Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Encounter with the Little Puppy 2

Vivian walked along the road into Stellara Gardens, found the house where she was supposed to tutor, and after a moment of mental preparation, she pressed the doorbell.

With a "click," the door opened, revealing a particularly beautiful and friendly-looking woman who opened the door for her. Vivian took a deep breath, ready to introduce herself, when the woman immediately smiled and said, "You must be Vivian, come in, come in."

"Hello, Auntie." Vivian smiled brightly at her and greeted her politely.

"Hello, hello! Honey—Ethan's tutor is here! Ethan! Come out, your teacher is here!" Mrs. Hayes called loudly into the house while handing Vivian some slippers to change into.

Vivian changed into the slippers and followed Mrs. Hayes into the living room, sitting obediently on the sofa.

Before long, Mr. Hayes emerged from the study. He briefly froze when he saw Vivian sitting on the sofa, but he smiled and greeted her nevertheless.

The next second, however, he held back Mrs. Hayes, who was about to go to the kitchen to cut fruits, dragged her to the corner, and quietly asked, "Is this the home tutor Professor Shaw recommended to teach Ethan?"

"Yes, she's the one who ranked third in the province in this year's university admissions process and is a top student at Silverwood U." Mrs. Hayes nodded.

"But she's a girl and looks so gentle and quiet, what if Ethan doesn't listen to her and bullies her?" Mr. Hayes asked worriedly.

"What are you worried about? Others might not be able to handle Ethan, but she definitely can. Even if she can't, she won't be bullied by Ethan. Relax." Mrs. Hayes smiled mysteriously at her husband, with an air of confidence.

"Are you sure?" Mr. Hayes still seemed a bit unconvinced.

Mrs. Hayes rolled her eyes at him, leaned in, and whispered a few words in his ear. Mr. Hayes's worried expression suddenly vanished, "Okay, now I'm relieved."

"Alright, go to the living room and keep the guest company." Mrs. Hayes said with a smile, then continued to the kitchen to cut fruits.

Once Mr. Hayes felt reassured, he returned to the living room with a cheerful smile, sat down not far from Vivian, who was looking around.

Vivian quickly withdrew her gaze from the surroundings and looked at Mr. Hayes sitting next to her.

However, Mr. Hayes's eyes...

How to say it, they seemed filled with excitement and anticipation, like a three-year-old who sees their favorite panda at the zoo—their eyes sparkling, face exaggeratedly radiant, almost pointing to their face and shouting "Look, a panda!"...

Vivian felt a bit uneasy under his gaze, so she hesitantly coughed and said, "Uncle?"

"Ah? Oh... Sorry..." Mr. Hayes snapped back to reality, gave her an awkward smile, looked at the silent bedroom, frowned, stood up, and shouted in a deep voice, "Ethan, come out!! Your teacher has been waiting for a long time!"

"Coming." A low and pleasant voice slowly sounded, but the tone was full of impatience, followed by the sound of footsteps as a figure leisurely emerged.
