"That brings matters here to a close. You may return to the Church now!"
Looking at the group from the Church before her, Metatron offered them her sincere blessing.
"Thank you very much, Lady Angel. Had you not been here this time, we would likely have been captured by the fallen angels!"
"Yes, yes! Being able to meet the Lord's messenger is the blessing of a lifetime! We must tell everyone at the Church when we return!"
"O God! Thank You for sending Your messenger to save us in our hour of need!"
Every member of the Church gazed at Metatron with excitement. Had they not retained one final shred of reason, they probably would have thrown themselves at her.
Most members of the younger generation had never seen an angel before, yet now a living, breathing angel had appeared right before their eyes...
It would have been nothing remarkable for seasoned veterans of the Church, but these young people had been raised on the Church's teachings since childhood...
How could they possibly remain calm?
But no matter how excited they were, the time had come to part ways.
"It was nothing, merely a small matter. I have another mission to attend to, so I won't disturb you any longer."
With that, Metatron transformed into white light and vanished from everyone's sight, leaving behind only the people kneeling where they stood and praying.
Heaven.
"Phew... I never expected the Governor-General of the fallen angels to show up this time. That scared me to death!"
"I wonder what my Lord would have done if everyone from the Church had been killed by the fallen angels..."
Metatron grabbed her head in distress, mussing up her hair in the process.
However, she quickly came back to her senses, because she still had a major problem to resolve.
Azazel, the Governor-General of the fallen angels!
In the battle just now... or rather, during that one-sided crushing, Azazel had possessed no chance of escape. Metatron had successfully captured him alive alongside his three fallen angel subordinates.
They were currently imprisoned inside several spherical objects about the size of crystal balls used for divination.
"The two-winged fallen angels don't matter much. Whether they live or die is irrelevant, but..."
What was she supposed to do with Azazel, the Governor-General of the fallen angels?
He was the leader of an entire faction, after all. Would killing him outright be inappropriate?
More importantly, what did the Lord think?
Elise was still in a critical period. Calling the Lord out over something like this...
"She'd beat me up, wouldn't she?"
Metatron sat on a step, boredly propping her chin up with both hands.
"Well, I have nothing else to do right now. I might as well bring that fallen angel out and interrogate him!"
"If I help the Lord resolve a few more matters while she's still busy, perhaps she'll reward me later?"
What followed was merely a fantasy...
"Metatron, well done!"
"Is there any reward you desire? You may ask for anything!"
Elise smiled as she stroked Metatron's head, much like someone petting a little puppy.
Meanwhile, Metatron stared at her creator with shining eyes and swallowed.
"My Lord, may I truly ask for anything?"
"You are my child. Of course you may ask for anything!"
In Metatron's eyes, Elise radiated a maternal glow, leaving her momentarily entranced.
"Then may I call you Mother?"
"Of course."
"Then, Mother, may I have a taste of those magnificent peaks as well?"
"Of course..."
Everything froze upon Elise's smiling face.
Crack, crack—!
For some reason, the fantasy abruptly ended there...
"No, no! How could I possibly harbor improper thoughts about my Lord?"
Realizing that something was wrong with her, Metatron hurriedly shook all those wicked little thoughts from her mind.
"I should deal with the important matter first!"
As she spoke, Metatron gently raised her hand, and a small white sphere of light appeared within the space.
Snap!
Metatron lightly snapped her fingers, and the white sphere erupted with unimaginable brilliance.
Once the light faded, a middle-aged man with a tuft of yellow hair appeared before Metatron.
He was none other than Azazel, the Governor-General of the fallen angels, whom she had encountered not long ago.
However, Azazel now looked considerably more haggard than before, perhaps because he had been captured.
"Beautiful young angel, did you summon me because there's something you wish to know?"
Sweat covered Azazel's forehead. He had now fallen completely into someone else's hands, and whether he lived or died depended entirely upon the mood of the woman before him...
There was nothing he could do. She was simply too powerful!
Even Sirzechs... No! Sirzechs was certainly powerful, but there was still a gap between him and this woman...
Moreover, an angel's light and holiness were the absolute bane of devils!
"You're rather clever, fallen angel."
Metatron was somewhat surprised that Azazel already knew she intended to question him for information.
"It can't be helped. You're so powerful that, no matter how I look at it, you couldn't possibly be interested in the strength of the fallen angel faction..."
"I was once a Seraph of Heaven, and now I am the Governor-General of the fallen angels. The intelligence I possess must be quite valuable, wouldn't you agree?"
"If the Lord obtained it, perhaps it would be of considerable help to Him?"
As he said this, Azazel carefully observed Metatron's reaction. When he mentioned the Lord, he could clearly sense a change in Metatron's emotions...
Could it be?
Azazel could not help directing his gaze toward the largest part of Metatron's body...
Good grief. Even Gabriel's aren't this absurdly large! They've already completely thrown off her body's balance, haven't they? How does she keep herself from toppling over?
There were simply too many things he wanted to comment on, but they all boiled down to one point.
Angels were created by God, so why had God created her with such enormous proportions?
Could God possibly be someone with an intense obsession with that particular area?
Although Azazel was a fallen angel who had lived for an extremely long time, he also possessed a deep understanding of modern society.
That inevitably reminded him of video games...
When a young man played a game, more often than not, he would choose a female character!
After all, what man would want to spend all day watching another man walk around on a screen?
And creating an angel was not merely designing a character. It meant genuinely creating a race and a living being!
It was practically the same as designing a wife for oneself!
God... had only recently revived, hadn't He? This gave Azazel a bold idea.
Could the current God... actually be a young man?
Following that line of reasoning, Metatron's enormous proportions suddenly made perfect sense. After all, she was God's woman...
Perhaps the fallen angels still had a chance to survive!
In that case, he could no longer stare without restraint!
Azazel understood that if she were his woman, he would never allow others to look at her however they pleased. That was simply a man's possessiveness.
And so, Azazel lowered his head...
"I know the secrets of many major factions. Would you allow me to meet the Lord?"
