Chapter 766 - NASM: Chapter 766

Time passed slowly. Harumiko was still in the bathroom, almost finished with her routine — honestly, girls really do take their time getting ready.

"Great! I just finished sorting and compressing everything down. Now we can actually carry it all at once! Even so, travelling with this much stuff will be a bit awkward, but there's no way we're leaving any of it behind," Hiroshi murmured with a smile as he looked over their belongings.

It was getting very late. Harumiko finally finished her shower and was getting ready to come out. Hiroshi had stacked everything neatly together, then walked slowly to the window and sat down, continuing to watch the scenery outside.

"As soon as she comes out, I'll go take my turn. After a nice bath and a good night's sleep, we'll leave tomorrow afternoon. Finally going home... I'll stay there for months this time. It's been over a year since we were last there. I wonder how much everything has changed?" Hiroshi thought quietly while gazing outside.

Meanwhile, Harumiko slowly dried herself off, put on a bathrobe, and stepped out of the bathroom.

"I'm done, Hiroshi! It's your turn now. We've had such a long, tiring day. After you've washed up, let's rest well tonight. Tomorrow we're finally heading home, remember?" she said cheerfully, walking over to where he sat by the window.

Hiroshi nodded with a smile and stood up slowly.

"Right, I'm going right now. While you were in there, I organised and packed everything up so we can take it all with us tomorrow. If I hadn't sorted it, there's no way we could have carried it all — it would've been a waste to leave anything behind," he explained as he walked over to her.

Harumiko glanced at the pile of things beside the bed and nodded happily. "Perfect! Now we can just set off tomorrow morning and go straight home. Now hurry up and wash yourself — I can smell the sweat on you from here! It's really strong!"

Hiroshi instinctively sniffed his clothes and realised she was right — he definitely smelled. He nodded awkwardly and quickly hurried into the bathroom.

"Alright, time for my shower. After that, a good night's sleep... and maybe I'll get to hold her while we sleep tonight, haha!" Hiroshi said to himself, grinning at his reflection in the bathroom mirror.

He began undressing and turned on the hot water. There really is nothing quite as comfortable as a hot bath after a long day.

Time continued to pass. Hiroshi stayed in the bathroom, making sure to wash away every trace of sweat. Harumiko sat by the window, also looking out — surprisingly, there were still plenty of people walking along the streets even at this late hour.

"The journey home will take three whole days... I really wish I could just teleport there instantly. Wouldn't that be amazing? But right now, that's just impossible," Hiroshi thought with his eyes closed, letting the warm water run over him.

He was the type of person whose mind always wandered while showering. It was almost a habit now — but the things he thought about were usually interesting, and often quite useful too.

"As soon as we get back, I'm going to master that Multiple Shadow Clone Technique. Then I'll be able to summon dozens of clones at once!"

"From now on, even if I'm outnumbered on the battlefield, I'll be able to handle them all by myself!" he thought determinedly.

Even before he had travelled to this world, he had always wanted the ability to create shadow clones. Back then, he had dreamed of having one — so he could stay warm and comfortable in bed while his clone went to school or did chores for him.

"I was so naive back then, before I came here. Now that I actually have this ability, I realise it's mostly useful for combat. I don't really use it for everyday life much," Hiroshi reflected while washing himself.

Still, having this power in this world was truly a great advantage.

Whenever he needed to be in two places at once, he could simply create a clone to handle other tasks.

He remembered long ago, when he used to train in the mountains behind the village. He had sent a shadow clone into town to buy breakfast for him — that way, he hadn't wasted any training time, but still got his morning meal. It had been a brilliant solution.
