It wasn't just Kang the Conqueror; even Playboy himself felt confident he could go toe-to-toe with Thanos.
If the diary's claims were true—that every Kang could suppress the power of the Infinity Stones like Kang the Conqueror—then Thanos and Kang the Conqueror were truly on different levels.
Not to mention that the Kangs' technology originated from the 31st century.
The 31st century!
*Good heavens.*
Even Tony couldn't help but marvel inwardly.
*That bastard Kang has already traveled over a thousand years into the future? Or perhaps he was simply born in the 31st century!*
Either way, it was an undeniable fact that Kang the Conqueror's technological prowess was a thousand years ahead of everyone else.
In the realm of science, a thousand years was an unfathomably long time.
Just look at the Industrial Revolutions—that was proof enough.
In just a few decades, science and technology had made such tremendous leaps, profoundly transforming human life.
Or consider Big Tony's Iron Man Armor.
It had only been six years since Big Tony was kidnapped in that Afghan cave, and he had already updated to the Mark 46.
Over the terrifying span of a thousand years, the development of science and technology would reach an unimaginable level.
A level that made the Playboy's scalp tingle just thinking about it.
At that moment, Tony finally understood why Kang the Conqueror was such a multiversal-level supervillain.
The man possessed an information technology advantage that no one else had!
Of course, this only applies to Universe 199999. The situation might be different in other universes.
After all, to be honest, the Thanos of Universe 199999 is actually the weakest version of Thanos.
In many parallel universes, Thanos has far more powerful iterations.
Take Cosmic Heart Thanos, for example. Isn't that undoubtedly Thanos's strongest form?
This is completely on the level of the One-Above-All.
The Five Cosmic Entities were like ants before Cosmic Heart Thanos—a complete joke.
Even the Living Tribunal was instantly killed by Cosmic Heart Thanos.
He's simply too powerful to be defeated.
I wonder if the Heart of the Universe exists in Universe 199999...
Tony didn't know what to say.
In the original timeline, Thanos, who commanded the most massive interstellar force known, brought the Avengers their ultimate nightmare and successfully wiped out half of all life in the universe.
To everyone, he was like a great demon king.
Although, thanks to the diary's spoilers, the Avengers have now gathered all the Infinity Stones except the Time Stone at Kamar-Taj.
Thanos can no longer obtain any more stones.
Yet even so, no one dared to let their guard down.
After all, even without the Infinity Stones, Thanos still commanded a terrifying fleet.
Asgard itself didn't dare underestimate him; they lacked the confidence to defeat him without the stones and were prepared to use them as a last resort.
Yet, even this Thanos, the weakest among countless parallel universes, was still... the weakest?
The Playboy couldn't help but want to ask the diary's owner: if even the weakest was this formidable, what must the strongest be like?
Could they have ascended to godhood?
"Cosmic Heart Thanos!"
Nick Fury, standing before another diary, immediately locked onto the phrase "Cosmic Heart."
This was the first time the diary had mentioned this term, so Baldy had no idea what the "Heart of the Universe" was.
But given the name, it seemed obvious: the very heart of the universe itself.
The name alone left no doubt that the Heart of the Universe must be something truly extraordinary.
And the facts proved this.
The Cosmic Heart Thanos was so terrifyingly powerful that he could rival the One-Above-All.
Wasn't that just too absurd?
The diary had mentioned the One-Above-All before.
Though the descriptions were sparse, everyone still had no idea what this entity truly was.
But the journal had already been stamped—a mark of the One-Above-All, the true supreme being of the Marvel Universe.
This evaluation couldn't be called high; it was utterly outrageous.
When the Avengers discussed the journal's contents, they generally considered the One-Above-All to be the strongest entity in the Marvel Universe.
And below the One-Above-All?
Naturally, the Living Tribunal came next, followed by the Five Cosmic Entities.
These were all ceiling-level beings, towering and unattainable for the current Avengers.
They were entities the Avengers would likely never touch in their lifetimes.
Yet the Thanos from another universe, after obtaining the Heart of the Universe, had actually become comparable to the One-Above-All.
*Holy shit.*
Even Nick Fury couldn't help but exclaim, "Holy shit," genuinely shocked.
So, what kind of entity was a One-Above-All level being?
The journal provided the answer.
The Five Cosmic Entities were mere ants before him!
What level of existence were the Five Cosmic Entities?
Consider Eternity, who could grant God Butcher Gorr's wish to erase all gods from the universe.
The Avengers knew little about the other four Cosmic Entities, except for Galactus.
But since they were grouped with Eternity as the Five Cosmic Entities, they must have been of similar stature.
To Cosmic Heart Thanos, they were merely ants!
And the Living Tribunal, a being superior to the Five Cosmic Entities?
It was instantly annihilated by Cosmic Heart Thanos!
*Hiss!*
*Is this Thanos's ultimate form?*
*Is this the power of the One-Above-All?*
This terrifying and awe-inspiring power even made someone of Nick Fury's caliber unable to remain composed.
He could only secretly rejoice that this level of Thanos wasn't from his own universe.
Amidst this relief, another question loomed large in Baldy's mind.
Just as the diary had mentioned:
*Does the Heart of the Universe truly exist in Universe 199999, or in my own universe?*
Baldy desperately wanted an answer.
Yet he knew that, apart from Satan, the diary's owner, no one else could possibly know.
After all, Baldy had once asked Thor about the Five Cosmic Entities, the Living Tribunal, and the One-Above-All.
Thor had only heard legends of the Five Cosmic Entities, and knew nothing of the Living Tribunal or the One-Above-All.
According to him, even Odin was unaware of their existence.
If even a being of Odin's stature was ignorant, Nick Fury held no hope of finding answers within his own universe.
Of course, that was before.
Now, Nick Fury had another channel he could use: asking his Other-Dimensional contact, Clark Kent.
The only problem was that communicating with Clark was like squeezing toothpaste from a tube—painfully slow and limited.
This was a matter clearly beyond the Avengers' level of understanding. Was it worth wasting precious words on it?
After a quick mental review, Baldy refocused his attention on the diary in his mind, waiting for the next wave of spoilers.
But several minutes passed without any new entries appearing.
With a decisive thought, Fury abruptly closed the diary.
Leaning back in his chair, he quickly summarized the latest batch of spoilers.
Baldy then summoned Coulson, whom he had just dismissed, back to his office.
"Sir, what is it?"
Coulson hadn't left; he'd been waiting in the lounge.
Having seen the diary update, Baldy had anticipated giving Coulson another assignment. He'd only "kicked him out" of the conference room, not allowed him to leave S.H.I.E.L.D.
The loyal agent immediately approached when summoned.
"The Clandestine Family. They're a family from another universe."
"This family should possess some kind of superpower."
"Also, one of their members is named 'Najima'."
Nick Fury wasted no time in relaying the details of the investigation to Coulson.
"Clandestine"—this was likely a surname.
Coupled with a specific name like Najima, the investigation shouldn't be too difficult.
These were all concrete leads.
"Understood, Director," Coulson replied without question, accepting the mission. "Any other orders?"
"The Noor Veil."
Under Coulson's gaze, Fury continued, "This is a portal that connects to a parallel universe called the Noor Dimension."
"The Clandestine Family has been trying to pass through the Noor Veil to return to their homeland—the Noor Dimension."
"To achieve this, they've set their sights on Ms. Marvel's Quantum Bands."
"And that's something we need to prevent."
This was a significant amount of information to process.
After a long moment of digestion, Coulson finally asked, "Do you have any more detailed information about the Noor Dimension or the Noor Veil?"
Just two names alone would make the investigation quite challenging.
"That's for you to figure out."
Nick Fury, as usual, began "passing the buck."
"Understood, Director," Coulson, ever the loyal subordinate, replied without further comment.
Next, Fury ordered Coulson to investigate TVA employees such as OB, Mobius, and Ravonna.
Though Fury suspected Tony might have already taken care of this, the proper orders still needed to be issued.
"Oh, right."
Just as he was about to dismiss Coulson after issuing all the necessary orders, Fury suddenly remembered something else.
"Keep a close eye on Peter Parker!"
While Peter Parker had been reassuring as a normal student, his post-superpower existence was truly terrifying.
Even Fury felt somewhat shaken.
Satan had been right—he was indeed a super-powered little brat!
Coulson took the orders and left to faithfully carry out his boss's various tasks.
The first task was, without a doubt, to assign personnel to investigate Pangborn, who had been in contact with Strange.
The result, however, was predictable.
Despite Coulson's all-out efforts, no information could be obtained from Pangborn.
After all, the Ancient One had tampered with Pangborn's memories.
But that wasn't the most frustrating part for Coulson.
The most frustrating part was that at that very moment, Coulson also received a report from his subordinates: Strange had been lost.
"How could you lose him?"
"How could this happen?"
Coulson's brow furrowed instantly as he demanded an explanation from his subordinates over the comms channel.
Strange was just an ordinary person.
To be precise, he was a broken man, crushed by a devastating blow, his spirit so withered that he wouldn't notice anything.
*This kind of person...* Coulson thought, *even a random person grabbed off the street could track him without issues. Let alone a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.*
Yet, Strange had somehow slipped away.
"Search. Investigate with all your might."
"Where was Strange last seen?"
"Check every camera along the route, interview every potential witness, look for taxis and buses from that time, and examine his phone records... Don't miss anything."
"Dig three feet down if you have to! Find him!"
Coulson barked out a series of furious orders.
His S.H.I.E.L.D. agents sprang into action, deploying every skill they'd honed throughout their careers in the desperate search for Strange.
However...
There was no trace.
Strange had simply vanished, leaving no clues behind.
"Stand down," Nick Fury told Coulson after some deliberation.
With his experience, Fury had sensed something was amiss.
From Pangborn to Strange, everything felt wrong.
People of this caliber should have been puppets in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands.
Yet S.H.I.E.L.D. had failed in every attempt, and the failures had been disastrous.
Fury knew something was up. An invisible hand must be pulling the strings.
Considering how his investigations into Kamar-Taj had yielded nothing for years, Fury finally understood.
Kamar-Taj had struck again!
They had erased every trace that could have exposed them!
This time, however, Fury hadn't come away entirely empty-handed.
At least he could be sure that Strange had indeed gone to Kamar-Taj this time!
The Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, was about to make his debut!
Nick Fury's suspicions had been correct.
In reality, when Strange mysteriously disappeared from under the noses of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, he had done nothing extraordinary.
He simply bought a plane ticket to Kathmandu and embarked on his journey there. That was all.
After a long and arduous journey, Strange finally arrived at the place he had pinned all his hopes on.
"Hello, do you know Kamar-Taj?"
"Excuse me, where is Kamar-Taj located?"
Looking like a beggar, Strange began to painstakingly inquire about Kamar-Taj.
However, due to the language barrier, he struggled to get any useful information.
He was even beaten up by a group of thugs who stole his watch.
Fortunately, at this critical moment, the "benefactor" destined to appear in Strange's life finally arrived.
