Chapter 280 - Earth-Shattering Truth: The Multiversal War Has Already Exploded!

*Whoosh!*

In just a moment, Jarvis had the results.

A profile of the corresponding individual appeared before the Playboy.

Tony glanced at it and saw an utterly ordinary-looking man. His nose bore a prominent scar, evidence of a past injury. Beyond that, there was nothing remarkable.

Not only was his appearance unremarkable, but his life history was equally unremarkable.

In a single sentence, he was an ordinary person living an ordinary life, with no connection to any supernatural events.

This made Tony genuinely curious.

How could such a man become a Time Variant?

How could he be apprehended by the TVA?

Tony couldn't quite make sense of it.

"Sir, should we keep an eye on him?" Jarvis's voice chimed in, seeking the Playboy's opinion.

"Keep an eye on him," Tony replied.

Though he knew this was likely a wild goose chase with no chance of success, the Playboy still made the decision. After all, this was currently the only known opportunity to make contact with the TVA.

"Also, check for any novelists, pen names, studios, or related names that could be abbreviated as OB."

After a pause, Tony gave the command to Jarvis again.

*Whoosh!*

Jarvis quickly projected the relevant information before Playboy.

It was a middle-aged Asian man in his late thirties or early forties named Ouroboros, a down-on-his-luck science fiction novelist.

Or rather, a former science fiction novelist.

He had since changed careers and was now a university lecturer.

*It seems writing novels is a dead end after all. He couldn't make it.*

Tony also specifically checked for any scientific achievements, but found none.

Like Mobius, who sold motorboats and yachts, this man was utterly unremarkable.

Despite this, Tony still ordered Jarvis to keep an eye on Ouroboros.

After all, he was also a Time Variant.

Next was Judge Ravonna.

Investigating her proved more difficult than OB and Mobius.

The TVA employees' roles within the organization differed significantly from their original professions.

Within the TVA, Ravonna served as a judge. But what about her life outside the TVA?

The Playboy, of course, remained unaware of all this.

Yet, she was also a Chief Engineer, a secret agent, and an Archmage.

Tony's understanding of the TVA's internal structure deepened.

It was clear that, as he had suspected, the TVA's vast system operated by referencing the functional frameworks of modern society.

*How down-to-earth.*

*Did He Who Remains utterly betray Ravonna?*

*During the Multiversal War between He Who Remains and the other Kangs, she helped He Who Remains achieve victory.*

*And she even helped him establish the TVA.*

*They were supposed to rule the TVA together, but He Who Remains erased her memories and continued to use her as his loyal servant.*

*After He Who Remains was killed, Ravonna tried to seize power but failed in her battle against Loki and the others.*

*In the end, she was reset to the End of Time, where the monstrous Alioth still awaited her.*

*What a tragic figure.*

Before the Diary, Tony's appetite for knowledge was completely whetted.

He never would have imagined that this Judge Ravonna, whom he hadn't paid much attention to before, was such an extraordinary figure.

To have actually helped He Who Remains secure victory during the Multiversal War was no ordinary feat for a judge.

This meant Ravonna either possessed exceptional military command skills or was herself an extraordinarily powerful individual.

In any case, she was undeniably a formidable figure of cosmic significance.

Though the Diary offered few details on this matter, the scale and scope of the Multiversal War spoke volumes.

And this was a war between Kangs, no less!

The tier of beings Kang occupied needed no further explanation.

Without a doubt, Ravonna was no ordinary person.

The Playboy was genuinely curious about who this Ravonna truly was in real life. He once again instructed Jarvis to search all records of individuals named Ravonna, looking for any matches that fit the criteria.

But unfortunately, the results were disappointing.

"Sir, all Ravonnas are ordinary people, working in ordinary jobs. We haven't found any targets of interest for the moment."

Jarvis replied.

Tony felt a slight disappointment but wasn't particularly surprised.

He shrugged, deciding to abandon the search for now.

*After all,* he thought, *how could an organization like the TVA be so easily uncovered?*

The Playboy temporarily shifted his attention back to the Diary.

He had long known that He Who Remains had established the TVA to prevent his other variants from wreaking havoc across the Multiverse.

But Tony hadn't realized that Kang's variants had already plunged the Multiverse into chaos once before.

The war between Kang's variants and He Who Remains had directly triggered the Multiversal War!

Kang and his variants were truly a boundless threat, a devastating menace to the entire Multiverse.

Tony grew increasingly certain of this.

It seemed the TVA was precisely a product of that long-forgotten Multiversal War.

The Playboy gained a more detailed and accurate understanding of the TVA's history.

As for Ravonna, He Who Remains' loyal assistant, Tony felt profound sympathy.

The diary was right—she truly had a tragic fate.

Betrayed by He Who Remains, she ultimately met a miserable end, devoured by Alioth.

Amidst these reflections, He Who Remains' true nature was laid bare before the Playboy.

This man was truly no good.

"So this is the End of Time!"

Nick Fury, standing before another diary, wore a look of sudden realization.

The End of Time diary had been mentioned several times.

This seemed to be a crucial location within the TVA, resembling a kind of junkyard.

Even the severed head of the Living Tribunal was stored there.

But the Diary never provided a concrete answer to what this place actually was.

Until now.

So, this was where all the Time Variants reset by the TVA were sent?

This confirmed the long-held theories of the Diary keepers: the End of Time was indeed a physical location.

More precisely, it was a place where the colossal monster Alioth resided!

The so-called "reset" was actually the process of transferring everything on the timeline branch that needed to be eliminated to the End of Time, and then letting Alioth devour it.

This was the truth behind the End of Time.

This was the truth behind the reset!

Finally, the core and most crucial mystery of the TVA was resolved in the minds of the Diary keepers.

Beyond this, there was a profound warning.

The matter of Lady Loki killing He Who Remains and causing the Sacred Timeline to collapse could temporarily be set aside.

After all, Loki had already resolved this chaos.

She sacrificed herself to clean up this mess.

But the Ant-Man family's defeat of Quantum Kang within the Quantum Realm, and the subsequent alarm raised within the Kang Council, was truly unsettling.

The Kang Council had been alerted.

Would those Kangs, just as they had done many years ago, once again ignite a Multiversal War?

It was a terrifying thought.

From this perspective, He Who Remains was no match for Quantum Kang.

At the very least, after Janet helped him repair the Quantum Time Machine, Quantum Kang genuinely intended to fulfill his promise to her.

He truly planned to take Janet out of the Quantum Realm, without any intention of abandoning her after using her.

It was only when Janet accidentally witnessed Quantum Kang's memories of destroying countless parallel universes that she actively destroyed the time machine she had just repaired, leading to their falling out.

That's how Quantum Kang became trapped in the Quantum Realm.

Still, one must admit that the technology Quantum Kang possessed was truly terrifying.

He managed to conquer the Quantum Realm in such a short amount of time.

If it weren't for the fact that time operates under its own rules within the Quantum Realm, nullifying Quantum Kang's ability to control time, who could have ever killed him?

"So this is the story between Wasp and 'Quantum Kang'?"

The Playboy shrugged slightly, a hint of wonder in his voice.

According to the Diary, Tony had long known that the relationship between the First Wasp, Janet, and Quantum Kang had shifted from friendly to hostile.

Janet had initially helped Quantum Kang repair his Time Machine, but they later fell out. This forced her to constantly evade Quantum Kang's pursuit within the Quantum Realm.

The Diary never elaborated on the specifics of their falling out, leaving the Playboy and the others unable to deduce the truth.

Until now, the Diary had finally provided the answer.

So, Quantum Kang had once made such a promise to Janet?

To help her escape the Quantum Realm!

Could this be why Janet helped Quantum Kang repair the Time Machine?

Because Janet also needed to use the Quantum Time Machine to escape the Quantum Realm.

According to the Diary, Janet destroyed Quantum Kang's ship and broke ties with him only after accidentally glimpsing his memories.

This implies that Janet was unaware of Quantum Kang's true identity when they were "collaborating."

This logic holds up.

After all, without the Diary's spoilers, how else would Tony and the others have even known about Kang's existence?

As for Quantum Kang's destruction of countless parallel universes, Playboy wasn't surprised.

The Diary had mentioned this long ago.

Quantum Kang and He Who Remains were essentially doing the same thing: pruning timelines to prevent the Multiverse from colliding.

Quantum Kang's methods just appeared more brutal and extreme than He Who Remains's.

However, whether intentionally or not, Quantum Kang chose to conceal this from Janet, which allowed their collaboration to form.

The real mystery remains: how did Janet accidentally glimpse Quantum Kang's memories?

The very idea of someone being able to see another person's memories is astonishing enough. To do so *unintentionally* is even more incredible.

So what exactly did Janet do?

How could she "accidentally" spy on someone's memories?

Regardless of how she managed it, Janet proved herself to be no ordinary individual. She not only repaired the Quantum Time Machine but also peered into Quantum Kang's memories.

She truly lived up to her reputation as the First Wasp.

Of course, Quantum Kang was no less remarkable.

The Diary had long since mentioned that he was exiled to the Quantum Realm by the Kang Council. This meant he started with nothing there.

Yet this "outsider" managed to conquer the entire Quantum Realm from scratch. That was no small feat for any ordinary person.

Then there was the matter of Ant-Man and the others killing Quantum Kang.

Especially the ludicrous way Quantum Kang was defeated by a swarm of ants.

This had severely diminished Quantum Kang's standing in Tony's eyes.

But now, the Playboy realized he had underestimated Quantum Kang.

It turned out that in the Quantum Realm, Quantum Kang's ultimate move—time manipulation—had been suppressed!

It was as if his wings had been clipped!

That's how Ant-Man and his allies got lucky.

Otherwise, they would never have been able to defeat Quantum Kang.

After all, controlling time is an overpowered cheat that's too broken for most people to handle—it's a game-breaking, crushing advantage.

So, Kang, as Marvel's next supervillain after Thanos, does have some tricks up his sleeve.

True, he's just a human with no real combat prowess, nowhere near the level of Thanos, who comes from the Eternals.

But Kang's technology is truly astounding.

Without the Infinity Stones—specifically, without the Time Stone—Thanos would stand no chance against Kang.

Even with the Time Stone, it might not be enough.

After all, Kang's technology comes from the 31st century and can even suppress the Infinity Stones.

It's like He Who Remains.

This short spoiler from Zhou Cheng's diary compared Kang and Thanos, two supervillains.

The conclusion was fairly obvious: Zhou Cheng believed Thanos couldn't compare to Kang.

The Playboy was inclined to agree.

Indeed.

Tony couldn't possibly know more about Kang's specific capabilities or the extent of his technological prowess than the diary's author.

But even setting aside all that, the fact that Kang could suppress the power of the Infinity Stones was enough to settle the matter.

As for Thanos, the diary had spoiled countless details about him, and Tony had also learned a great deal from Thor.

Therefore, Tony could confidently state that without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos was nothing more than a joke!
