Claude couldn't help but stay quiet. He glanced at Courtney, who could only look at the floor. He then turned to Luke. "Doctor, are you from… Marble City?"
"My sister married that little brother and moved to Marble City." Luke scoffed with a self-ridiculing smile. "You guys even know what happened there. I guess you're not so oblivious about these white flowers. Tell me… did Valentin go insane? How did he get these flowers growing out of him? He passed his initial checks when I released him. He couldn't have been sick by then."
"Doctor…" Claude didn't know how to draw the picture for this man. He shifted in his seat as if movements could help him organize his thoughts.
"So what happens now, Doctor Hayes?" Courtney took a deep breath and asked, "Are you going to turn us away?"
