After hearing the figure, Ember Hollow fell into an eerie silence.
"Entrance exams?" a student asked.
"Yes… entrance exams," the figure echoed.
The figure's voice was so loud that some students covered their ears.
"You're too loud, you dumbass." another voice chimed in lecturing the other person.
"Shut it, old man" the voice retorted back
"..."
'Are they serious?!'
Yuta and the other students shared the same thought, even the attendant.
"Moving on— the entrance exam is rather simple"
All the students straightened, anticipating what would come next—even the usually lackluster Yuta.
"What is going to happen in this exam entirely depends on you. Alliances can be formed, one can move solo, whatever measure you want to take would be completely up to you"
The students listened in silence. Even Asterx paid close attention.
"So, what are we going to do to guarantee success in this exam?" A student asked
"Oh that"
A brief silence settled over Ember Hollow, everyone waiting in anticipation of what would come next
"I've filled the entirety of Valon with Grade 4 and Grade 5 demons."
Silence
Silence
Then-
"What?" the students shouted in unison
"Shut up, you guys are making my ears hurt"
"As I was saying, all you have to do is kill them."
"I really don't care how you do but you must do it and ensure the safety of all the citizens of Valon"
"Bye"
"….."
Ember Hollow fell into silence
'What is wrong with that guy?' Yuta and Rin thought to themselves
*Aghhhh*
The shout of a scream engulfed the whole of Ember Hollow snapping people to reality.
Looking through the window, they saw a demon slowly approaching a young woman running in terror.
"Help me!"
The young woman screamed and across the other side walking sluggishly was a demon.
The demon had six arms; its face twisted into something grotesque.
The students hadn't fully registered what the figure had said before
As all pondered on what to do, a girl walked out of the Ember Hollow.
Her platinum hair, streaked with gold, shimmered as her elf ears peeked through.
Captivating the remaining students with her emerald eyes that looked like glass, she left the building elegantly
"Who is she?" one student asked another.
"I don't know" another chimed in
'Hmm' Asterx and Yuta both watched calmly
The girl stepped forward just as the fleeing woman ran past her.
"Run"
"Run!" the woman said as she continued running into the distance
"Why?" the girl asked calmly.
As the demon edged closer to the girl, a bow materialized from thin air, almost like created out of nothing.
Holding the bow in her hand, the elf girl flashed a brief smile which disappeared as it came.
In that instant, the demon which had been taking its time stalking the woman like prey suddenly leapt forward to attack
"Hahaha"
"What surge of mana flows through you" the demon said cackling
One of the demon's six arms morphed into a long, extended blade.
Swinging it with enormous force, the sword cut the air clean damaging buildings in the process.
As the sword reached the elf girl, she stomped her foot on the ground creating a slight crack before ducking down dodging the sword
The sword cut through a few windows and even some lampposts.
"Oh" the demon laughed cackling
Amidst all the noise being made, all students just watched this fight in awe, clearly captivated at what they were seeing
The elf girl jumped up in the air drawing arrows made of pure condensed mana as she shot them at unremarkable speed towards the demon
'Fast' Yuta thought to himself
The demon did not notice the arrow until it shot him straight in the arm which had formed a sword
"Aghhh"
Screams envoleped the street, the demon reminiscing in pain while the elf girl looked in disgust
"Disgusting"
"You are dead bitch" the demon cursed
The demon tried retracting its arm which had once been a sword but it suddenly blew up much to its amazement
"What?"
The demon was horrified, his blood splashing over the ground and even staining some of the windows of buildings
Staring at its black gue which was its blood, fear crept into the demon as it lost all its reasoning
"Just die"
The demon said turning all its arms to weapon and striking towards the elf girl in all diretions
"Pitiful"
The elf girl replied
As the attacks came, she dodged all attacks effortless and beautifully enticing everyone who watched the spectacle
It was scene from a movie to everyone who was watching
Shooting four more arrows towards the demon, the demon turned its arms into shield blocking the attack
"Typical"
As the arrows collided with the shield, it became a battle of attack versus defense.
The elf girl watched on and the demon pressed on in attempt to block the immense attack
"Ha" the demon smiled
"What-?"
After some time, the demon's shield began to show slight cracks
This continued for a while before eventually one of the arrows broke through.
One pierced its head, another its chest, and two piercing the arms and legs
"How?" the demon asked
The elf girl just looked at it cynically before speaking up
"Die"
The arrows which had pierced the demon raged terribly within the demon before being blown to smatterings ending its life instantly.

A blue hologram screen enveloped the Ember Hollow and outside

'Guess I can't take this lightly after all.' Yuta muttered to himself clearly in annoyance
