup elegantly and took a slow sip. There was a trace of genuine surprise in her calm voice.

The afternoon light slanted through the windows, illuminating the quiet living room.

Umaru Gojo scratched her right cheeks lightly and smiled gently. "Maybe it's because my big brother and I have different hair colors. A lot of people at Sobu High School don't realize we're siblings."

Her tone was soft and refined—making Gojo's body twitch, no matter how much he saw her behave like this, he can't get used to this.

Benio nodded her head lightly, as for why the hair color is different, she naturally knows. While, at first she was confused she later found out that—Umaru and Gojo-sensei weren't really a blood-related siblings at all.

But it doesn't really matter that much, because as long as there is love and care for each other, anyone could become a family. She too had learn this....brother...

Yukino nodded slightly, that explanation....is reasonable.

"Also," Umaru continued politely, "Yukinoshita-san, you can just call me Umaru… if you prefer. My friends call me that. Otherwise, if you call him Gojo-sensei and call me Gojo-san, it will becomes confusing."

'Friends..'

Yukino paused briefly, before she nodded slowly, "Alright…Umaru."

The act of calling other with their First name sounded strangely intimate, closed. Gojo-sensei didn't count as no matter how much she refuse and complain about him using her first name he wouldn't stop.

She considered the word for a moment. After a short silence, she nodded again, staring at Umaru's eyes as she continue calmly, "Then please call me Yukino."

"Okay, Yukino."

Umaru responded gently.

The atmosphere was calm and surprisingly harmonious.

At that moment—

Benio Adashino suddenly stood up. "I'll go back to my room for a moment."

Without waiting for further explanation, she left quickly.

The reason was simple.

Kinako—currently disguised as a small star-shaped ornament hanging around Benio's neck—was feeling suffocated and wanted to come out to get some air, so he contacted his little master through their connection.

Kirara's tiny spiritual voice echoed in her mind.

To avoid exposing the existence of a shikigami in front of Yukino, Benio had no choice but to retreat temporarily.

Thus—

The spacious living room was now left with three people and one cat.

Vanilla stretched lazily on the sofa, tail swishing lightly as Yukino lightly caress it's back as Umaru too walked over.

Gojo Satoru leaned back, crossing his legs casually as he glanced over.

"It seems you two would have a good chat. That's reassuring. Now I can focus on making the cosplay outfit."

He interrupted, as he watch the two girls playing with the kitty.

Why did it feel like he had to squeeze sewing time into his already 'busy' daily schedule?

Teaching at Sobu High School.

Handling occasional spiritual disturbances.

Supervising Benio's exorcist training as part of the teacher responsibility.

Catching up with Shizuka and Subaru, chatting with Nino.

And now—he also had become a Cosplay tailor.

"A lazy life is really just a dream…" He sighed dramatically.

Yukino glanced at him, her eyes shifted slightly when she heard the word cosplay.

"May I observe?"

"Observe?"

"You said you're making a cosplay costume. I don't know much about tailoring, but I can learn. As head of the Service Club, I should broaden my abilities."

There was something deeper hidden beneath that calm tone.

Yukino Yukinoshita was a perfectionist. She excelled academically and reasoning. But when she learned that Gojo Satoru—a seemingly lazy adult—was proficient in sewing and costume-making…than her.

Her competitive spirit had been quietly stirred and also because since it was the commission work for the Service Club and they might have to do this kind of help in the future too. She can't always rely on Gojo-sensei all the time. Not at all!

Gojo tilted his head and looked at her strangely. "You want to watch?"

"Yes."

He stare at her calm expression for sometime before he shrugged. "Sure. Just don't blame me if it's boring."

"...Thank you." She said politely.

As the two stood up and walked toward the second-floor study.

Leaving Umaru and Vanilla along in the living room.

Umaru stare at their departing figures before she glance at the sleeping Vanilla in the sofa. Her angelic smile vanished instantly as her posture collapsed.

She slouched on the sofa like a tired middle-aged uncle.

"…Maintaining the beautiful-girl persona at home is exhausting…" She sighed dramatically.

She had been tense the entire time. What if Yukino had asked—

"What do you usually do during holidays?"

"Why did you wake up so late?"

"Why does your older brother still wake you up?"

Her three honest answers would have been:

Playing games at home during holidays.

Because I stay up all night gaming. Teehee~

Because she want to, she actually liked when her brother woke her up!

Absolutely unacceptable!

Her reputation at Sobu High School would collapse instantly.

"You stinky onii-chan! Why are you making things difficult by bringing the girls I know at home!"

.....

Second Floor – Study Room.

As soon as Yukino stepped inside—

She paused as she saw a variety of books neatly lined in the bookshelves. Their were many different types of books there and she can even find the books and novels that she frequently read in the Service club.

In the center of the room were mini-sewing machines, with various scissors (small and large), measuring tapes, fabrics, threads, and tools arranged neatly.

Yukino's eyes flickered slightly as hhe straightened her skirt and sat gracefully on a nearby chair that was prepare by Gojo.

"Surprised?" Gojo asked playfully as he too took his seat beside the machine.

"Yes," she admitted calmly. "I'm surprised."

Gojo leaned back in his chair, propping his cheek with his right hand.

"Surprised by my hidden depth?"

"Surprised that you are capable of doing serious work."

"…That hurts." Gojo said with a mock-hurt expression.

She gestured slightly, "Shall we begin?"

Gojo stared at her. "…What do you mean, 'shall we begin'?"

This wasn't a piano recital.

He was sewing.

Why was she sitting like a noble lady about to watch a performance?

But—The atmosphere suddenly felt dramatic.

Gojo narrowed his eyes as he decided to just go with the flow.

"…Please wait a moment."

His tone shifted, since she is behaving like she is watching a performance then he would do just that.

He stood up and walked out of the room under the puzzle gaze of Yukino.

Less than a minutes later—

He emerged, wearing a black tuxedo. Perfectly tailored. While also holding two glasses of red juice.

"Yukino," he said softly, voice deep and exaggeratedly elegant as he passed one juice glass towards her, "for you."

He stepped forward with theatrical grace.

For a moment—Their eyes met.

Those shiny blue eyes with her sharp, icy gaze.

Looking at the affectionate eyes and beautiful eyes that would make people addicted, Yukinoshita Yukino's heart beat a little fatser as a blush appeared on her face.

But she quickly recovered her composure as she calmly accepted the glass from his hand.

"Why did you change into a tuxedo?" Yukinoshita Yukino pretended to be calm and said in a contemptuous tone, as she took a small sip of the drink, it was pomegranate juice—tangy and slightly sweet, it was good. "You're sewing clothes, not attending a ballroom. Or do you think you look handsome in a tuxedo? Personally, I think you look ridiculous."

This set of venomous tongue combos may be able to make the other person uncomfortable or self-conscious.

But—not for Gojo as he simply sip his drink before saying confidently, "I am handsome."

"Tch! Shameless." She took another sip of red wine.

Gojo chuckle as he placed his glass aside and walked back to the sewing machine without bothering to change and started sewing.

The machine buzzed came to life. As the fabric moved skillfully beneath his hands, his fingers were precise, his eyes fixed on the materials.

And Yukino who was sitting just nearby, watched carefully. Observing hand movements, stitching patterns, material layering.

Her analytical mind processed every detail.

Time passed quietly.

5:00 PM.

Ring—Riiinng—Rinng!

Suddenly a soft alarm rang from Yukino's phone.

Gojo stopped the machine, finishing today's scheduled portion of work. He stretched lightly and picked up his wine glass.

"You set an alarm this late? Don't tell me Sobu High School's Ice Queen is actually a lazy pig who wakes up at five."

"Do not project your habits onto me, Gojo-sensei."

Yukinoshita Yukino continued to speak coldly, as she swiped the phone open with her hand and turned off the alarm clock.

"I set it in advance."

"In advance?"

"Yes." She glanced at him with faint amusement. "A cute girl like me visiting a man's house alone—one must take precautions. If you suddenly became wild, I would need a timed excuse to leave."

Gojo stared at her. "…Why are you so wary of me?"

"Because I am that beautiful", Yukino said smoothly, as she put the phone back inside her pocket.

'I have seen narcissists before. But rarely one with so much confident'

He rubbed his forehead as he complain inwardly.

Yukino hid a subtle smile as she watch the expression on Gojo's face.

In truth—The alarm had nothing to do with anything at all. It was simply a reminder that she had to go home and prepare dinner.

But teasing Gojo Satoru was—Surprisingly entertaining.
