"Yes? The market where you sell illegal and stolen goods?"
"I see…"
"Separate the stolen carcasses you gathered from my camp."
Huo Jian did so, separating everything.
"Good. Now quietly watch."
Wu Zhe suddenly meditated, absorbing the life force from the many carcasses before him.
Huo Jian's eyes widened in amazement as he watched the Qi flow. His heart pounded as he saw Wu Zhe draw the life force from the creatures. Then he froze, staring at the decayed corpses.
"Wh—what?! My carcasses!" he shouted, grabbing one of the decayed remains.
Wu Zhe felt the internal injuries inside him healing as he circulated lifeforce through his body. As the paining feeling fading, as it healed he stood up, his gaze settling on Huo Jian.
"That's your price for stealing from me. But don't worry. Since you've joined me, you won't need these things anyway."
"But! I needed them to buy cultivation manuals!" he shouted.
Wu Zhe let out a slight chuckle.
