"Uhm, Nettle Bay is notorious for its large industrial zones. The air might be bad for the pets. Also, the city only has three animal clinics despite its population. I think the count is justified." Claude only entertained the gossip to pass the time.
"Really? Just three?" Courtney softly scoffed. "Lunavida City is smaller than Nettle Bay, and it has five."
Before Claude could respond, they heard a little shriek from the seats. One of the new arrivals broke out of its leash. The terrified dog ran around, scaring the other sleeping pets and their owners.
At the noise, Courtney hissed. Claude could only extend a hand and call the pup to make it stop. The poor thing had run around and streaked the floor with its piss. However, it stayed in place when Claude called it. Its white tongue even licked its lips before walking slowly toward Claude's hand. Its ears were pulled back, torso lowered in deference. Still, it sat just below Claude's palm and allowed the wolf to pet it.
