"Damn it!"
Akira was upset. He had wanted to obtain the weapons of the Future King himself! But he had no way to get them.
Akira looked at the footage of Mitsuo's victory against Satori. It was publicized by one of his NS Publicity workers across the infonet.
It was titled as 'Mitsuo the Riku Tensai defeats a demon from ancient times' Because the war obviously was not to be revealed.
It had brought massive morale to the soldiers who watched watching. And it was incredible propaganda for the citizens and followers of Kagaku.
'Where does he keep those weapons? He even has PORTALS!?'
Akira kept on watching the video to the end.
'He turned it into stone! And how does he have such massive output!'
Akira was flabbergasted. He had wanted the technologies of the Future King. So he could study and recreate them for the NS. Expanding his power and authority. But he was denied by Mitsuo.
But not even Akira had expected the absurdity of the technology that Mitsuo had been holding onto. Not even the best augments the land of Kagaku could produce that big a blast or that hard a punch. Let alone how that portal technology worked.
But Akira and the infonet itself had already formed all kinds of theories about the kinds of technologies that were used.
The stone was probably from the green light, a distinctive sign of nanomachines polluting the air. And some people who Akira thought was dumb were already calculating the power needed to make wormholes.
'It's obviously quantum tunneling!' Akira was using his alt accounts on social media to argue with strangers online.
He spent his time explaining how, if they had the power source to make actual wormholes. they would already be at least a full type 2 Kardashev Civilization. Which they were not.

Mitsuo was busy. He was monitoring the sole extraterrestrial project he had on the other side of the solar system.
The planet was named Ambus by Mikitaka over 200 years ago. And Mitsuo began its terraforming 150 years ago.
Although Mitsuo had resolved the issue of the box of ultimate bliss and stored it away within the inventory the war was still going badly.
The sages had dominated the lands for millenia before the rise of Kagaku and they had a massive advantage in sheer accumulated population.
Kagaku also heavily limited my its material science. He remembered something Kagaku said about that, "Science is a path with payoffs at different points compared to the sages path."
The point was that in terms of individual power the augments that the Land of Kagaku could create were simply not enough to face off against giant snakes and toads. Their mechs were fragile in comparison to the flesh of the sages. Even in his fight with Satori, he had to constantly shatter his arms and legs and replace them because they weren't tough enough to handle his power output.
It's easy to make a nuclear bomb but It's hard to make a gun that shoots with those bombs. And even the materials that do meet such strength are not self repairing like flesh. As the technological base required to make nanomachines to do that hasn't been made yet. And Mitsuo does have all these things but that's just him. What must be considered is all of the Land of Kagaku.
If the land of Kagaku were to fall into destitution due to the war. Thousands dead and their technological foundation destroyed. This terraforming project would allow for Kagaku to endure and have a fresh start in a place with no outside interference.
The terraforming project has already managed to create full technological infrastructure on Ambus. It could finally self terraform without Mitsuo's supervision with its complex algorithms. The planet already had factories with all kinds of machines running everything.
'I should mass produce space lasers'
Mitsuo made his decision to go all in on the war. As he now had a proper fallback for losing.
'We only have 3 months left until we buckle under the pressure of the sages madness... I saw an extremely small humanoid pursuing the box as I was placing it away. I should deploy nanomachines from the inventory to find it.'
Mitsuo inputted the order to find the humanoid that his eyes had recorded into the inventory. It would send down about 10 mountain sized swarms of nanomachines that created no light refractions this time to search all around the globe.
'Remember... preserve history. Sensei said that. It would be a tragedy to exterminate them, don't use weapons of mass destruction.'
"But they've all gone mad"
Mitsuo was very stressed.

"Honey! look at this."
Tenji showed his wife a holographic projection of Mitsuo's fight with Satori. It showed only camera angles coming from above as the fight was recorded using satellites from above zooming all the way on Mitsuo from space.
Kaguya observed the fight quietly. She showed little reaction as the fight went on. Kaguya had seen many powerhouses within the Otsutsuki clan that were infinitely more powerful than what this fight was showing. So Kaguya was not impressed.
But Kaguya was watching intently as she saw this 'Riku Tensai' was able to create portals. This was something that she had only seen the Otsutsuki do to traverse dimensions.
At the end of the fight Kaguya finally showed a light expression of suprise. She had not expected for the large monster to suddenly turn to stone.
"So what do you think?"
"I think it's very nice."
Tenji frowned.
"You can give your honest opinion. I won't judge."
"The fight wasn't very impressive. It had some interesting aspects but that's it."
Tenji smiled.
"Well I think it's time to give you some fresh air. Do you want to visit our children?"
And then Tenji pushed Kaguya, who was sitting in her wheelchair with no feet, to the door.
