Chapter 171 - Setting out

"How do you know? I've never fought Akainu." he asked confused.

"Not this version of you but I've seen another who did, who died to that magma." I explained honestly.

"There's only one me and that's me!" he said firmly.

"It's not that simple. Look i'm not going to try and explain multiverse theory to you. The old man knows what i'm talking about so when I say I've seen a version of you die because of the suppression effect that magma fruit had on your flames I bloody well mean it. Whether you take my advice and work on it or not is on you, I did my part just making you aware of it." I said flatly.

With that done I headed for Whitebeard who was like always relaxing on his chair in the center of the massive ships deck. The Moby dick was a ridiculously large ship if i'm being honest. It was so massive that it rivals the leisure cruisers from Earth but somehow almost entirely made of wood. Even when you consider Whitebeards massive size the ship was ridiculously large.-

I suppose I couldn't blame the man for having it made though as it was only thanks to it's size the entire crew fit on it mostly comfortably.

"Had a good rest brat?" the big man asked with a grin as I walked up.

"Can't complain, need my original bandages back but otherwise just fine." I said with a shrug.

"Gurarara! I told Marco you were fine but he insisted." he said with a fond helpless tone.

"He's a doctor, it's his job to worry about injuries. Recovered or otherwise." I said not really bothered.

He nodded and grabbed a rolled up paper that he tossed to me alongside a thing that looked like half an hourglass but had a compass looking magnetic pointer in the center instead of sand. I opened the paper and saw it was a map of a good deal of the grand line.

"Don't know why you are giving me a log pose or map for. You just need to hand over a vivre card and point me in the direction of the calm belt for the sea king hunt." I said a little confused.

"That's an eternal pose. Points to Thunderhead island. Place is uninhabited because of the massive lightning storm that stays there year round but for you that's probably the best place for you to train your fruit. The map is so you can reach other islands if you need to." He said calmly.

"I was hoping to train my haki. My fruit I can train without much trouble if i'm careful in my world but haki needs conflict for quick growth." I said with a frown.

"What about awakening?" he asked calmly.

I laughed and shook my head "I appreciate the vote of confidence but i'm nowhere NEAR ready to even attempt awakening my fruit. Most of what you saw before was because I had my spear amplifying my powers, not my own mastery allowing it." I said honestly.

"Must be a pretty good weapon if it can do that." he said surprised.

"Would be roughly the same level as one of this worlds Supreme grade blades by my reckoning." I said proudly.

"You sure a little fellow like you should be walking around with such a treasure?" he asked seriously.

"My world isn't like this one, while here there's plenty of people that could threaten me in my world that number is considerably smaller. A handful at most I'd reckon really." I said with a shrug.

"Can't say I can imagine it, this worlds all I know." he said with a chuckle.

"You can take this stuff back and hand me a vivre card before pointing me towards the calm belt. I'd like to get the hunt over with quickly so I can focus on my haki for the rest of my time here" I said holding the stuff up to give it back to him.

"Keep it, might be useful later." he said pushing the stuff back towards me.

He then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a light tan piece of paper that had been torn many times and pinched off a piece before handing it over. Afterwards he pointed out my direction and I was off just like that. If there was one thing this world had that neither mine or the Cyberpunk world had it was an unpolluted world. Earth even in my time period was not exactly clean, especially if you got near the cities. This place didn't really have that problem as far as I could tell. The air was thick and clean and the water pure in most places.-

As I shot across the sky as a flicker of lightning moving between clouds I could only marvel at it. That said it was a bit annoying that it seemed Whitebeard hadn't taken my suggestion and sailed close to the calm belt as even at my speed it took me a good few minutes to reach the red line. Sure I technically overshot it but the calm belt was always right next to the grand line in a place with no wind, it wasn't hard to find.
