I can't believe it, the world record was just broken. I was going to try to stop their 3rd leg from running by blocking her. Which I admit is sketchy and in between the rules, but I have no choice. We couldn't allow them to get any further ahead in this race. That's when I felt it was a killer presence that said," Come closer I can kill you."
I backed away in fear and so did everyone else thinking the same as me. She ran and the pressure of death went away with her. There I could only wait, as everyone else was only three-quarters done with the race. Finally, Diver arrived after some time, and she was smirking like she was in first place. I then hear her say," Girl run!"
I did just that knowing we were behind already. I didn't even have time to yell at her smug dumbass face. I ran and ran knowing I wasn't even going to catch up to her. I went as fast as I could until I finally arrived seeing her at the finish line. This gave me hope that I was fast enough and she was slow enough for us to have a chance to catch up.
I handed my teammate Pearl Gate the baton as she ran as fast as she could. She never gave up, that girl, that's why she's the best in the team. I soon looked at my opponent earlier. The presence was different and not deadly like before. I got a look at her eyes, and they were different and confused.
She looked like she didn't even know where she was. I then tell her," Hey get off the field you're done running today right?" She then graciously responded," Oh that's right, thank you I shall be headed to my team." She soon left, what a weirdo. I soon got off the track knowing at least I did my best.
Great Wonder..? POV
Finally, I'm back it's been months since I've been betrayed by my own sister. I still remember it that day I was given a group of people to kill. All either had wronged the family or were set up here by allies of the family. This was something my sister Nightmare End does. She holds gatherings and the next thing anyone knows those people are dead.
The process only she and her mother knew. I came in assigned to kill everyone at that karaoke party. After all the unnecessary people left it was time. I entered and the door locked behind me. That's when my senses felt something was wrong. I looked and saw everyone passing out around me.
I soon realized it was high-grade poisonous gas. I tried breaking out but there were no windows, the door was reinforced with Uma Musume-proof metal and so were the walls, floor, and ceiling. I also soon realized that anything I could use to save myself was removed from the room. My sister has always been thorough as she probably has enough gas knowing how long I could hold my breath. She even made sure I was exhausted after days of constant missions, " You win this round you bitch but I swear I'll get you back in this world or the next.
Everything soon went black, but it didn't stay that way. I soon awoke in a clear field thinking if that was heaven. There I saw a four-legged creature I've never seen in my life, but felt closer to than anything else. I soon felt the breeze on my head and heard the wind at the side of my head instead of on top like other Uma Musume. I soon touched my head and my ears on top were gone and I had ears on the side instead like a human woman.
That's when a letter flew in front of my face and I grabbed it. I opened the letter and it read," Dear Great Wonder, you might be confused about your circumstances. You seem to have died in the real world and what you see before you is the inside of your inner plane. You and the horse or Uma over there are what's left of the soul I and the three goddesses have rescued. Now to make sure you survive I must fuse your soul with another's creating one new person."
What the fuck, this was insane but it explains so much. I soon continued reading," The person you're fusing with's file is right behind this paper. Both your abilities will fuse together and create a stronger version of you. I will make sure you both meet in the future as she will not know you exist at all and that you are still in your body as she controls it. Now get to know the horse beside you well cause you're going to be together for a while."
I look at the horse grazing beside me and he looked nice I soon kept reading," The horse there was the original Great Wonder before fusing with you and creating who you were. Plus he's the source of most of your power so be nice. Next up I have left a magic screen there so you can experience what your new self does in first and third person. I soon went to look for the magic screen as the horse followed me. We soon found it and there I watched as the author transformed and safely got the other worlds out of the Karaoke room and into a safe area. Then practically deleted all data of their existence online by tricking my family into believing they were dead and to follow procedures. I soon looked at the newbie's profile and saw she was a great school and marathon athlete but her body was destroyed by time and childbirth. Still, I must admit her teamwork skills, intellect, and patience are great, but seeing the others go from being the strongest in the room to the athletically weakest hurts my pride.
Time passed and many things have happened. We met a lot of people especially Iguro that delicious-looking treat, and many things have happened. I made friends with the horse I call Wonder, and decided the girl will be called GW as I will be the only one to keep the name Great Wonder. Good news I have also learned to take control of the body as the author and the gods did not expect, but are surprisingly on board with, bad news everyone in the team and organization has noticed. They don't exactly know what's happening, but they're at least smart enough to be cautious about it. Working with them all and then even fighting them I intimately learned about them.
I respect a lot of them Vic is an adaptive and caring leader who's cautious and humble. Mama is caring, goal-oriented, and fast, while Steel is strong, mature, and has the eyes of someone great. Rain is hard working, tough, and extremely determined and then there's Jo someone so brilliant and ingenious but always looking to learn more, how could I not respect them both? There are even those who are flawed, but I respect them anyway, Spice is an asshole, but I could tell she was someone who clawed their way out of whatever shit hole life put them in to become the greatness they are now. Then there's Gray who would do anything to win and tenaciously fight to become greater and Lily shy, and awkward, but faces life never looking for the easy way but the more challenging way.
Next are the ones I respect and like in a friendly way, ImP is a jack of all trades, but uses his observations and intellect to know which to use at the moment. Norn a woman more free and flexible than any person I've ever met, and Sweets a fun-loving girl that would just hit a motherfucker if she wanted to, fucking respect you bitches. Then there's BlaD, who knows what he loves and will change the world for it or die trying finally there's KiWi crazy but can see the world as no one else does and even stands up to gods for those she cares about. I respect all of them, and if you've noticed I haven't mentioned GW or Rose at all good observation cause I don't respect them. Rose is a coward who runs away from what she loves and so was the original a complete coward.
Finally, GW cares about others too much that she almost has no self-respect. She breaks down when she loses control as well which happened multiple times already. She even tries to suppress me instead of looking within herself to keep control of her current self, it's pathetic. That's why the moment we got to the stadium I took control. Now I've been given my orders by the coach and it's time to see what I can do.
They're still confused about me, but it's time to complete this mission. I awaited Mama's return and I know she won't be long. I sensed that they were all trying to sabotage me. These idiots don't know I've read every rule and seen how this league works recently and a long time ago. I had to it's a league that's an open enemy to my family.
I easily fended them off with my killing intent and they all backed off like the cowardly sheep they are. Soon Mama arrived and she nodded as I knew what I had to do next. We were trying to break the mile relay world record so I knew the pace I had to go. I took the baton and ran knowing no one else was going to catch me anytime soon. It was just me and my loneliness with no interruptions for the entire mile.
I soon finished and saw Lily. I handed her the baton and she ran doing her job no matter how bored she looked right now. She probably wanted better competition being a competition junkie and all and finding out there was none must have disappointed her. I soon decided I needed to send GW a message and tell her about my existence. I needed to also tell her I expected better from her in growth and performance, yeah I'm that petty.
Soon I decided on my plan and let her take back control. I now have to find a way to regain control and leave this message. Now I'm going back to my precious horse Wonder and come up with a message to give. I left and soon GW will be back in, 3..2...now. Where am I?
I look around and ask myself, "Why am I in the middle of the field, what happened? I remember arriving at the stadium before everything went black. How did I even get here, am I about to race or did I just finish one? That's when the other runners finished running and one looked at me and came over. She spoke to me saying," Hey get off the field you're done running today right?"
I nodded walking away after politely thanking her. I got off the field and went looking for my team. I soon felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned and saw it was Mama. She asked me," Girl you okay, you look lost? Hey, cheer up you did great and surpassed expectations with your pace."
I did, when the fuck did I run I'm so confused right now. I was soon guided back to where the team was and was greeted by everyone. Vic asked me," Hey you okay how was it?" I told her," I don't remember anything from entering the stadium to now." She nodded and told me," We'll talk later with the team, now watch your highlights, we've got a tournament to crush."
I soon did just that watching myself on screen. I was such a fast and precise machine I couldn't recognize myself. It was like what this body was built to run, but my mind was rejecting it cause it's not how I run. It was like looking at a stranger in my skin. I sat down on one of the lawn chairs we had cause I knew I had a lot of things to think over.
