Chapter 765 - NASM: Chapter 765

To be precise, this was their second-to-last day in the village. Tomorrow, they would buy some supplies and set off — heading straight for home.

The journey from here to Konoha was long, roughly two or three days on the road. The distance between the two villages was indeed great; if they travelled non‑stop, they could make it in two days, but since they were human, they had to rest, eat, and sleep along the way.

"Just thinking about it makes me so excited. Tomorrow we're finally leaving for home. Once we're back, I'm going to take it easy for a good while. And this year, I'll definitely spend the New Year at home — it's only a few months away now. Once we arrive, I can really rest properly," Hiroshi said softly with a smile.

"It's actually strange though — we've been travelling for ages and barely ran into any enemies. I wonder if we'll encounter any on the way back? But even if we do, there's no need to worry. My strength has reached a level where ordinary opponents pose no problem at all. Even if I meet someone roughly equal to me, I can take them down easily," he added, looking out the window confidently.

Just as he said, he was now strong enough to defeat almost any enemy in a very short time. Not only were his abilities far above average, but his weapons were also hundreds — even thousands — of times more powerful than others'. After all, being a traveller from another world came with plenty of advantages.

"We'll rest well tonight. Tomorrow morning we'll buy food for the road, and leave in the afternoon. At that pace, it'll take about three days to reach Konoha. It suddenly hits me how inconvenient it is here — no trains, no proper transport. If only there were portable vehicles, it would save so much time and effort," Hiroshi said, watching people walking back and forth outside.

In this world, travel relied entirely on running on foot. There were no vehicles, which was a huge limitation. If transport existed, everything would be much easier, and missions would take far less time. But technology hadn't developed that far yet — though in a few years, it probably would.

"You just have to adapt to wherever you are. I've gotten used to life without transport over these years, but I still wish we had things like cars," he murmured softly, still looking outside.

He opened the window and leaned his head out. Even now, many people were walking along the streets — the place was still lively.

"This village really is different from others. Most people here seem to prefer moving around at night; I guess they stay indoors during the day. Still, I've seen the Lake of Mirrors now, and it's just as clear and beautiful as the legends said."

"But places like this are probably worth visiting only once. It's not that special after all. Next time we travel, we should go see other villages — they might be far better than this one," he said with a smile.

Less than a day remained before their departure. They needed to make the most of this short time to rest and buy whatever else they wanted. But having enjoyed themselves for days and bought so many things, carrying it all back was going to be a problem.

"Just thinking about how to carry all this stuff gives me a headache. I have my storage ring, but Harumiko doesn't even know it exists... Looking at all these bags piled up, I really don't know how we'll manage," Hiroshi said softly, glancing around the room.

He walked over to the pile of goods and checked which ones could be compressed or packed tightly, so he could strap everything onto his back and carry it all.

"Going shopping with a girl really is troublesome. How are we supposed to move with all this? Carrying this much will definitely slow us down," he muttered with a wry smile.

He started sorting everything out, compressing and bundling items wherever possible to save as much space as he could.
