As Yuta and Rin entered the Ember Hollow, the first thing they noticed was the large crowd.
"Why are there so many people here at this hour?" Yuta asked, looking at the crowd.
Noticing the crowd, Rin and Yuta signaled for Kuro and Luna to transform into their weapon forms.
"What the heck is all this?" one of the people said.
"I was supposed to be heading to Luminary Academy, but I was stopped here instead," another said.
Others shouted in unison.
"Um, can you let me speak?" the attendant said.
Despite trying to get the students' attention, her words fell on deaf ears, making her even more tense and afraid.
"Please let me talk" the attendant spoke
"Huh?" one of the students responded
"You bitch, do you know who I am?" the student said.
"Um, no" the attendant
"If you did, you'd understand why you should revere me. My family—especially my father—would not appreciate this."
Watching the woman cower in fear made Rin angry.
Rin started walking toward the student before Yuta grabbed him by the shoulder.
"What are you trying to do Rin?" Yuta asked
"I'm going to give him a piece of my mind."
"Please, let's not attract attention to ourselves. Let her handle it."
"Don't tell me what to do" Rin said shrugging off walking up to the student
The student who was still shouting at the poor attendant had reached his breaking point and raised his hand to strike the woman, but Rin caught his wrist at the last moment.
"What are you up to?" Rin asked, his tone laced his anger
'Oh god' Yuta thought to himself
"What are you trying to do touching me, insect" the student spoke up
"You know you are scaring her right"
"I don't give a damn" the student said as he shrugged his hand off
"You know I am Asterx, the prince of Fitric kingdom"
Asterx was tall and broad, built like a tank. His red hair and ocean-blue eyes making him stand out among his peers.
Hearing what the student said made everyone wide-eyed.
The attendant and Rin were quiet before the attendant knelt down in fear
"I am sorry sir"
"Please forgive this establishment"
Watching the woman cower in fear made Rin's skin crawl.
"Now you know, kneel before me you commoner"
"How about I say no?" Rin retorted
The whole place went quiet for a second
Asterx face twitched for a second before he attempted to punch Rin
*Thud*
Fist clashed with hand. Everyone had expected it to be Asterx face against Rin face but shock spread when Asterx's fist clashed with Yuta's hand
"Who are you to dare defy me?" Asterx asked grinning menacingly
"Sorry about my brother, but would you mind not attacking him?"
"He-"
"Shut it. Don't cause trouble," Yuta said, his voice laced with anger as it chilled the atmosphere.
'This year is scary' the attendant thought to herself
Yuta released Asterx hand before dragging Rin away but that ticked off Asterx the more
'Who is this punk talking to me with those ice-cold eyes'
Asterx channeled mana into his hand strengthen his punch by tenfold
As Asterx ran and was about to strike Yuta with his fist, Yuta turned at the last second looking at him with his ice-cold eyes
"Don't think about it!" Yuta said calmly
Sweat dripped on Asterx body but instead of cowering in fear, it made him increasingly happy
"I like you"
Asterx prepared to strike before a voice cut the atmosphere
"You guys, I had a blast watching this slug fest"
"But"
An aura so heavy engulfed the whole Ember Hollow. So thick that Yuta couldn't breathe for a moment.
"I need you to respect this place and this attendant"
The once heavy aura dissipated giving everyone a chance to breathe
"You all must be wondering what you are doing here right now"
The place remained quiet for a little while before the figure spoke calmly
"Time for your entrance exams."
