Chapter 80 - Beat ⁸⁰★2 Little Devils ☆

Little Devils

For a moment, silence took over. No one said a word.

Han smiled faintly and answered in a low voice,

"I think he's a good driver."

He paused briefly, then added, laughing a little awkwardly,

"Good enough not to throw us into a ditch."

Smart let out a deep breath, as if a weight had finally been lifted off his shoulders.

Jin didn't let it go that easily.

He asked Han to join them at the track.

Han came up with a bunch of random excuses just to avoid going, but nothing he said was convincing.

In the end, he found himself in the car with them, on the way to the destination.

During the ride, Smart gave Han a few signals to shut his mouth, making all sorts of gestures like a circus monkey.

Jin watched from the corner of his eye, quietly chuckling to himself.

Nothing escaped him, but he was just letting them act freely—to see how far the foolishness of these two little troublemakers would go.

They reached the destination, and the moment Smart grabbed the wheel, Han immediately remembered yesterday—how Smart had been driving like a complete maniac.

He shouted, "Guys, it's better if I get out! I want to live longer! But you go ahead—I'll watch from outside like a die-hard fan, okay?"

"Fightin', Smart!" he yelled, flinging the door open and running out as if there was a bomb in the car ready to explode and take his life!

Smart chuckled softly, shaking his head.

"A little scared baby," he whispered, then went back to his practice.

Han sat somewhere, watching Smart's little show.

He still didn't fully get what was going on.

He had just gone out for a damn coffee—and ended up with a new job.

A wave of dread hit him, and he started thinking about how to refuse it.

"No one can force me—

I can go a few days, act clueless, and then they'll get bored and fire me.

That's it," he thought, lighting a cigarette just to relax a little.

After practice was over, Smart stepped out of the car, acting completely exhausted, totally worn out.

It was like he hadn't driven a car in centuries.

Han watched him and chuckled to himself at Smart's antics.

Nothing about this made any sense!

Seriously… what is even going on with him?!

Smart sat down next to Han, smiling, and tilted his head back to look at the stars.

Right at that moment, Han took the cigarette from between his fingers and, with a smooth motion, placed it in Smart's mouth—just to tease him a little.

Jin reached out and grabbed the cigarette instantly!

He took it and put it between his own lips, locking eyes with both of them.

"So… are you planning to behave?

Or"—he paused, taking a drag from the cigarette and blowing the smoke toward them—"do I need to take action?"

He raised an eyebrow, waiting for their response.

Han looked at him, eyes widening.

"You can take action against your boyfriend, not me.

I'm still young, and I don't want my life cut short this early.

This beauty, this body, this charm—" he smiled lightly, then continued,

"Do you even realize how many girls are waiting for me out there?"

Leo had told Jin earlier that Han liked girls, but now hearing it with his own ears, he felt a little calmer.

Smart lightly tapped Han on the head.

"So… why are you acting like you're the only one being waited on?"

He said it on purpose—loud enough for Jin to hear, just to stir a little jealousy.

Jin smiled as he inhaled from the cigarette.

"My babe is starting to get a little naughty, just to tease me…" he thought, and immediately leaned toward him, grabbing him by the neck and leaning in slightly, getting close to his lips.

"What are you saying?" Jin inhaled from the cigarette again, lightly this time, keeping his eyes locked on him.

Han was staring, unwilling to look away from the moment.

Smart smiled lightly, feeling a rush of excitement inside.

Jin couldn't read that look, couldn't understand that smile!

With a swift movement, Smart pressed one hand against Han's face, turning his head so he couldn't see, while the other hand moved to Jin's throat.

Then, he blocked Jin's lips with a fiery kiss, instantly claiming that beautiful mouth.

The cigarette smoke drifted softly, slipping between their lips, carried away by that passionate kiss as if trying to escape the intensity of the moment.

Smart's heart was pounding as he savored those lips.

If only we were alone…

I'd make you lose control, make you crave me endlessly, he thought, holding Jin's gaze through that moment.

Jin was enjoying the moment like a madman, kissing with full emotion, wanting more than just a kiss.

He wanted every part of him.

His breath felt heavy in the air, weighted and strained.

His patience was running out!!

"What are you doing? I'm still here! Let me watch!" Han tried to turn his head,

but at that exact moment, another hand pressed against his face.

It was Jin's hand.

"Fuck! Now two people are blocking my view!

Ah, if only I could have seen just a little… just enough to tease Smart later, like he teased me earlier," Han muttered,

realizing there was no way out.

He tapped his feet a little, showing his frustration.

"Hey! It's 2026, people are free to watch!

It's my right! These are my eyes, and I can see whatever I want— so now, let me turn my head!" he said, but it seemed only he heard himself.

After a few moments, his head was finally free, and he started complaining—his neck hurt, and it was all their fault!

"Give me a massage! Now!!" he demanded, turning to Smart.

"Smart's hands are only for me," Jin said seriously, then looked at Smart.

"Don't you dare touch him!"

"Ok, ok, my jealous one," Smart whispered.

"Calm down!!"

"Jealous and pissed off," Han thought, and kept on complaining.

"Oh god, my neck hurts!!"

"Heh! You're gonna pay for the physiotherapy, just so you know!"

Han kept going and didn't stop until he got tired— which sometimes happened, but most likely, not.

"Ok, ok," Jin said. "Let me give you a massage"—just to scare him a little.

"Oh no, no, I'm fine now! No need!" Han said quickly, imagining the massage Jin would give him…

With the strength Jin had, one touch could probably break his neck!

"I'm thirsty," Smart said, smiling with those big, expressive eyes of his.

Jin ruffled his hair gently, then immediately headed to the car to get some water!

As soon as Jin left, Smart whispered to Han,

"How can we find a way to slip away?

We need to get over there!

Jin won't let me go if we don't come up with some excuse…"

"Hmmm—let me handle this part," Han said, thinking up some nonsense.

Smart looked at him, doubtful.

"Yeah, right… you talk, and we end up dead."

"Stop mentioning death! You're giving me goosebumps!" Han shot back immediately, nudging him lightly with his shoulder.

"What are you talking about?" Jin said, stepping closer to them.

Smart smiled and reached for the water.

Jin opened the bottle cap and brought it to Smart's lips.

"Let me drink it myself," Smart said in a half-whisper.

"Hey, Jin," Han said, his voice confident and clear.

"Can you take us home?"

Jin stayed calm and answered immediately.

"I was thinking we could start by taking you to a place that makes really good food."

The moment Han heard the word *food*, his stomach growled loudly, betraying him.

He almost wanted to take back what he had just asked.

Hunger hit him hard, but then he caught Smart's eyes—giving him that silent warning: *don't even think about it*.

Han snapped back to reality immediately.

"Ah, thanks… maybe another time," he said, chewing a little, while an inner voice screamed even louder,

"I want to eat! I'm dying!"

"Okay then—get ready to go," Jin said calmly.

Han immediately smiled and gave Smart a look, as if saying,

"See? That was easy! I did it right away."

"I'll take you, but Smart will stay with me," Jin continued.

Smart nearly choked on his water, and Han's smile faded instantly.

"Jin," he said again,

"I meant Smart too!

I've got something to do, and I need his help!"

Smart smiled awkwardly, waiting for Han's little fibs.

"Something to do? What is it?" Jin asked immediately, full of curiosity.

Neither of them spoke—just silence.

Jin watched them, their eyes shifting from one to the other.

Then, keeping a calmness he rarely showed, he said,

"I've got all the time—so I'll wait.

If you don't speak, you'll stay here until you do—okay?"

No way—damn, he's so demanding!

How is my Smart supposed to handle his power? Han thought, glancing at him.

Smart didn't say a word.

He didn't want it to look like the two of them had planned anything together,

and he definitely didn't want Jin to figure it out.

Han finally took a deep breath and spoke.

"I'm learning to be a DJ, and I need Smart to help me out!"

"A DJ?" Jin asked, surprised, unable to believe it.

He could never imagine Han as a DJ.

"Yeah, a DJ. You probably don't believe it, but I'm really good at it.

Right now, I'm taking classes at a private studio to learn even more."

Jin smiled lightly.

"And Smart can help with this?" he asked, surprised.

"Of course he can.

He actually helps me a lot, giving me unique ideas that I still don't understand where they come from

He comes up with cool ideas that don't even cross my mind

Smart is just perfect with rhythm, music, dancing…"

Jin knew very well how perfect his babe was at dancing, at rhythm— especially those sensual moves he didn't even want to remember, because jealousy would take over his mind.

The moment the word 'dancing' came up, Smart coughed lightly,

giving Han the signal to not talk any more.

Jin sensed they were just scheming something, but he'd figure it out soon enough.

*Do they really think I won't notice these two stubborn kids plotting something?* he thought, already weaving a plan to uncover it.

Until yesterday, Jin was ready to erase Han from Smart's life.

But after getting to know him today, he realized Han was harmless.

Han was all about the girls, and Jin couldn't see him as a threat.

He figured that between them there was a cute, sweet camaraderie—just like Tom and Jerry, having fun.

All the more, he needed Han to uncover everything about Smart.

He grabbed Smart's hand, pulling him closer.

"Alright then, I'll take you guys home," he said.

Smart was a little surprised at how easily Jin let him off, but he didn't show a trace of doubt.

✧ — ✧ — ✧

As soon as Smart and Han got out of the car and saw Jin drive off, they finally took a deep breath.

"What the hell!" Han shouted.

"I've never been this tense all the time!

Jin is on a whole other level…

He's just… so… so…

Ugh, where the hell did you even find a guy like that?"

He took a deep breath again.

"Damn it… I became a model without a shred of control, and it's all your fault!" he said, turning to Smart.

Smart grabbed his face immediately with both hands.

"Calm down… take a deep breath and shut your mouth!" he said firmly but gently.

"You're talking too much and not letting me think."

"What are you even thinking about?" Han asked, surprised.

Smart paced around slightly, running a hand through his hair.

"The fact that Jin let me go that easily…"

He stopped and looked straight at Han.

"Did you say anything you shouldn't have while I was in the bathroom?"

Han swallowed and rolled his eyes.

"For fuck's sake… please tell me you didn't say too much."

Hmm he asked me how we met.

Smart looked him straight in the eyes.

"And? Don't lie… talk."

"I only told him we met during a difficult moment."

Smart relaxed, murmuring,

"Uh… you scared me!! I thought the worst."

Han chewed on his words for a moment.

"In a difficult moment of your life," he continued, rolling his eyes again.

Damn it, Han—did you really have to pause in the middle of the sentence?

You little spoiled brat.

He grabbed Han's lips with his hand :

"I want to tear these lips right now!

"You said you'd shut your mouth… but what did you do!!?

You didn't shut it… you talked more than ever."

Han lowered his head, his lips slightly pouting, eyes down like he was guilty.

"I'm sorry…" he whispered through his teeth.

"I know I'm not a good friend. I'm sorry I'm not like Ren or Nela.

I'm just a mess getting in your way."

Smart looked at him and pulled him into a hug immediately.

"Oh baby… I'm sorry I was harsh."

"You don't have to compare yourself to anyone.

You're unique just the way you are."

"It was my fault for leaving you alone—especially knowing Jin.

He never misses a chance."

A few seconds passed, and Smart asked again,

"Couldn't you think of anything else to say?"

"I didn't lie 100%… and you know that," Han whispered softly, sadness in his voice.

"I really am a DJ. Well… I was taking lessons. I just left it halfway."

Being a DJ was his biggest dream — one he still hadn't managed to turn into reality.

He hoped that one day he'd become a known DJ… someone with a name, with real fans.

"Yeah, okay… but Jin is going to find out anyway. I just hope he doesn't find out too soon."

"What are we doing tonight? Are we going to work?" Han asked softly, his head resting against Smart's chest.

Smart stayed silent for a few moments, thinking too much.

But he didn't really have another choice.

The fact that Jin let him go so easily made him feel stressed… suspicious.

Even though he had changed his work shift on purpose to throw him off track, he still felt uneasy.

An empty feeling… hollow.

After a long moment of overthinking, he gathered his strength and spoke out loud.

"At the end of the day, it's my life. I can't keep feeling uncomfortable all the time.

So let's go upstairs and get ready."

"Bravo. That's my Smart," Han said with a grin, pulling him by the arm.

They entered the apartment carefully, trying not to make a sound and wake the little monster.

Smart opened the door and saw Zoi sleeping like a tiny lamb, with Nela next to her.

He smiled softly at the sight of them together.

Just as he was about to close the door, a small, sleepy voice rang out.

"Smart… I love you so much."

Smart smiled and leaned closer.

"I love you too, Puffi. Now, go to sleep."

He kissed her on the forehead and quietly slipped out of the room.

Meanwhile, Han was wandering around the apartment like he was completely alone, his head somehow ending up in the fridge.

Smart gave him a light smack on the back of the neck, and Han immediately started complaining.

"Shhh… I told you not to make a sound," Smart said, making a gentle shushing gesture with his finger.

"Okay, okay… let me eat first, I'm starving here!" Han whispered.

"We could have been at a fancy restaurant right now, trying all sorts of dishes.

Ugh… I feel so sad just thinking about it."

Smart just chuckled, shaking his head. Then, noticing the bike keys on the table, he spoke again.

"Shall we take Nela's bike and head to work?"

"Okay," Han replied, giving a thumbs-up.

After Smart took a shower, he handed Han a towel and some of his own clothes so he could get ready.

Once Han was ready, Smart grabbed the bike keys, and they headed downstairs immediately.

✧ — ✧ — ✧

Jin was standing in his lounge, a glass of alcohol in hand, staring past the wall of windows at the city's beautiful reflection.

He kept glancing at his phone, as if waiting impatiently for a message — and finally, it came.

✧ *Info: HAN**

Han had taken a DJ course some time ago, but for unknown reasons, he had stopped.

Currently, he was working as a waiter at Light.✧

Jin read the message and smiled softly, whispering to himself,

"No matter how hard you tried to lie, you still went for the truth.

You're perfect for gathering the info I need.

I'll have to keep you close," he murmured, a slightly mischievous smile appearing on his lips.

He grabbed the car keys and took off immediately!

While driving, he called Leo.

📞 "Hey, what are you up to?" Leo's voice came through, calm and low.

📞 "Heading to Light."

📞 "Today?" Leo asked, surprised.

📞 "Yeah, today! Those two little mischiefs think they're playing me!

I'm pretty sure they even changed their schedule," Jin said, glancing at the time.

📞 "Both of them?" Leo asked, raising an eyebrow.

📞 "Yeah, him and Han.

I ran into Han today!

They teamed up, thinking they tricked me!

Honestly… it was kind of amusing," Jin chuckled softly, though a hint of irritation lingered in his voice.

📞 "Hahaha… I'm amazed at how you held back. Can't believe it.

But still… do you really need to go?" Leo asked softly, glancing at Ren to make sure he didn't wake him.

📞 "You know exactly what happened last time, right?" Jin referred to the guy who had touched his Smart.

📞 "Yeah… I know. But be careful, don't do anything reckless.

Sorry I couldn't come with you," Leo said, smiling lightly as he gently ruffled Ren's hair.

📞 "Yeah, I know. That's why I called—to check on Ren."

📞 "He hasn't woken up at all. He's been asleep since I gave him the meds.

Damn… he looks so cute when he's sleeping!" Leo said, giving him a gentle kiss on the lips.

The sound of the kiss immediately caught Jin's attention.

📞 "You jerk… kissing him now?

What if instead of a kiss, you gave him something else?" Jin teased, laughing.

Leo didn't answer—he just stayed silent, keeping his eyes on Ren.

Jin parked somewhere out of sight, and in that moment, he spotted Smart on a bike.

📞 "Fuck!" he shouted.

📞 "What's wrong?" Leo asked.

📞 "Smart showed up on a bike…

Seriously, where is he trying to drive me crazy?" Jin grumbled,

"But damn… why does he look so damn sexy?"

From the phone, Leo could hear him chuckle softly.

📞 "What's so funny?" Jin yelled.

📞 "Don't yell! What are you doing… you'll wake Ren," Leo said, and immediately hung up on him.

He lay down gently and pulled Ren close, resting his head on his chest.

He wrapped his arms around him, letting him feel the warmth of his body.

In that moment, Ren's eyes fluttered open, still half-asleep.

Even in his drowsy state, he caught bits of the conversation but couldn't make sense of it.

What kind of crazy plan were they talking about?

Where was my Leo supposed to be with Jin?

Damn… maybe my baby's involved in something dangerous and not telling me, he thought.

Soon after, he drifted back to sleep, as if he were dead to the world.

✧ — ✧ — ✧

Smart and Han hopped off the bike and immediately stepped into Light.

As soon as they got ready, they dove straight into work.

The pub was, as always, loud and buzzing—but with a cool vibe.

The DJ was spinning hip-hop, and people were dancing, drinks in hand, moving to the beat.

Smart had tilted a cap low over his head, trying to stay under the radar, while his eyes constantly scanned the room, feeling Jin might be around.

It was just a gut feeling—one he couldn't explain.

And he was right.

Jin was dressed, as always, in black: a cap, dark sunglasses, a hoodie, and sweatpants, perfectly at ease in his zone and watching everything from above.

Seated at his table, a drink and a cigarette in hand, he observed Smart's every move.

"Soon, you'll erase this damn work from your mind," he whispered to himself.

In that moment, Jin wanted nothing more than to appear before him and drag him home, but his hands were tied for now.

He knew the right time to do it would only come once Smart was madly in love with him.

Once Smart was completely his, then he could have full control over him.

He could barely wait for that moment, and until it came, he had to hold himself back and stay silent.

He needed to keep his babe safe from afar, so no one could try to hurt him like last time.

Anyone who dared would face Jin's fierce nature.

Jin could hire anyone to watch over Smart from a distance, but it wasn't the same.

He wanted him right in front of his eyes.

The night came to an end, and Smart felt a bit relieved that everything had gone smoothly.

In his mind, he imagined Jin appearing right in front of him at any moment.

Smart hopped on the bike, and Han climbed on behind him.

"Let's get you home now," he said, revving the engine.

From a short distance, Jin watched as the bike quickly disappeared into the darkness.

Once he was sure the boys were on their way home, Jin headed to his own apartment.

The night ended quietly, leaving the hours to drift through the darkness.
